It's funny that Biden banned the transwoman in the 1st pic in the 2nd row from coming back to the Whitehouse because she bared her breasts and what was supposed to be a "family friendly" pride event, yet Dems get upset at Republican governors who pass laws saying kids can't be at transgender strip shows.

Precisely! Which is why if mass shooters use AR15 if they want to be on the news even though more actual mass shootings are done by handguns. Look at all of the MSM pundits trying to make hay over Trump being shot with an AR15 when an AR with a red dot is a pretty crappy long range sniper rifle. (Possibly why the shooter missed).

Yep. That's always the case. If you want on the news, the press needs to see the story as something that will resonate with their viewers/readers AND/OR you need to appeal to some political agenda.

That's exactly the point that I was making! Nobody (as in nobody on the political stage or of note) case because there is no political points to be made off of this death. You simply said "if the races were reversed." I gave you a case where the races were reversed. Point, set, match. Just like the officer and the camera footage in the Philando Castile case, only that officer was acquitted and Noor was convicted. You're proving my point.

I think she'd be great for Sec. of State or UN Ambassador. But I have very little confidence in Trump's ability to select the right people for the right positions. (I also don't think they're done trying to prevent him from taking office)

It's a calculation. The old school GOP doesn't think Kamala will be the nominee and the alternatives are even worse for them. They know, though, that if she's an incumbent president, it makes it VERY difficult for them to ditch her at the convention. They'll try everything they can to ensure she tops the ticket!

Gun tuber Brandon Herrera recreated the shot of Trump's ear as well as the secret service shooting the shooter. The only problem is, in his recreation the shooter's head exploded. But I've seen this picture of the shooter's still in tact head.

Have you heard Joe Biden, Kamala Harris or anyone else talk about this? As far as the Australian woman that got shot, that officer never would have been convicted in the first place by the jury that acquitted the copy who shot Philando Castile, a lawful gun owner who told the officer he had a gun permit. In both cases the officer relied on the "I was in fear of my life" defense. IN the Aussie woman's case the cop heard what sounded like gun fire and then blindly pumped out a round. Not a good shot, but neither is shooting someone who told you he had a gun permit and was reaching for his wallet after you asked for his ID. That cops partner testified that he wasn't concerned. But nice attempt at trying to sound relevant. Edit: Did you even understand the story you posted? Noor was convicted of third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter in the death of Justine Ruszczyk Damond, a dual U.S.-Australian citizen who called 911 to report a possible sexual assault behind her home. He was sentenced to 12 1/2 years on the murder count but was not sentenced for manslaughter. The ruling means his murder conviction is overturned and the case will now go back to the district court, where he will be sentenced on the manslaughter count. He has already served more than 28 months of his murder sentence. If sentenced to the presumptive four years for manslaughter, he could be eligible for supervised release around the end of this year. Following the link on the appeal of the initial conviction.

Just a trial balloon. There's a month before the DNC Convention. If they can show that her appeal doesn't hurt at-risk members of Congress, they may let her stay in to lose. Expect her public appearances to be very sparse, and they'll have her stick to the teleprompters. Press conferences are out, but they may have a pre-staged, choreographed interview or two with a CIA asset, ahem, journalist. But if, as I suspect, they find her polling low and still hurting down-ballot, the draft Michelle movement will take off. They need plausibility to steal elections.

These people are very very stupid. But not when it comes to gaining and leveraging power - then they become savants. It's the only thing they're good at and they are VERY good at it. And yes, this is what I've been saying for months.

Anti Federalist has the thread "If George Floyd was white" based on what Rush Limbaugh brought up on the breakfast club. But it's not just black versus white. (An AF and I have talked about this). Only the questionable shootings get mass protests / riots only when certain people feel they can get mileage out of it. There are roughly the same number of black people killed by police every year, but only certain times does it become a "thing." https://lawandcrime.com/high-profile/did-not-act-as-trained-deputy-fired-faces-murder-charges-after-woman-who-called-911-to-report-prowler-is-shot-in-the-head-at-home/ Did not act as trained’: Deputy fired, faces murder charges after woman who called 911 to report ‘prowler’ is ‘shot in the head’ at home MATT NAHAMJul 18th, 2024, 1:06 pm 20 comments

This is just hilarious... "We don't know what's happening..." GTFO. if they're that stupid, they should all go home and drink gasoline. Hell, they should do that even if they're not that stupid. That aside, this was predictable, particularly in the wake of the "debate", after which Biden's fate was sealed regarding his chances of winning and, more importantly, the public's perception that a win was now out of the question. They now usher Biden out the back door and Harris becomes the heir apparent. But as was pointed out, the convention could reveal challenges. So now imagine Michele Obama with his big black missile struts in to everyone's shock and surprise, and perhaps eventual cheers. This is precisely the sort of lifeline the Democrats could use to explain their unanticipated victory in November, lending them the pretext of plausible justification to deny any election fraud had occurred. "The Republicans are once again forwarding these ridiculous conspiracy theories as in 2020, trying to deflect attention from the truth of their failed platform and policies by saying Democrats stole the election. The truth is that Michele Obama was the far more appealing choice for the vast majority of Americans, which is why she won by a 40 point margin. It's time for the Republicans to get over it and just admit that we're better than they are."... or some such vomitus. I'm thinking that such an approach may be their only hope, not only of holding on to power, but of avoiding long prison terms and possible executions (unlikely) in the event Trump actually acts on his promise to drin the swamp. If appearances are to be trusted even in the least measure, there are a lot of lefty's soiling themselves at the prospect of a Trump victory.

The DNC needs to be brought up on racketeering charges. This will be the third cycle in a row where they selected a candidate instead of allowing their primary voters decide. 2016, they cheated Bernie 2020, they orchestrated a multi-tiered dropout for Biden 2024, they rigged the primary to keep out RFK so they could remove Biden and select their puppet Trump was supposed to be imprisoned or dead, though. That changes who their puppet might be.

My personal story (pt2)

by CaptUSA on 02-24-2016 at 09:57 AM
Among my many interests was electricity and I decided that I wanted to change how the industry operates. Understanding the free market as I did, I was pissed that the coolest discovery in the history of mankind was being regulated to death by the government. I wanted to change that.

I found a job as a part-time temporary meter reader. My girlfriend went ballistic that I was quitting a salaried job for a part-time temp job, but I had complete confidence in what I was doing. Meter

My personal story (pt 1)

by CaptUSA on 02-24-2016 at 09:55 AM
I’ve never used this blog feature before, but since people have wondered (and asked) about my personal story, I figured it was best to do it in here rather than the forums.

It may come across as anecdotal, but I assure you that this same type free market story is working itself out all over the country and the globe. Even in the face or increasing government interference.

I was born in Western PA the third of four boys. When I was still a baby, the second child died
