You're looking at the "half empty" part of the glass. Here's the "half full" part. George Kent, a deputy assistant secretary of state, testified Tuesday that he worried that Hunter Biden’s position at the firm Burisma Holdings would complicate efforts by U.S. diplomats to convey to Ukrainian officials the importance of avoiding conflicts of interest, said the people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of confidentiality rules surrounding the deposition. Kent said he had concerns that Ukrainian officials would view Hunter Biden as a conduit for currying influence with his father, said the people. But when Kent raised the issue with Biden’s office, he was told the then-vice president didn’t have the “bandwidth” to deal with the issue involving his son as his other son, Beau, was battling cancer, said the people familiar with his testimony. .. The testimony by Kent offers a reminder that as Democrats probe President Trump’s alleged actions in pressuring Ukraine to dig up compromising information on Biden, the impeachment inquiry also threatens to keep alive questions about the former vice president’s handling of his son’s foreign work at a precarious moment for his 2020 presidential campaign. Kent, who also testified about how Trump’s associates raised unfounded allegations about the former ambassador to Ukraine, is the first known example of a career diplomat who raised concerns internally in the Obama administration about Hunter Biden’s board position. The Washington Post has previously reported that there had been discussions among Biden’s advisers about whether his son’s Ukraine work would be perceived as a conflict of interest, and that one former adviser had been concerned enough to mention it to Biden, though the conversation was brief.

Precedent for what? Using the likeness of a living person to decorate a product package? Sure. Using the likeness of a dead president? Sure. Using the likeness of a living, sitting president? Not that I know of, with or without permission. Before it was always considered an attempt to imply an endorsement. Biden being a president who is purely a joke, and whose endorsement means nothing to anyone, surely is unprecedented.

As a legal term, "personality" is basically an old fashioned way to say "personhood" . It's a separate thing from "likeness".

Good Lord, it just gets worse from there. Clayton, you need to face reality. Providing theological clarity is not and has never been among your strong suits. Jews don't believe the Messiah appeared on earth, and don't believe Emmanuel will appear until the time is nigh. No Second Coming. Once will do. They believe that if Jesus of Nazareth did exist, he was a false prophet. Islam believes he did exist and was a real prophet, but no more than that. They don't reject the name. They reject the notion that the Messiah showed up way early and did a few years of educational outreach. They don't name their children Heyzeus for the same reason you didn't name your oldest boy Mohammed. But I don't see you denying that the name Mohammed exists. Getting caught up in "Holy Name" dogma is belaboring the point the same way Rome belabors everything with iconography, and with the incessant caste system of "Sainthood". The Jews don't believe God did us the huge favor of sending Emmanuel to us on a hit-and-run teaching mission. So, if that never happened, all this fuss over Jesus of Nazareth is as silly as the notion that Mohammed was a prophet may seem to you.

No better way to spark a massive anti-war movement than to start conscripting people for combat. Lefties in particular become MUCH MORE anti-war when they’re afraid their own asses are gonna be rounded up and sent into harm’s way.

The bar is pretty low on what people would vote for. So, yes. Lots of people will vote for a politician who enacts policies that they don't think will affect them. That's pretty much a given right? Bombs away; they're not landing on my house! Indebt our grandchildren; my kids'll be fine.

And....that's why celebrities hire security to manhandle and push away idiots who think the have a right to rush up on them just because they are famous. A random guy with no press pass shouldn't be going up to women he doesn't know putting a camera in their face. But hey, maybe Anti Federalist thinks Rand Paul was "taking things from white people" in this clip. Seriously, this is bvllshyt. You don't get to be an arsehole just because you see somebody famous. I mean...you do. But you shouldn't bitch about it, and arsehole Matt Walsh shouldn't bitch about it just because the famous person calls you out on Twitter. You can do that. You can do whatever you like. I just think that's stupid.

They just need enough polls to make it plausible... As long as there are some polls out there that say it's plausible for Biden to win, that'll be enough to pull off another steal. Because, just like last time, it'll give the corporate press and the intelligentsia elite cover while they're telling everyone to "move on" and "don't question" the results. I think the Trump camp really needs to prepare themselves for another "loss".

I don't know. Is there a "Matt Walsh is being phony" section? Cause this is bvllshyt. It's one thing to want "more attention." It's another thing to want to make sure everybody is safe. We "whined and complained" about Ron Paul not getting attention in 2008. Then when Rand Paul was actually making waves, and a "counter protester" got to close, a Rand Paul supporter threw the counter protester to the ground and put his foot on the counter protester's neck. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Showing up at a press conference and asking someone a tough question? That's fine. Finding out where somebody's hotel is so that you can practice ambush journalism, not on the person who did the fragrant foul, but her team mates? Seriously?

My personal story (pt2)

by CaptUSA on 02-24-2016 at 09:57 AM
Among my many interests was electricity and I decided that I wanted to change how the industry operates. Understanding the free market as I did, I was pissed that the coolest discovery in the history of mankind was being regulated to death by the government. I wanted to change that.

I found a job as a part-time temporary meter reader. My girlfriend went ballistic that I was quitting a salaried job for a part-time temp job, but I had complete confidence in what I was doing. Meter

My personal story (pt 1)

by CaptUSA on 02-24-2016 at 09:55 AM
I’ve never used this blog feature before, but since people have wondered (and asked) about my personal story, I figured it was best to do it in here rather than the forums.

It may come across as anecdotal, but I assure you that this same type free market story is working itself out all over the country and the globe. Even in the face or increasing government interference.

I was born in Western PA the third of four boys. When I was still a baby, the second child died
