Yes , really , bad things may happen . I saved the best Ft Detroit bedtime story for last . In 1706 while Cadillac was away he left Bourgmont in command . The Ottawa attacked the Miami . The Miami went to the Ft . The Ottawa attacked the Ft and the French killed 30 of them . They left and the Miami attacked the Ottawa village . A french Priest and a Sgt. were killed in the crossfire . When Cadillac returned he was not impressed with how Bourgmont handled everything . Bourgmont and some other French soldiers deserted and left . One deserter was eventually caught and he told of the others killing and ate one of the French troops. So , it is said this french soldier ( the one eaten by his comrades ) wanders .
That may have been her I saw with Danke outside The Oaks Card Club last time I was down there having a beer before an A's game @ the Corner Hof Brau . They were probably headed over to San Pablo to the Injun casino to hang out with the Pomo indians . Danke likes hanging with the natives .
Earlier today , I picked up a 1905 S silver Barber Half , ( I have a buyer for it already ) , got a 1901 O silver Barber quarter , an 1882 Shield nickel , an 1853 with Arrows silver dime and a 1917 D Type 2 silver quarter . I needed the Type 2 and could use a couple more .
Just think , If I could have bought the lions for 8k , the Colts would still be in Baltimore and the Browns would never have left Cleveland . Danke could be working for me , flying the Team. In order to save money I would just travel with the Team , so I could sit up front with Danke and drink Bourbon and pass down some of my wisdom to him while he is working :)
Well , they did lure the Lions away from Portsmouth , Ohio , only about a year after the Spartans made the Championship game . The team cost 7,952 FRN's , I would have bought them if I had the money ..... a yr later , in 1935 the Lions won the Championship .
REVEALED: Safety technology designed to stop trains travelling too fast and crashing was MISSING from doomed Hoboken train
In the 1670's some french Missionaries found a stone idol there that was venerated by the Indians and destroyed it with axes . That score has not been settled yet and since it still bears the french name for Straight , I imagine it will once again burn to the ground :)
Those were not my people , My people are the ones that got Col Crawford on the Crawford expedition . He did not hold up very well so he was only tortured a couple hours before being burnt alive . However , if Pontiac had taken and held Detroit and gifted it to us in alliance , I would accept and there would still be Pontiac's in production :).
In 1761 The Seneca began to plot the attack executed in 1763 , 8 forts were taken and two put under seige, the first attack on Detroit was May 7 , by May 9 , every British citizen and soldier found outside the Ft were killed by the Ottawa , Ojibway , Potawatomis , and Huron and for good measure one British soldier was cannibalized .
It sits on cursed and bloody ground . I never sleep there . It burned to the ground in 1805 . Most american dead there ( 1813) than any battle in the War of 1812 . Pontiac was unable to take it during the last year of the French and Indian War ( 1763) .
"We do have some differences and our approaches will be different, but that makes him his own person. I mean why should he [Rand] be a clone and do everything and think just exactly as I have. I think it's an opportunity to be independent minded. We are about 99% [the same on issues]." Ron Paul
