Exactly. When the entire Justice system is running the scam of trying to investigate a complete fabrication, then how in the hell can you be guilty of obstruction of them? It's happening to Assange....and Manning as well right now. It's like the old scam when a Police officer tries to detain you for being drunk in public, because you are sitting on your porch drinking, but then you're Blood Alcohol isn't that high so they cite you for disorderly conduct. Total scam.

Don't you see, devil, that's what they want. To be able to roll everything into world government, they had to undermine the U.S.. They've been working on it for many, many years. I think of countries as cutouts where people of similar beliefs can live together peacefully. And as said by a variety of our founding fathers, we should trade and travel with other countries. There is no reason why they have to be like us; quite the contrary. They live as they choose and we live as we choose. As long as there is no attacks against us, or imminent threat of one, we should leave each other the heck alone, outside of trade and travel and being well-wishers. World government doesn't cause peace among all peoples. What it does is hand all power to an even smaller group of people. People that we have no chance whatsoever to replace. You think it's bad now? You ain't seen nothing yet. Our Founding Fathers wanted the majority of any government we had to be close to us, or with us individually. The reason for that is so that we could kick out the bums very easily. The further government gets from us... state... federal...world, the less control we have over it. Government may be a wicked necessary evil, but if it is to satisfactorily exist, it must be tightly constrained (by us). We should be working to reduce what the federal government is involved in and sending necessary functions back down to the states and the people. NOT trying to help the world communists push more power up to a global elite.

True and as much as I like Justin, I would not vote for him. This is not the time. All he would do is possibly get us a Biden or Kamala Harris. As many shortcomings as Trump has, we do seem to have his ear to some degree. Or at least Rand thinks so. Justin has no chance whatsoever. You know that, Justin knows that and I know that. I think it's strange that he would pick this time to run for president. Something is up with Justin for the last couple of years. Not sure what, but hanging back and watching.

No. Just no. There is a huge difference between new inventions changing the way we live, produce and operate in our country and government passing laws and enacting regulations to encourage entire industries to relocate to other countries. Then, give our tax dollars to fund roads, schools, airports, etc. in those countries to aid said corporations.

Yep. You don't have to agree with his assessment. I think he is way off base and I think this is a battle he should just let die. Every POTUS in my lifetime probably has been guilty of some crime or misdemeanor that was impeachable, but there is bigger stuff to tackle.

Holy Crap. American's knew we were in a war with Germany. It was clear and it was a military operation with a stated objective to free Europe from Nazi control. This dumbass is comparing the secrecy of a Wartime military procedure and tactics in a single operation (D-Day) with the Perpetual state of war we have been in for a generation now as a license to lie to the American people forever.

Aligning? Collectivize much. How about Amash just sees this differently and his assessment doesn't "Align" with yours. Or even mine for that matter. I don't agree with him, but I'm getting sick and tired of the baseless ALL OR NOTHING camps springing up. Amash may be completely wrong on this, but that doesn't mean he isn't a friend of liberty. Stick around and watch Swordsmyth flail the False Dichotomy narrative everytime the Trumpster gets questioned. he moron label is apropos and still stands.

While I don't think it was politically-wise to do what Justin did, I still respect him. I don't agree with him on this, but I am going to wait and see if there is something I do not know. In the meantime, while far, FAR, from perfect, I still generally support Trump's presidency. Amash has indicated he was thinking about running for President on the Libertarian ticket. I wonder if this might be about that and getting his name in the headlines. Time will tell. I'm not going to throw Justin under the bus. He's been a wonderful Congressman. We just disagree on this.

What you are is an AI bot. There is no respect, whether for enemy, friend or your idol. There is certainly no concern for your fellow man, because men are clearly not your fellows. There is only a lot of cut and paste, a lot of repetition (until you're called on it, then there's repetition of something else) a baud rate of about a million, and a post rate of a hundred a minute. And a constant repetition of your parameters. Well if Bryan wants to run a testing ground for AI bots that's his business.

I believe the term you used was witch hunt. It's your usual double standard. Judge Nap. Justin fucking Amash now, as if you're worthy to polish his shoes. Half this forum. All you do is hunt witches. You're the Spanish fucking Inquisition. You have no idea what they'll use it for. But, as we can all see, you never, ever let a little thing like a lack of ESP (or an abundance if ignorance) keep you from spouting off. Let he who never goes fishing cast the first stone. Oh, wait. Those with rocks in their head can't cast anything else.

Maybe. The House can review tax returns for legislative purposes. The possibility that Trump has been giving favors to favor seekers foreign and domestic who use the services of his hotels is certainly an area where legitimate legislation could occur. The odds of you or I being in a situation where we could sell influence in a way creative enough to warrant new legislation is remote. The reason all this is unprecedented is because every president has voluntarily released his tax returns every year since 1976. Just as Ron Paul did (which is why I made the statement you ignored that this would never have come up in a Paul presidency). The last one who figured he was too good for transparency was Nixon. Until now. And as usual, Swordshyll is mistaken. The House is not looking for anything more than his tax returns and the documents that support them. If you don't believe me, maybe you'll believe Fox. https://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/justice-lawyers-fail-to-halt-trump-financial-records-release Even if the House does get them, and even if they are just digging for dirt, and even if they find it, they won't be able to show them to anyone, and won't be able to pass any ex post facto laws to snag him. So if he has good reason to keep these secrets, like he already violated existing laws, it's going to get interesting, because they presumably can't even show the proof to prosecutors. And thank you both for your concern. I and mine had no trouble from the storm. Your humane solicitude is touching.

He is refusing to release records for an audit. To do so would land you or I in jail, but a sitting president cannot be jailed. There is no possible precedent in that which could possibly help anyone but him. I would wonder why he has stopped doing what he has been doing for decades and decades. What if Ron Paul suddenly started behaving like Trump is a meaningless question to me. And there's a tornadic storm over my head, which is more of a threat to me than this repetitive and vitriolic nonsense I'm getting in this thread. So if you'll excuse me...

You seem to have pulled that from where the sun don't shine, because it has no basis in reality. Wherever you got it you may shove it back in now. And what would happen to anyone else if we refused to release records during an audit, hmmm...? Therefore he is using the Constitution to protect himself while he commits acts that would land any if the rest of us in jail, is that what you're saying? And I suppose you're going to try to spin that as not impeachable? You just painted you're ass in a corner. Whether or not you're smart enough to see it or honest enough to admit it.

No, I think so long as the government claims the right to do it to us, neither members if Congress, nor Supreme Court justices, nor the president should be immune.
