I keep seeing stories saying that there are a lot of restrictions on what can happen to Biden's campaign money. It appears that apparently it cannot be transferred to another candidate's campaign, but some think that it could be transferred to Harris's campaign because she was the VP candidate (supposedly--but is this even true, since the convention had not named her that yet?). I don't want to dig deep enough into the details to figure out what the law actually is and what loopholes it has. Nor am I confident that it will actually be enforced as written. But one thought I just had is, the money probably doesn't need to be transferred to anyone else's campaign. It can probably just be spent by the Biden campaign on ads that will have Joe Biden's approval, but just to encourage people to support Harris for President, or even someone else if Harris doesn't get the nomination. It may not be legal for the Biden campaign organization to coordinate with the official campaign of whoever it ran ads for. But that would be no different than a SuperPAC. Am I wrong?

Just remember, you haven't been seeing this quite correctly. You were certain that Biden would be the nominee to ensure a Trump victory. Like I said, it's hard to know for sure what's going on, but the way it looks to me is that they removed Biden from the public so they could issue his letter to the world. He was probably unaware of what they were doing until it was too late. I don't think they'll off him, but I do think they're working him over to make sure he knows to follow the party line. As for Kamala, I'm pretty sure this is another head fake. If the party can control public perception enough to save the down-ballot races, they may let her stay the nominee. But if I'm right, that's going to fall apart after a few public appearances and maybe an interview or two, and then they'll open the convention to the Draft Michelle movement (or maybe even Hillary). In any case, we're being presented with a show and we're trying to predict how it will unfold. The truth is that since Trump cheated better than Hillary in 2016, the whole establishment power game has gone haywire. Lockdowns, racial strife, wealth transfers, stolen elections, framed for treason, lawsuits, indictments, convictions, senility, assassination attempts, silent coups... The ruling class is playing House of Cards competing over the power and the people of the world pay the price.

Don't you remember when Julius Caesar was stabbed in the back by his Senators and Rome banned blades of all sorts?? (actually what happened is the assassination backfired and triggered a series of Civil Wars which eventually led to Octavian (Augustus Caesar) to assume the throne which marked the end of the Roman Republic and the beginning of the Roman Empire.)

It's hard to know what to think. But don't worry, pretty soon our programmers will tell us everything we are allowed to know. Seriously, I'm not a Russian historian, but I've read enough Soviet history to know how this feels. They attempt to assassinate a candidate - after impeaching him, framing him for treason, suing him, indicting him and convicting him. Then, a week later, the "President" gets swept away and we get a letter posted that he's not running for re-election and then we haven't seen or heard from him since. The new puppet has a single speaking engagement to read off a teleprompter with zero questions. In the meantime, the head of the Secret Service testifies all day about how 'mistakes were made' and she's 'taking responsibility' but doesn't quit and doesn't admit anything. I suppose this is what it was like living in the Soviet Union. Surreal.

Case in point. I never said a word about Bitcoin. But yes, I agree that another round of Trumpflation would bode well for all those who have exchanged their US dollars for other assets, and poorly for those who hold onto their dollars.

Which is worse? Cyanide or arsenic?? At this point, protectionist tariffs are baked in regardless of which candidate they stick us with. Just like deficit spending, MIC spending, increasing debts, etc....

Not necessarily. That's the standard bureaucratic dodge to avoid accountability. They have so many agencies responsible for each tiny little part so they can all avoid accountability for the ultimate result. It's a team effort. ;)

She keeps going on about "suspicious" versus "threatening" behavior. So, a guy with a range finder that then gets up on a roof with a rifle, who then points it at a local law enforcement agent, is "suspicious" - not "threatening". They would only keep Trump off the stage if someone was threatening... "You might rabbit, you might..."

Regardless of the implications for the election, do you not agree that Biden should resign? He is not fit to be POTUS. And even as a political calculation, Johnson's call for him to resign may be more savvy than you are saying. Because Biden is not going to resign. And Kamala is not going to invoke the 25th Amendment. The failure of both of them to do those things is a valid complaint, and one that the Republican party would be wise to use against them.

This looks like a case where the reason there is no media attention is because nobody is going to say the cop was right or had any kind of legitimate excuse, or that the woman did anything wrong. There's just not the opportunity to drum up controversy that the more publicized incidents bring.

Yep. That's always the case. If you want on the news, the press needs to see the story as something that will resonate with their viewers/readers AND/OR you need to appeal to some political agenda.

Thats great. I hope whatever you two learned sticks forever. We're really struggling financially and of course we have other problems, but we're together, pretty happy and have faith that it will be OK.
I forget where you went. Can you tell me about the place? I also wnt to know (if you want to tell me) where you took her on date night. On our date night we went out to dinner and had some horrible conch fritters. NEVER AGAIN on conch fritters. But then we went out to a bar on the beach, and took a moonlight walk. Wound up nekked making love on the beach and got caught by a couple walking by. Allin all it was a great trip. Our's was in Delray Beach Florida.

I do not think your wife would have any problem finding a nursing job up here. My sister-in-law is going back to school just so she can become a nurse and she plans on moving here from Florida, that was the reason for her career change. They have visiting nurses. There are lots of good hospitals like Dartmouth Hitchcock.
