Rehabilitation of the reputation of someone who deserves a worse reputation than he has is not my idea of a higher goal. So, why is it, again, every time someone says, Trump never kept any if those billion campaign promises, you start screaming "Black Pill! Black Pill!"? For whom? If Swordy, dannno, and the rest of the eighteen hundred or two thousand equally stubborn people who still haven't figured out Trump ain't going to save us do lose faith in that particular pipe dream, how is that a bad thing? Because like every Nixon voter I ever knew, until at least 1979, he just can't admit to you, me or himself that he bought the bullshit. It is, however, interesting to note that it isn't just leftists who accuse anyone and everyone else of doing what they do.

I'm sure the shills feel the same way. But if only people deifying Trump and (other) people deranged over him are allowed to talk about him now, I didn't get the memo. So, if you don't know what to make of Trump, and don't know if he's a member of the most evil cabal ever or just some hapless schmuck, how do you judge who is and isn't "deranged" about him? I mean, I don't remember anyone ever being mocked for being deranged over Lee Harvey Oswald, harmless as he was. Is everyone who's capable of forming an opinion about him deranged over him now? That's probably not the main thing. Usually the main thing is, Republicans have been known to fight tyrannical acts, spending trillions on socialized medicine, and such things, unless it's their guy doing it.

I hear ya. It's just that I grew up in a poor, urban, majority black neighborhood and for a while, I rode the city bus to a mixed-race private school. The culture in my neighborhood couldn't have been more different than the culture the black kids in my school grew up in. The black kids in my school were the kind that would get all the advantages of affirmative action when they didn't even need it, while the kids in my neighborhood were the victims of those same policies. Mine was the only white family in my development, but I knew other white kids growing up in the same circumstances, minus the exposure to other cultures. And they succumbed to the same fate. It really can't be overstated how much one's culture will impact their choices. Like I said, there will always be exceptions (I am proof of that) but that's what we are - exceptions. In addition to that cross-cultural upbringing in the city, I was also exposed to my dad's side of the family in rural Pennsylvania. 100% white, but the drug use and crime was nearly as bad - it just presented differently. Thomas Sowell has written tons of books on how culture influences behavior and it does so all over the world.

Well, yes. But culture influences choices. There will always be people in every culture who make choices outside of their cultural norms, but those people are the exceptions - not the rule.

The Rivian R1s has a battery weight of over 1750lbs. Plus the additional weight in the structural support to carry that battery, makes it over 7000lbs in total. And they really want you to believe that this much more weight is more efficient than ICE. The EV Hummer battery alone weighs as much as the entire Pittsburgh Steelers offense in their heavy run package. And you're carrying around that weight EVERY WHERE YOU GO. "Efficiency!" EV's are not made for momentum, they are made for torque. (which is the first thing you notice when you drive one and why people like the experience - torque feels good.) But for snow, it's best to have lower torque. The additional weight is good for traction, but high weight and high torque means spinning. One other point on maintenance costs. EV's are advertised as having lower maintenance costs because there are fewer moving parts. This is only partially true. Planned maintenance costs are lower; unplanned maintenance costs are much higher. But again, that's not in the marketing propaganda.

Culture has more to do with these numbers than race. It's just that more black people are living in that culture. If you looked at white people in that same culture, the numbers would be nearly identical. When you view these things through the lens of race, you get a very distorted picture. The murderers in these statistics have other things in common more than race. Unfortunately, just like the corporate press does, it's the easiest thing to categorize. Instead of race, try looking at these statistics as people in fatherless homes, people addicted to drugs, people from families on the government dole, people in densely-packed cities, people from failing schools, people who dropped out of school, people who are unemployed....
