Isn't it just sloughing off your built up electrons by removing the barrier between you and the ground? I bet that'd work anywhere you could be barefoot.

Oh, boo hoo- an Iranian said something bad about us- this means war!!! If every country decided Trump's remarks were an act of war, we'd be surrounded. We have no business meddling with Iran & the assassination was indeed an act of war.

Obama actually took Iran off the burner with the Iranian Deal- one of the few good things he did- Trump put them back on, so yes- he is responsible for the newest fiasco.

Democrats Ignore Trumpís Real Violations By Ron Paul Ron Paul Institute February 11, 2020 This week the latest Democratic Party attempt to remove President Trump from office Ė impeachment over Trump allegedly holding up an arms deal to Ukraine Ė flopped. Just like ďRussiagateĒ and the Mueller investigation, and a number of other attempts to overturn the 2016 election. Weíve had three years of accusations and investigations with untold millions of dollars spent in a never-ending Democratic Party effort to remove President Trump from office.

You like how they reported 60 % and left it there for a day with Buttleg on top leading by 5% or so? Next day 70 % and Bernie basically made up all the difference. Next day 90 % again Bernie gets the difference with less than 1% difference. Currently 99% reporting and there is .1% difference. Three days with Busttanut seen leading when he really wasn't.

Ah... OK... utterly lost on me. It didn't read at all as sarcasm, but then again I'm not the sharpest bulb in the drawer, so don't go by me. Meh... he says lots of things that leave me wondering, which contributes to my inability to come to trust him. I still say leave him to a second term. It could be no worse than anything Biden, Sanders, Warren, or the Butt man would try to foist on us. Either way we would be faced with a very unpleasant decision, much as are the people of VA this very day, so I say give him a whirl. I will be the first to toss Trump under the bus if he makes a clear move against our rights. Yeah, I know about the bumpstock thing, but it was a policy change and we do not quite know what he may have purchased with it, so I'm not yet ready to condemn him. He has demonstrated an ability, a will, and a habit of playing a longer game than any of his predecessors, at least back to Reagan, so this could all be part of the game. Only time will tell. Meanwhile, I choose to focus on the current mood of fed-upness because THAT is where the most opportunities lay. Placing our hopes in yet another personality is precisely how we have gone from the American political circumstance of 1789, to now. It is our most unfortunate proclivity to want to pimp OUR responsibilities onto the shoulders of others that got us here and it is only the repression of that worst of habits that presents even the slimmest hope of extrication from under the tyrant's boot-heel. In a sense Trump may have been the worst thing because the recoveries stand to not only fill our pockets with token increases in our fortunes, but to put us right back to sleep under the false sense that all is well, in good hands, and that we can now relax... yet another indicator of the deep corruption with which most Americans choose over the status of free individuals.

Is this really necessary? It seems you are attributing opinions, the evidence for which is not clear to me, and then calling him a fascist. What is the purpose here? Venting? Come now, are you not better than this? You accuse Trump of being a socialist, yet offer no support for the assertion. What if you're wrong on that point? Do you make the claim because Trump has not delivered to the nation that which you consider the ideal solutions? That is not a rhetorical question. Consider that with which Trump must contend: hostile Democrats AND Republicans. Do you not recall how utterly opposed to Trump was the RNC, as well as a great plurality of (R) congresscritters? Given the situation, were Trump to set forth a vision of America that was FAR closer to actual freedom, how far do you think he'd get? Nowhere, and possibly assassinated for real. Consider the razor-sharp edge on which he is treading. It seems a not-so-small miracle that is gets anything done, much less the substantive progress he has made along several fronts.

For those in "government" who violate their oaths of good faith to the public trust, absolutely. I have ZERO problem with hanging government criminals. But to be clear, anyone determined to have falsely accused a government agent of such a crime would also face that fate. ALL men should be held to the same standards where governance is concerned and I would not want any faithful public servant to be falsely convicted and possibly executed because some shithead didn't like how they were treated at the DMV. We either get serious about running a clean game, or at least be honest about it, admit our hopeless corruption, and settle with the truth that we are deserving of the chains Theye place about our ankles and wrists. Political systems don't clean and maintain themselves as if by magic. People of stridently determined intolerance of corruption and crime are the only means of keeping the infection at bay.

Let us hope that proves the case. While I am opposed to the death penalty on principle, I make an exception for those in "government". The consequences for violating the public trust should be so horrific that only those most genuinely and deeply dedicated to the notion of public service would have the nerve to step up. The rest, the scoundrels, would be most likely to confine themselves to becoming petty pickpockets, rather than the grand variety which we normally call Congressmen and so forth. I believe strongly enough in this idea that if the only way to make it happen were for me to become an executioner, I would pay that price to see the land cleansed of the filth and disease that has taken America by its soul. If one thinks on it just a smidge, our political problems are VERY easy to solve. We could have an honest and high-flying America in a matter of months, were I king for a year. Ah, to sleep perchance to dream... or as my Michelle used to quip, "to dream, perchance to cream..."

My personal story (pt2)

by CaptUSA on 02-24-2016 at 09:57 AM
Among my many interests was electricity and I decided that I wanted to change how the industry operates. Understanding the free market as I did, I was pissed that the coolest discovery in the history of mankind was being regulated to death by the government. I wanted to change that.

I found a job as a part-time temporary meter reader. My girlfriend went ballistic that I was quitting a salaried job for a part-time temp job, but I had complete confidence in what I was doing. Meter

My personal story (pt 1)

by CaptUSA on 02-24-2016 at 09:55 AM
Iíve never used this blog feature before, but since people have wondered (and asked) about my personal story, I figured it was best to do it in here rather than the forums.

It may come across as anecdotal, but I assure you that this same type free market story is working itself out all over the country and the globe. Even in the face or increasing government interference.

I was born in Western PA the third of four boys. When I was still a baby, the second child died
