Unfortunately, this is bleeding over into private schools as well. The institutions are definitely pushing it hard, but we gotta remember that these institutions are run by people. And right now, the people have lost their damned minds. Even the ones who sense something is wrong with all this are afraid to speak up for fear of being labeled as a racist. When, in fact, those pushing these types of things couldn't be more racist!
This goes back to "intellectual" pursuits vs. real world concrete pursuits. We've fooled generations of people into thinking they can pursue intellectualism lazily. So you get people attracted to the fields like education, journalism, law, politics, or the arts, without the empirical academic rigor that those fields should entail. And they're safe because unlike real-world pursuits, if they produce shoddy products, they pay no price for being wrong. Whereas, if you or I mess up, your employer or customer will know pretty quickly.
What's worse, is that they're ALL lazy now and don't even realize it. Something like 95% of people in those fields, not only think in a similar way, but they think they're right and you're too stupid to understand how smart they are!
