This is a fake conversation between Lex Friedman and Eric Weinstein completely generated by AI. https://vimeo.com/790618337/d357304ee6 I don't know how to tell everyone that they need to be skeptical of every phone call from a loved one, every piece of audio, and every piece of video, but that's the era we're in. I don't think the technical solutions to this are very difficult, but they are not here yet. For now, we're lucky we have video conferencing I guess.

https://libertyclick.news/2023/02/03/sci-sensitive-compartmented-information/ SCI – Sensitive Compartmented Information Posted on February 3, 2023 by LSJohn I have to wonder whether there’s something I’m misunderstanding about these recent ongoing controversies regarding classified information. My impression has long been that SCI documents were under the second-highest classification level ( Confidential – SECRET – TOP SECRET – SCI – Code-Word. There could very likely be even higher levels whose existence we aren’t supposed to even know about.)

Not my wheelhouse, but all this is interesting. I think alliances will change a lot until then. Though a lot of political 'truisms' won't be true to the extent election rigging is mitigated and to the extent people stop watching TV, I still think it is a long game and there is such a thing as early burnout, for instance. Here, it looks to me like all camps are playing games, jockeying for position. We are the voters to be 'persuaded' you see.

The more that people in control are obsessed with power, the more what you say is true. However, that is within the domain in which they seek to maintain it. Outside of that domain are hugs and bitcoin, for instance.

I'm convinced that Sam Harris is mentioned on more podcasts than any other human being alive. I don't understand it. Because he's an atheist voice that people who are mad at religions can use to virtue signal? He's reasonably interesting in the few minutes I've heard him I suppose, but it does not seem organic to me.

I don't know how to frame this so it doesn't sound a bit tongue-in-cheek - but it's just a question I don't have a great answer to: What is bad about it owning all debt? What happens? Fed collapses? (darn) But then I assume then the federal government would eventually collapse? If that's right, people who work for the government would be hit hard and of course the country would be vulnerable to aggressive superpowers. What affect would this have on a person who doesn't get a tax return and lives in a peaceful neighborhood in Kansas or something?

Excellent point. The basic education here includes: - Innocent until proven guilty - Personal information should be owned by the individual - Definition of expunge - Vulnerabilities of centralization - Characteristics and behavior of a society and its enforcement units while in a decline toward authoritarianism Admittedly, this alone does not necessarily invalidate *all* organized attempts to prevent crime.

It allows anyone willing to spend a few hours learning to have their own website or blog that they can post to. It is one of the technologies most responsible for decentralization of publishing. It is also open source, with infinite plugins to add functionality, such as automatic cross-posting to social media sites.

This is how we think about it the wrong way. There's nothing but individuals who have different opinions, with varying levels of confidence in each. And then there's representatives, who have different lobbyists and 'special interests,' with varying levels of risk should they choose to act against each.

Blaming the victim. They were 99+% just people who care about fair elections and the future peacefully assembling. Individuals who committed crimes are different. Don't make it easier for protests to be infiltrated and seeded with fake actors and give them protective cover by saying the whole crowd acts like they do.

I disagree. 'Completely raped and shattered?' I doubt I could believe that after a month of CNN re-education. I think worse violence has occurred at the capitol, and other federal properties, at the hands of environmentalists, antifa, and more, in the past. I think it is all up to how much the media, and those who consume it, chose to dramatize the event. People called me while I was there and asked if I was okay because of what they saw on the TV. I had no idea what they were talking about, because the reality was nothing like the media's portrayal. They zoom in on the worst thing and then magnify it. Everyone should know this trick by now.

Yup. But anyone who has been to a concert will understand. This was one with hundreds of thousands of people. The 300 idiots got to the front and were led and/or followed into a dramatized revolutionlarp trap. The kid I talked to thought he was in a revolutionary battle, but it was more like a balloon fight for him than anything else. Most people were like, 'oh wow, the cops threw a smokebomb. typical' while they chanted optimistic things and introduced themselves to each other and asked where each other was from and commented on signs and hats and flags etc.

That was the goal of my subtext, which I put forward as a placeholder reminder that something must be done about it. It's always going to come down to what people accept individually. But the idea here is that society could reach a point where definitions matter, and in such a world truths would be derived from justifiable authority. I suppose only objective truths are in play. On the contrary, I was not having a pornographical argument. I'm thinking of it more like objective = 'it is' subjective = 'it seems to be' -- but not the easily passed over version of 'it seems to be,' used like a segueway. I mean it literally, in that the subjective acts as a model of what the world appears to be so far based on available information. It's subject to change. It's hypothetical. The objective then, is what measurably is.
