The billions of dollars he and his family have raked in while he's been President would probably soften the blow a good bit, though.

I was more hinting at the Trump connection. Reason is that there's a growing call for Donald to step down from the nomination with his polling lagging badly and just his general usefulness starting to wane. Nothing like some good ol' fashioned kiddie diddlin' allegations to facilitate that. Interesting times. -Berman firing -Bushies starting Biden SuperPAC

( Firestarter sorta beat me to it by a minute ) Hmmm....I wouldn't bank on that. That same suicide story playing out yet again would make even the sheepiest of sheep say WTF? My guess is that she'll drop some major bombshells leading up to election season as a "cooperating witness". These days the question is what can create more chaos? Another story about suicide or statements about prominent people doing bad, bad things?

Everything eventually gets co-opted. Why? Because most people can't resist having freshly printed money thrown at them by the co-opters. Trillions of dollars in Fed bux printed up since 2008 has bought up practically every website of any mainstream significance, whether explicitly via legal purchase or via buying the allegiance of the site operator.

So far none of the stores I've been in had anything to say about not wearing a mask. Granted, not a lot of places but still.

It must have been really difficult doing all that climbing, rappelling and chiseling while only being able to see out of two little eye holes and carrying a torch. The ridiculousness of media collectively is pegging the 1-10 stupid meter these days. (Pssst...NYT, don't tell anyone but the KKK was started by Democrats)

Depends on what you mean by "better". Better perhaps in the sense that Trump says things that his base wants to hear but then does the opposite, which is little to no different than what Hillary or Biden would do. Hillary or Biden wouldn't bother with the charade. Those of us paying attention know that the CFR is (domestically) in control of both parties and their "elected" politicians, while all of this is well planned out long in advance by CFR/RIIA think tanks over in Britain. -I'm withdrawing from TPP and Paris Accord! (Later, TPP is added to USMCA and the Paris Accord is valid until Trump is out-of-office) -I'm withdrawing from the WHO! (Months later still no withdrawal) etc etc. The dude is all talk but follows the script in his official actions. Tweets and rallies are not official actions. They are Madison Ave PR and nothing else. You haven't figured this out yet?

The rumor is to replace local corporate police with mainly federal controlled NATO military police. If there happens to be violence in the midst of any severe reduction in police personnel during such a change-over, TPTB wouldn't mind that at all since it will lead to further depopulation in the meantime. Such a reduction in personnel also allows for the increased possibility of any "round-ups" taking place with minimal outside attention from local authorities and local news who may start asking uncomfortable questions.

Ability to critical think is most definitely a "rare medical condition" these days, hence not a lie. ymmv Having said that, neither of the chain stores I went to yesterday in Charlotte cared that I didn't wear one. There was one employee that sorta looked like he wanted to say something but thought the better of it.

Just say you have a medical condition and to back off and if anyone touches you they'll find themselves on the wrong side of a lawsuit. No one will mess with you. That is what the "governor's order" says, at least in NC. What that condition is is up to you to decide and you don't have to share it. Anxiety, claustrophobia, or good ol' fashioned critical thinking ability, which is most definitely a "rare medical condition" these days. (btw, I think rev3 was just trolling y'all. fwiw, if anyone cares, I will start wearing PPE -after- the vaccines are rolled out, however. that's when the real infections start imo.)

There was a time when Cohen did characters that made everyone look like fools and it was entertaining (I even dressed as "Ali G" for Halloween some years ago). Now all he does is troll gullible conservative white people, as it's the only way he can remain relevant and somewhat profitable. Sad.

NC governor declared required masks everywhere. It's mandatory but in reality is voluntary. If I'm forced to wear one just to buy orange juice then I'm going whole shebang and donning a P100 full face, full body Tyvek suit and booties next time I go shopping. Fuck it. At least I'll make everyone else look like unserious pikers. I already have a very deep voice so maybe I'll throw in some Darth Vader breathing sound effects and do a James Earl Jones impression. Luuuuuke, I am your customerrrr. (deep breathing) Come with me and along side we can rule the produce section together forever!

You don't really believe that's the reason, do you? If you believe the "1,000,000 tickets" claim then obviously there weren't really tickets, just a website sign up to get info for donor/GOTV email lists and entry was first-come-first-served. No one was prevented from showing up merely because of some kids on tiktok. If that were true then tickets would have been limited to arena capacity and maybe a few thousand more for overflow. Doesn't pass the logic test, sorry and Trumpers can't have it both ways. Either Tiktok kids took all the actual tickets or the 1,000,000 claim was complete bs.

Thanks. Watched it but didn't see any evidence specifically of anyone being prevented from entering the rally area. One section looks like the police keeping a gate of some sort closed until people settled down but that's it. Otherwise just run-of-the-mill protesting and dumb people arguing with each other. I did, however, see video of the inside of the arena where the whole upper bowl seating wasn't bothered to be uncovered, indicating the venue knew it wouldn't be anywhere near a full house. Oh yeah, you would know the area better than any of us. (must spread some +rep before...)

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to see what's going on here. Replacing the US Attorney who indicted Trump's buddies Epstein and Cohen (reportedly looking at Rudy now) and is in charge of investigating Wall St crimes. Replacing him with the do-nothing head of the SEC who's never been a prosecutor at any level and who currently looks the other way while the Trump clan rapes the stock markets daily. It's been this way for a long time, long before Trump, but now they're not even trying to hide that it's nothing but a big organized crime mafia operation underway. No need for a link since it's everywhere already.

Dow and S&P closed red on a Friday. AFAIK that hasn't happened in a long time. Every effort was made to keep the numbers looking pretty over the weekends. Rumors of June 21 and perhaps June 24 being interesting dates to watch.

I'm pretty sure I'd lose 10 IQ points attending such an event but, if the report is true, this is clearly an attempt to curtail the right to assembly and I'll never support that.

Elections come and go. Censorship, once enacted, sticks around much longer than a 4 year President.

And since the penalty is a whopping $5000, few, if any, will actually sue for violations. That's literally such a small amount that it would fall under small claims court in my state. Only the most repeated and egregious documented examples of repeat censorship "in bad faith" would make a suit viable. As you point out, the word "selective" is the operative word of the entire statute. Want to avoid violation? Don't be selective. Just censor a giant swath of content (anti-vax, agenda 2030, etc) and declare that it is in good faith and is not selective. Anytime Rubio and Cotton have their fingerprints on a bill, it's not for the people's benefit.
