What’s Not Being Said About the Venezuela Oil War So far much of the discussion over what is driving the bizarre Trump Administration intervention into Venezuela centers around the comments of National Security Adviser John Bolton to claim it’s about oil. In a previous analysis we looked at the prospects of the huge Chavez Basin, formerly the Orinoco Basin, said to hold the world’s largest reserves of oil by some definitions. Now it’s becoming clearer that this de facto war is about far more than control of the heavy oil of the Chavez Basin in Venezuela. First it’s important to look at which oil companies were already staking various claims on the region’s oil prospects. Within Venezuela, Chinese oil companies led by China National Petroleum Corporation, and the Chinese government have been playing a major role since the Chavez era. In fact the role has become so great Venezuela’s government owes China some $61 billion. Because of the financial problems of the Maduro government, China has been taking debt repayment in form of oil. Since 2010 the Russian state oil company, Rosneft has been involved in joint projects with the Venezuela state PDVSA, mainly in the Orinoco/Chavez Belt. Some years ago Rosneft extended some $6 billion in loans to Venezuela to be also repaid in oil. A recent statement from Rosneft says that $2.3 billion is due by end of this year. Rosneft has participation in five oil projects and 100 percent in a gas project. In addition to CNPC and Rosneft, France’s Total SA, Norway’s Equinor, and US Chevron all hold minority stakes in Venezuela projects, with most vowing to stay despite the political crisis. That raises the question what they know beyond the well-documented heavy oil of Venezuela. The real prize? The real prize that these powerful international oil giants are eyeing likely lies well to the east of the Orinoco heavy oil fields where they now operate. The real prize is the ultimate control over one of the best-kept secrets in the oil industry, the huge oil reserves of a disputed area straddling Venezuela, Guyana and Brazil. The region is called Guayana Esequiba. Some geologists believe the Esequiba region and its offshore could contain the world’s largest reserves of oil, oil of far better quality that the heavy Orinoco crude of Venezuela. The problem is that owing to the decades-long dispute between Venezuela and Guyana the true extent of that oil is not yet known.

Hating Neocons Is Becoming Mainstream Again, And It Is Excellent American Conservative has published an article titled “Why Are These Professional War Peddlers Still Around?“, an excerpt from a book by Fox’s Tucker Carlson, which documents neoconservative thought leaders Max Boot and Bill Kristol’s consistent track record of supporting spectacularly awful US war policies. Carlson goes over the many, many acts of military interventionism which have been pushed for by these two legendary failmeisters, documents what they predicted would happen as the result of that interventionism (freedom, democracy and prosperity) and what actually ended up happening instead (needless death, terrorism and chaos), and marvels at how they both somehow remain in positions of high esteem with high-profile, high-paying jobs. The article was shared today on Twitter by Democratic Congressman Ro Khanna, who commented that Carlson “offers a devastating critique interventionism and shows how much of the foreign policy establishment has failed the American people. There is an emerging, left right coalition of common sense for a foreign policy of restraint.” Khanna has received a predictable amount of backlash from the left for this tweet, as does anyone who mentions the possibility of cross-ideological coalitions against US warmongering. The only cross-ideological convergence that many leftists find palatable in compensating for their relatively weak numbers is with the neoliberal, neoconservative corporate “center”, so-called only because the plutocratic class which benefits from the current Orwellian status quo has been able to buy up narrative control to force their agendas to become the mainstream consensus. The trouble with this, of course, is that that corporate CIA/CNN “center” never opposes US warmongering in any meaningful way. The left (the real left, not the “We call everyone we’re cluster bombing by their preferred gender pronouns” MSNBC faux-left) opposes US warmongering, and in some cases so too does the populist right which has uplifted Tucker Carlson to such prominence.

Remember the dreaded “pink slime” video from 2012? There it was, some indescribable pink paste extruding through a machine – was it strawberry ice cream? A new type of Play-Doh? Nope, pink slime was basically the meat industry equivalent of the trimmings or scraps that are normally swept up and tossed in the trash, or into pet food – a collection of bits collected from the meat production process that is transformed into a filmy, translucent substance using a centrifuge, which is then treated with ammonia hydroxide gas and added to commercial ground beef, usually in fast food or school cafeterias. The brief video caused mass revulsion from U.S. consumers and a PR disaster for the meat industry: celebrity chefs were up in arms, McDonald’s dropped the filler from its products, and an Iowa state senator even accused viewers of being duped by a vegetarian plot to put meat industry employees out of work. But wait – what if we were wrong? What if that wasn’t actually pink slime, or even the preferred industrial euphemism, “lean finely-textured beef” (LTFI)?

5 insane provisions in the amnesty omnibus bill Before getting into the details of this crazy omnibus bill, it’s important to recognize that we don’t understand all the details. The worst provisions are written in vague language ensconced in an 1,169-page bill, which has already been posted online in two different versions (the first was 10 pages shorter). That is exactly why Democrats are salivating to vote on this within a few hours of passage, which is exactly why Trump has a responsibility to oppose it immediately and demand at least a short-term clean continuing resolution so that he can digest the consequences of this bill. If he cannot make that simple demand, which would not even trigger a phony shutdown, then his presidency is worthless. The process is indefensible: It is immoral, from any ideological perspective, to vote on an 1,169-page omnibus with new provisions on immigration amid a border crisis. We are already four and a half months into this fiscal year and have been operating on stopgap bills. There is no rush to vote on something like this, which will fund seven departments for the remainder of the year, within a few hours when we should have another stopgap bill while we debate, and even discover, the contents of this long-term bill that makes important statutory changes. The only reason one would pursue this process is to hide things from the American people. Here are the immediate issues to flag: 1) Less of a wall than even what Democrats already agreed to: Trump originally demanded $25 billion for the wall. Then he negotiated himself down to $5.6 billion. Democrats balked and only agreed to $1.6 billion. This bill calls it a day at $1.375 billion, enough to construct 55 miles. But it’s worse than that. This bill limits the president’s ability to construct “barriers” to just the Rio Grande Valley sector and only bollard fencing, not concrete walls of any kind. There’s no ability to adapt. Furthermore, section 231 prohibits construction even within the RGV in five locations that are either federal or state lands. Remember, the challenge with building a wall in Texas is that, unlike in other states, the feds need to navigate issues with private lands. The first place you’d construct fencing is on public lands, which are now prohibited. The national parks along the border have gotten so bad that park rangers are scared to travel alone in them.

Melania Trump is the first Catholic first lady since Jackie Kennedy The pontiff blessed first lady Melania Trump's rosary at the Vatican After shaking his hand and exchanging pleasantries, the first lady held her rosary beads in her left hand, extended to Pope Francis, who then blessed them, bending to make the sign of the cross, placing his right hand over hers. The entire exchange took less than 10 seconds, but for a Catholic, a blessing of beads by the Pope is a pinnacle of holy ceremony. That Trump even had rosary beads was news -- practicing Catholics often use the beads for prayers, moving fingers along each bead to keep track of how many times each is said, and repeated. Although Trump was raised in Slovenia, a country whose religious population is predominantly Catholic, she married Donald Trump

US Military Aircraft to Deliver Aid to Venezuela’s Border Aid is being rushed to Colombian border city The Trump Administration has announced Friday, along with a new round of sanctions against members of the Venezuelan government, that they are dispatching US military aircraft carrying aid to the Venezuelan border. The aid can’t get into Venezuela directly, as it is being sent to opposition leader Juan Guaido and with an eye specifically toward endorsing him as the new ruler of Venezuela. Instead, the aid will be sent to Cucuta, on the Colombian side of the border. It is unclear what the plans are for getting the aid across the border, and it is expected to arrive on Saturday. If anything, it is likely to raise tensions along the border, where the US has considered sending a large number of ground troops.

A wall is not the best solution to restoring US sovereignty, but it's a small part of it. The state of emergency is political theater, now Donnell will try to claim that the border is really secure this time, and millions of invaders who made it here deserve a "Bill of Love" amnesty because he has a big heart, like Jeb! All the while refusing to obey his oath of office and deport the illegal aliens, but instead providing sanctuary until he can get an amnesty "Bill of Love" passed in Congress. Is he trying to remove gov "freebies" for his Dreamy Students? No, but he added farm subsidies to the many other socialist programs that he provides for them.

Hate-Fest in Warsaw Warsaw, Poland is not a fun place to visit in darkest February, but that is where the US just staged an anti-Iranian jamboree of 60 client states that brought derision and scorn from Europeans and much of the Mideast. The point of this cynical exercise was to lay the diplomatic groundwork for an anti-Iranian coalition to act as a fig-leaf for an upcoming attack on Iran planned by President Donald Trump and his close ally, Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu. The real question is who is calling the shots in bleak Warsaw, Trump or Bibi Netanyahu? It seems to many that the Israeli tail is again wagging the American dog.

The border wall is entirely in the USA. The old Monument markers are usually on the Mexican side of the wall. The actual border is usually about 3 feet from the wall. Monument Marker at the Pacific Ocean, Tijuana Mexico.

Why does the Trump bill protect "Sponsors" from being deported? Because they're illegal aliens, or at best immigrants who have not yet become naturalized US citizens, thus eligible for deportation. Non US Citizens & Illegal Aliens shouldn't be allowed to sponsor anyone for US citizenship. Deport them so that they can sponsor someone for citizenship in their own country, if they like. Deport first, is US immigration law. Trump refuses to obey his oath of office to enforce the law, and "Protect the States Against Invasion" in accordance with the US Constitution, but he loves "catch & release" illegal aliens for the cheap labor and votes. Run of the mill Reconquista Republican/Democrat globalist, America Last president, like Obongo & dubya.

Trump Lies To Nation While Concealing Budget Bill That Encourages Child Trafficking For National Release | February 15, 2019 President Trump lied to the nation today by falsely claiming his administration stopped multiple illegal alien caravans, when in truth, he let them into the USA. Speaking for 40 minutes, he never mentioning he just signed the dastardly and secretive budget bill which incentivizes illegal immigration and child trafficking. Trump just signed into a law a bill that 99% of Americans know nothing about which contains Amnesty for millions of illegals, incentives for child trafficking, an expansion of Trump's deadly catch and release policies, less detention space for illegals, reductions of interior immigration law enforcement, new buildings and buses to bring more illegals into the US, raising of legal immigration levels, a measly 1.3 billion for border fences, and severe restrictions on where border barriers can be built. The vast majority of Trump's voters oppose the measures the immigration policies he just secretively signed into law.

FILE - Authorities stand near a damaged Home Depot truck after a motorist drove onto a bike path near the World Trade Center memorial, striking and killing several people in New York, Oct. 31, 2017. An Uzbek national is accused of using a rented truck to mow down pedestrians on a bike path Tuesday in New York City, killing at least eight and injuring 12, in what Police Commissioner James O'Neill called "the worst terror attack in New York City since Sept. 11, 2001." According to NYPD Deputy Commissioner of Intelligence and Counterterrorism John Miller, the suspect, Sayfullo Saipov, left handwritten notes pledging his support for the Islamic State group. It's not uncommon following mass-casualty events like the Tuesday attack in New York City that people become confused about whether the incidents amount to terrorism. The U.S. government has a strict legal definition of terrorism, which the FBI describes as an attack motivated by "political, religious, social, racial or environmental" beliefs. Due to Saipov's Islamic radicalization and his support for IS, authorities quickly labeled his attack as terrorism. After he used his truck to run over pedestrians, authorities say Saipov began shouting "Allahu Akbar," which means "God is great" in Arabic, and is commonly uttered by Islamic terrorists.

Aurora Shooter In Custody; 4 Cops, Civilians Hurt: Reports Aurora spokesperson Clayton Muhammad told NBC that the four officers were in stable condition. The facility remains on lockdown, with multiple civilians wounded, Muhammad said. He would not comment on the number or whether there were fatalities. "Our top priority is the safety and security of everyone involved now that the shooter has been neutralized," Muhammad said. "(The shooter) just went ballistic," John Probst, who works at Henry Pratt and was in the building at the time told ABC. " came running down; he was bleeding pretty bad." Probst said he recognized the shooter as a coworker. Probst said he was "rolling down the aisles" with "a pistol with a laser on it."
