Exactly. Man does his best work when faced with adversity and risk. This future we've built is based on doing nothing but eliminating risk and adversity.

It takes me to The True Story of Thanksgiving. It was written about in chapter 6 of See, I Told You So, book two. It’s in a chapter titled, Dead White Guys or What the History Books Never Tell You. And this chapter, by the way, served as the foundation for the first book in the Rush Revere series, Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims. Where, in addition to the true story of Thanksgiving, we have the true story of the Pilgrims, who they were, where they came from, why they came, what happened when they got here, what they had to do to fix what went wrong when they got here, and what role the Pilgrims play in the overall founding of America. Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims, that’s the first book of five in the Rush Revere Time-Travel Adventures with Exceptional Americans series, which is written for young people. Why did the Pilgrims risk everything to get on a rickety little ship, compared to ships and boats today, it was a rickety little thing. They traveled the Atlantic Ocean to a place that was foreign and unknown, and they were on a boat that the last thing about it was pleasant or luxury. They had no idea what they were gonna encounter. But it had to be better than what they were fleeing. And what they were fleeing was religious persecution. Now, the real story of Thanksgiving, I wasn’t even taught the whole version. Like everybody, I was taught a sanitized, modern version that has elements of political correctness and multiculturalism. I was taught that Thanksgiving was about the Pilgrims being saved from starvation and deprivation by the loving, good-hearted, compassionate, and caring stewards of the earth, the Indians. The Pilgrims didn’t know how to grow corn, food, maize, popcorn, anything of the sort when they got here. The Indians showed them all of that. And Thanksgiving was the Pilgrims inviting the Indians over for dinner to thank the Indians for saving them, the Native Americans. Everybody’s been taught a version of that. But, ladies and gentlemen, it isn’t true. The story of the Pilgrims begins in the early part of seventeenth century. For those of you in Rio Linda, that would be the 1600s. The Church of England under King James was persecuting anybody and everybody who did not recognize its absolute civil and spiritual authority. The government was god, the government was the religion, the government was the church. And those who challenge that, those who believed strongly in freedom of worship, were hunted down, they were imprisoned and sometimes executed for their religious beliefs in 1600s England.

Denali (née McKinley) in Alaska is the tallest mountain in the US (over 20,000 feet). It is also the tallest in North America. Whitney is only the tallest mountain in the 48 contiguous states. It is the 24th tallest in North America (18 of the tallest 23 are all in Alaska or Canada; the remaining 5 are all in Mexico).

Google Decides You Can't Think for Yourself so Pledges to do your Thinking for You Eric Schmidt, the Executive Chairman of Google’s parent company Alphabet, says the company will “engineer” specific algorithms for RT and Sputnik to make their articles less prominent on the search engine’s news delivery services. “We are working on detecting and de-ranking those kinds of sites – it’s basically RT and Sputnik,” ... “we are trying to engineer the systems to prevent that .”... Schmidt claimed that he was “very strongly not in favor of censorship,” but said that he has faith in “ranking” without acknowledging if the system might serve the same function. ... DC lawyer accuses Conyers of serial harassment: WaPo reported: A high-profile Washington lawyer specializing in congressional ethics said Wednesday that Rep. John Conyers Jr. (D-Mich.) harassed and verbally abused her when she worked for him on Capitol Hill in the 1990s and that her repeated appeals for help to congressional leadership were ignored. “There was nothing I could do to stop it,” Melanie Sloan said in an interview. “Not going to leadership, not going to my boss, not going to a women’s group, not going to a reporter. I was dismissed and told I must be mentally unstable. ... Sloan said that Conyers routinely yelled at and berated her, often criticizing her appearance. On one occasion, she said, he summoned her to his Rayburn Building office, where she found him in his underwear. ...

Huffington Post reported: The first woman ... said Franken groped her when they posed for a photo after a June 25, 2007, event hosted by the Minnesota Women’s Political Caucusin Minneapolis. The second woman told HuffPost that Franken cupped her butt with his hand at a 2008 Democratic fundraiser in Minneapolis, then suggested the two visit the bathroom together. ... “My immediate reaction was disgust, ... I was excited to be there and to meet him. And so to have that happen really deflated me. It felt like: ‘Is this really the person who is going to be in a position of power to represent our community?’” ... The first woman wanted to tell her story because Franken is “a serial groper,” ... “people are saying that this is a right-wing conspiracy,” she said. “It’s not. I’m a liberal person. … I voted for him after this happened.”

Derp, I accidentally put this on my own Visitor Message. I didn't even know you could send yourself a visitor message. I suppose anything's possible. I've sent myself PMs before when I was trying to send one to someone else. I think I'm going to send ya a PM. Something funny (odd with a ha) happened and I'm dying to tell someone.

I'm going to test another banana in the pool today. I was wondering if the first one floated because of the potassium so I googled it and, guess what? I think I'm on to something.

I feel like Newton sitting under an apple tree discovering gravity - except with bananas and floating in a pool.

Why does potassium float In water?

Potassium floats in water because it is lighter than water.

When we say this, it means that the density of potassium is less than that of water.

BTW, I think I finally decided on a career. I could maybe do my own science show for youtube. Mr Animal thinks I should do a cooking show because he thinks it's funny to watch me cook but cooking's boring. I'd much rather do a science show and start with stuff that floats.
