If Trump's lead collapsed in Pennsylvania it's a combination of Tony Hinchcliffe's "joke" and JD Vance's response that people should just "get over it." Be mad at the Puerto Ricans all you want but that was an objectively stupid move by the Trump campaign to have Hinchcliffe perform at all. Trump supporters are upset about the "garbage" comment from Biden? Well Kamala Harris totally disavowed herself from Biden's comments and said she wants to be the president of all voters, even those who didn't vote for her, and she was against disparaging anyone. Hate her all you want, but that's a more effective strategy then saying "People get offended too easily. Just get over it." Trump has made gains in the black and latino communities but he would be much further ahead if he wasn't an ass and he didn't surround himself with other people who were jerks and he occassionaly threw some of these people under the bus the way Kamala just threw Joe Biden under the bus. We'lll see what happens election day.

https://www.foxnews.com/media/nfl-legends-daughter-endorses-trump-opposes-biological-males-womens-sports-taking-away-womens-rights The daughter of the late NFL legend Jim Brown endorsed former President Donald Trump, explaining how his support for the Black community shifted her perspective during his first term in office. Kimberly Brown revealed how her father's involvement with Trump "opened" her eyes during "FOX & Friends," and explained why she decided to endorse the former president as opposed to Vice President Kamala Harris. ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER ENDORSES HARRIS, BUZZ ALDRIN BACKS TRUMP "My dad went to go meet with President-elect Trump, and when my dad went to go meet with the president-elect, that really opened up my eyes," Brown said on Friday. "I stayed neutral for about a year within his presidency, and after that… I came out as a Trump supporter because I saw the moves that Donald Trump was making."

Those seem to be the same people who want their kids to get trophies for losing a soccer game. Lash them once with an 8 ga. soft iron wire across their back and it might straighten them up. OTOH, anyone that far gone might be beyond correction. Difficult to tell these days. This one of those aspects of American culture gone amok that has, IMO, done all sorts of damage. I see no valid basis for falling to my knees in worship every time you do something correctly, particularly when I pay you to do it so. To be fair, the problem roots with the taxpayers who put the same yoyos into positions of power over and over again no matter how abominably they perform their duties.

Right now the FAA seems to be hampering SpaceX over "safety concerns" and the effect of sonic boom on seals while at the same time NASA is counting on SpaceX to fix Boeing's mess which left two astronaughts stranded on the space station. I'm not sure how that helps "the people."

Many problems here. For one thing, what is even meant by "efficiency"? Do I want efficient government? Methinks I don't. I want small goverment. Tiny. Vanishingly so. I've head Musk make some comments in the past that left me shaking my head. That aside, because it is "government", I refuse to trust it, save that it will serve to exercise my sphincter. No thanks. And not to beat a dead horse, but the focus is on efficiency and not size. Perhaps the latter is intended, but if so, then use the damned correct words. Pooching so much as the language you use gives me no reason for confidence here. Here's Osan's Law, riffing off of Murphy: If "government" can make things worse, it will. And really... Making yet another government department? Is there no end to the irony?

Man, this is what Dave means... This thread is about the Tom Woods /Dave Smith interview. There's a whole other thread about the idiotic tariff idea (and we're in agreement, there) But for some reason, you keep bringing it back to an ideological topic - even when the thread is about REALITY of the whole situation. It's like you're glitching out to feed your ego.

I think the FAA making it almost impossible for SpaceX to test launch it's new booster rocket at a time when Boeing's obvious failures have astronauts trapped the space station waiting for a SpaceX rescue. And she might sing for Kamala if Kamala wins. But Kamala's so hateful she might not keep up that tradition even though the singer is a (fellow?) black woman.

I have a video I need to post that shows a black leftist commentator who is not voting for Kamala Harris (she's voting for Jill Stein) but is still pointing out that Kamala seems to be making a last ditch push for suburban white women to overcome her drop in support among blacks and Hispanics. Y'all been worried about the minorities when it's your women that are the problem. And I know you already know this. Michelle Obama's latest screed wasn't aimed at blacks but aimed at women in general to get their men in line to go vote for Kamala and then if they don't to "cancel" their man's vote with their own. Of course....she must not have done well in math. If someone is already voting for Kamala and they find out someone else is voting for Trump they can't cancel that person out by doing what they were already going to do anyway.

Just watched this podcast. I think that's a valid thought process depending on your situation. For me, I'm feeling the Tom/Dave argument. I see hope on the horizon. I don't think the old "republicans" will ever get their act together, but there may be a new blood taking over the brand. And we can expect a generation of politicians from here on out that will have to talk to podcasters and have long-form discussions. That could foster a whole new brand of libertarian populism. I also see the threat of censoring speech and what effect that will have on the politicians we get in the future. There are two reasons I don't want to go out backwards like in the card game 500. First, is because I recognize the hardship on my children and grandchildren and would like to avoid that, if possible. Second, is because we have no assurances of what may emerge on the other side. At least Trump buys us time. AND... whether or not I like it, the machine takes him as a repudiation.

I suppose I’m the only one who sees a serious danger of arising fascism from all this “cooperation” between large corporations and government? Carry on. By the time the whole thing comes to a head I’ll probably be too dead to care anyway.

Yes! YES! Use tariffs as a tool! For large, well-connected corporations and industries to destroy small competitors and plunder their own customers, er I mean to more fairly compete with foreign carpetbaggers! Moar tariffs1 MOAR!

It is what it is, brother. He’s been getting away with that shit for years now. I’ve been called a “commie” or a “traitor” or a “shill” or a “mole” by him so many times I couldn’t begin to count them. Then, if you start responding to him and his forum buddies in kind YOU get called on “ad hominem” by them. In truth, I just laugh it off. It’s never gonna change and it just shows how insecure in their own positions they are. Let him rant. I’ll just get on with my day.

He was warned repeatedly about this: Here he is laughing it off. Somebody should worry about the effect it has on the health of this forum. The usual election year psychosis is bad enough without him being immune to the rules and spreading his toxicity at will. Not that watching him accuse everyone and his dog of being moles when he's the one spreading the Approved Narrative isn't funny--the first ten thousand times. But when his targets aren't even allowed to point out the obvious, which is that he's the shill, well, like, bye.

 http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?567788-Whitney-Webb-EXPOSES-Kamala-Trump-Israel-And-More!-(Interview)&highlight=trump+blackrock Trump adopted Blackrock CEO Larry Fink's economic plan for COVID which was written before COVID. And, contrary to your false claims, Trump followed Fauci's advice on COVID to the letter including downplaying COVID when Fauci downplayed COVID and then locking down the country when Fauci said lock down the country and ultimately clearing the regulatory obstacles for rapid (untested) vaccine production through Operation Warp Speed. Kamala Harris is also taking orders from Blackrock. Yes there are some distinct differences like the war end Ukraine. I fully expect Trump to end that. But Trump is an empty suit that can be whatever people need him to be at the moment. He endorsed Hillary Clinton in 2008. The Clintons talked to him about getting more invovled in Republican politics just weeks before he ran for president. The good thing about Trump isn't Trump. It's the aspirations of the people who support Trump. Some of them are good (RFK Jr., Tulsi Gabbard), some are not so good (Lindsey Graham, Tom Cotton). I can't think of anyone who supports Kamala Harris that I respect. (Bidens, Obamas, Bushes, Cheneys).

My personal story (pt2)

by CaptUSA on 02-24-2016 at 09:57 AM
Among my many interests was electricity and I decided that I wanted to change how the industry operates. Understanding the free market as I did, I was pissed that the coolest discovery in the history of mankind was being regulated to death by the government. I wanted to change that.

I found a job as a part-time temporary meter reader. My girlfriend went ballistic that I was quitting a salaried job for a part-time temp job, but I had complete confidence in what I was doing. Meter

My personal story (pt 1)

by CaptUSA on 02-24-2016 at 09:55 AM
I’ve never used this blog feature before, but since people have wondered (and asked) about my personal story, I figured it was best to do it in here rather than the forums.

It may come across as anecdotal, but I assure you that this same type free market story is working itself out all over the country and the globe. Even in the face or increasing government interference.

I was born in Western PA the third of four boys. When I was still a baby, the second child died
