I have a feeling that the fact it's only being covered by a few local outlets, half of which are Fox stations, and otherwise no one knows but Reddit, kind of confirms my theory that the devil's minions decided they were bragging too much when they put those up. They may be arrogant, but they don't actually want us forewarned and forearmed. Besides, who else could do it and get away "undetected"?

At the time, British soldiers (the “legitimate” authorities) were armed with the Brown Bess, a notoriously inaccurate smooth bored musket. American militiamen, on the other hand, were usually armed with what were known as Kentucky rifles, which featured tight fitting musket balls fired through long, rifled barrels, providing exceptional accuracy at much greater ranges. American civilians were armed with bleeding edge military technology of the time, and it was precisely these kinds of arms that the 2nd Amendment was written to keep in private hands. The intent was to ensure that armed authorities, which today would include law enforcement at all levels as well as the military, would always be outgunned by the private population, to whatever degree such a provision could make it so. It's a wedge issue by design (which I'm sure everyone here knows). One extreme is "every sperm is sacred" whereas the other extreme is "abortion should be legal until the baby slides past the magical vagina gate and the ref calls 'Safe!'" Most people are somewhere between those extremes but any cut-off point is going to be arbitrary, hence the division (in some cases to a lesser degree perhaps, such as using quantifiable characteristics such as a heart beat, etc.). Most states seem to have abortion deadlines well beyond 6 weeks (mostly around 15 - 24 weeks). The "pro choice" faction already won but then sabotaged themselves by embracing the extreme, or even outright celebrating abortion. Reasonable people eventually jumped off the crazy train. At this point, there is no productive conversation that can be had since there's too much crazy.

I'm starting to re-think my position on the drug issue, and have become extremely skeptical in light of a government that for damn near a whole century threw people in prison for weed, now, in less than a few years, all of sudden relents and reverses course. Especially when considering that today's commercial grade weed is not a dime bag of Mexican dirt weed like we used to score back in the day. Not sure what the best course of action is, it certainly isn't a Nixon-esque War on Drugs 2.0 At the same time, hundreds of thousands of people dropping dead from Chi-Com fentanyl flowing across the wide open border isn't a recipe for a free and healthy country either. I also don't want my doctor to be this guy:
