You are correct. However, the right and libertarians never push those boundaries. Remember when Colorado tried to force a Christian baker to bake a cake for a gay wedding? Why didn't the right and libertarians try to force a Muslim baker to bake a bacon flavored cake for a Christian wedding? Let's see what the government and court system would have done then. The right and libertarians just whine about hypocrisy like it matters.

Diffusing the situation would essentially be talking people out of violence or violent thoughts. You don't do that by forcibly removing the President from office. Particularly a couple of weeks before he is set to leave said office.

Certainly ineffective at the very least. Rand always played too much footsy with the Establishment. He has now officially disrobed and assumed the position with it. The sad part is that the left will still hate him and CNN will not say anything nice. Maybe Neil Cavuto will give him a high five.

This is why Rand failed to take over his father's movement. This is why he is a failed presidential candidate. This is why he will forever be irrelevant in the grand scheme of American politics. A defender of liberty with no teeth. He is useful toady for the Establishment and he will remain that forever.

Perhaps prior to the election they did want to adhere to the Constitution. That is all very much in doubt at this point. The right and the MAGA crowd seem to be realizing that you don't bring arguments and a speech to a knife fight.

How is it ironic? The Constitution has been a dead letter since 1865. The great unwashed are finally waking up to that fact. I work with the general public and so many people have asked "what is the point of the Constitution if it can't guarantee free and fair elections?" The 2020 election was conducted unconstitutionally. Anything that happens afterwards regarding it cannot be judged on whether those actions are Constitutional or not. The court system has told us its a free-for-all now.

You can't abandon someone you never had loyalty to. Pence does not represent the Christian base a whole. He represents a dying breed of Christian conservative.

Mike Lee is a dinosaur and will quickly become irrelevant in the new Republican Party. He needs to be primaried. No Christian who supported Trump in 2016 and through his presidency will suddenly abandon him.

Trump is relatively populist on economics and relatively right wing on social issues. Grassroots Republicans are with Trump. So is the energy and enthusiasm. The GOP needs to adapt or it will die. Trump has done what Ron Paul unfortunately couldn't do. He has transformed the party. Georgia is squarely the fault of the old guard GOP.

In Pennsylvania, Act 77 of 2019 was passed by the legislature and signed into law by Governor Wolf. This law clearly violates the Pennsylvania Constitution. Don't take my word for it, take the legislature's word. To change mail-in voting in Pennsylvania, you have to amend the state Constitution. The legislature started this process (which requires multiple legislative sessions), but then gave up when they realized it would take too long. So they just passed a bill. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court dismissed Rep. Mike Kelly's lawsuit in November challenging the act because it was filed too late. There is no way on Earth the state court would have allowed the lawsuit to proceed prior to the election. They would have ruled that Kelly has no standing since no harm was done (yet). What now? Governor Wolf won't sign a bill overturning Act 77. The State Court won't overturn it. SCOTUS won't get involved. As a voter, what recourse do you have? Go to your state rep or Senator? What are they suppose to do? Back to square one. Voters are stuck with an unconstitutional law that can never be fixed unless presumably a Republican is governor. That's no guarantee in Pennsylvania. Even then, who is to say the State Court won't overturn the repeal to stop the "disenfranchisement of voters?" It's not just about fraud. The Secretary of State unconstitutionally changed election laws unilaterally. The legislature changed election laws unconstitutionally. The election itself has to be considered unconstitutional. Every single vote could be honest, but it doesn't matter. The process was unconstitutional. However, both State and federal Courts have determined that voters (and now the legislature) have literally no recourse. None. Zip. Also, it is Pennsylvania law that the Governor sends electors to the college. The election code is clear. The legislature is not empowered to do anything. Does Pennsylvania's election code violate the US Constitution? Perhaps, but that's for the US Supreme Court to determine and they have already signaled that they do not want to be involved.
