I think we are all to blame. The history of America is the ultimate human tragedy, and not because of <URP> <DERP> slavery. Once free of the king's immediate clutches, we should have become as wild and ravening predators, ready to bring to death anyone from "government" who dared so much as suggest some measure that would in even the least measure tiptoe upon the rights of free men. But we had everything against us. Our general Christian/Jewish upbringings and the mannerliness of those cultures pretty well guaRONteed we'd no become the monsters we should have been in response to the least measure of "governmental" trespass. Then there was the thousands of years of breeding to the king's halter. One does not escape that so easily. Then there are the deep and manifold flaws of the Constitution which we have failed to correct. Each successive failure built upon all those of the past, and now here we stand. Some of it could perhaps not have been helped, given the overall circumstances, but I think most of it could have. We chose.

Um, didn't he essentially run for federal office on the promise that he would try to make it unnecessary? Nothing like announcing, sorry, I'm useless. Why can't a state senator do it? Because they're less famous than federal senators? After the federal government gets both fists and at least one foot stuck in the Tar Baby named Russia, what happens to your never ever? They're not going to have any Marines to spare. They're going to need more than 87,000 IRS agents.

Yeah....that wasn't my point. My point is that it's not that conservatives haven't embraced the "T" yet. Trump embraced Kaitlan Jenner about the same time he brought the rainbow flag into the RNC. Conservatives have a problem with the "P" (although they might go with "M" now). The current backlash is literally about protecting women and children. The bathroom fight wouldn't even be a fight if it were transwomen that actually looked like women going in there. (Don't ask don't tell). But when you've got full bearded dudes in heals going in? Yeah that's a problem. There are a few pushing against "gender affirming care" for adults, but most states just want to stop that for kids. Edit: And yeah I get it. There are those on the left who will keep pushing for MAP rights. I'm just addressing what's triggered the backlash from consevatives.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_American_Man/Boy_Love_Association ILGA controversy Main article: International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association § Controversy and loss of UN consultative status In 1993, the International Lesbian and Gay Association (ILGA) achieved United Nations consultative status. NAMBLA's membership in ILGA drew heavy criticism and caused the suspension of ILGA. Many gay organizations called for the ILGA to dissolve ties with NAMBLA. Republican Senator Jesse Helms proposed a bill to withhold US$119 million in UN contributions until U.S. President Bill Clinton could certify that no UN agency grants any official status to organizations that condoned pedophilia. The bill was unanimously approved by Congress and signed into law by Clinton in April 1994. In 1994, ILGA expelled NAMBLA— the first U.S.-based organization to be a member—as well as Vereniging Martijn and Project Truth, because they were judged to be "groups whose predominant aim is to support or promote pedophilia". Although ILGA removed NAMBLA, the UN reversed its decision to grant ILGA special consultative status. Repeated attempts by ILGA to regain special status with the UN succeeded in 2006.

Let us assume this is not only true, but that we are working with a reasonable definition of "selfishness". So what? Here you are parroting one of the left's most repulsive talking points - their endlessly idiotic tirade in condemnation of "selfishness". Surely you can do better than this... if you wanted to. Meaningless, substance-free assertion. What are you peddling here? Oh do go on while I break out my one-inch violin.

Your argument founds on assumptions false, and ignores the conflict between the granted power and the inherent right. Where a granted power conflicts with an inherent right, there is no argument to be made in favor of the power over the right. The very notion of holding a granted power above an inherent right tap-dances merrily past absurdity. My rights trump any "governmental" power. Period. My rights, and yours, are inherent to what we are. "Government" powers are synthetic and perforce arbitrary. It should require no hint of rocket surgery to dope out which of the two stands supreme. Proponents of the opposite view can rant and fart and vomit their idiocies contrary to glaring truth until the cows come home - to put a synthetic, and frankly a bullshit power above the inborn rights of a man, any man, is raving insanity. It is stupidity so wild as to defy words.

Stopping omnibus spending bills alone is a pretty damned tempting straw, considering budgets during Pelosi were, like, vote for every penny of pork or get accused of throwing little orphans out in the snow. Yeah, that would be a major improvement.

It's not about the letters. It's about actions. People don't want to see children screwed up. There are transgenders who have come out against kids transitioning and there are drag queens who have come out against drag queen story hour. People forget that up until 1994, there was a "P" with the rainbow coalition and it didn't stand for "pride." In 1994 Clinton pressured pride groups to dump NAMBLA. Had that not happened there probably never would have been pride month in the first place. Please see:

Bizarre but not unprecedented. Hitler had his night of the long knives. Stalin had his purges. Mao had his cultural revolution. Biden has already is prosecuting black socialists who dare speak against funding the Ukraine war as "Russian agents." This story is odd because antifa/BLM was all about "F the police" and...well...this group is attacking expansion of the police. So from that perspective it makes no sense. Then again...if the dems expand gun laws someone has to be ready to go door to door.

Actually I'm glad you posted a separate thread. Information like this if vital not just because it's the most effective way to push back but also because this reiterates the fact that many people who are against child transitioning are motivated by concern as opposed to hate. If an 18 year old wants to jump off a cruise ship into shark infested waters that's on him. If a 13 year old wants to do that...well at the very least the rest of the people on the ship shouldn't help and applaud.

So he was dared to do it and did it. That's why they like having 18 year olds to sign up for the military. That's also why people under 18 shouldn't be making the decision to whack off body parts just because they feel like it.

The British Health Services shut down Tavistock's gender clinic. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-62335665 Anti Federalist, thanks for posting this. I'm adding it to the "Abused, confused and misused transgenders" thread.

My personal story (pt2)

by CaptUSA on 02-24-2016 at 09:57 AM
Among my many interests was electricity and I decided that I wanted to change how the industry operates. Understanding the free market as I did, I was pissed that the coolest discovery in the history of mankind was being regulated to death by the government. I wanted to change that.

I found a job as a part-time temporary meter reader. My girlfriend went ballistic that I was quitting a salaried job for a part-time temp job, but I had complete confidence in what I was doing. Meter

My personal story (pt 1)

by CaptUSA on 02-24-2016 at 09:55 AM
I’ve never used this blog feature before, but since people have wondered (and asked) about my personal story, I figured it was best to do it in here rather than the forums.

It may come across as anecdotal, but I assure you that this same type free market story is working itself out all over the country and the globe. Even in the face or increasing government interference.

I was born in Western PA the third of four boys. When I was still a baby, the second child died
