Hmm....if I wanted to stop paying out benefits to a group of people, how would I ensure they no longer needed the money without drawing scrutiny?

There's entire YT vids devoted to the 88/Trump connection. Look around. It starts to make a whole lot of sense with the vaccination push, appointing close Gates associates like Fauci to key "pandemic" positions who are pushing vaccines (Gates daddy was long time Planned Parenthood board chair, PP was started to control minority breeding....Melinda Gates: "Give the vaccine to blacks first.") Deep rabbit hole bro.

It wouldn't be the first time .gov forced a technology sale. See: MS and Skype. Apparently only the NSA can spy on everyone with impunity.

What? Only the Alinsky LARPing Trumpers get to create false click-bait thread titles? No one else? lol The difference between me and the Alinsky LARPing Trumpers is I'm ok with admitting and correcting my mistakes, instead of doubling down on them to the point of ridiculousness like the LARPers do. I'm sure that's seen as some sort of weakness or fail by pathological liars, though.

Yep, that's the incrementalism at work, yet the GOP still hasn't picked up on it and praises Trump when he goes above and beyond everything Obama ever did and with nary a concern for what that incrementalism would mean once the pendulum inevitably swings back the other way. Apparently not, since you keep calling it a tax cut, not a tax deferral. Using your example of a car payment, if your lender deferred your payments you would never say that the lender gave you a payment cut. That doesn't require spin or a dictionary. The difference is plainly obvious. That makes sense for a lot of reasons. It's still interesting that such an action fell on that exact 8/8 day, since it was a Saturday and gov never does much of anything on the weekends. Makes me wonder what the long con is? Maybe tie tax forgiveness to vaccination....

Good on you for reading it and drawing your own conclusion. We need more of that overall. That's how productive discussions of policy happen instead of shit slinging over headlines. I should have waited to start this thread until after reading the EOs so I am guilty of it myself in this instance. Any way... Having said that, there is no enforcement mechanism mentioned if any money asked for and accepted is not used for that purpose. It is quite possible that this becomes a stealth bailout of state UE funds for another couple of months, with most people asking in a month "Where's that extra $400 we were promised?" That's speculation but there's still people wondering where their $1200 checks are. The Dems wanted to send money directly to state budgets to prop up their sagging UE budgets. This could accomplish that for a short period of time. Bigger picture: People still haven't figured out that any "benefit" offered by the feds and accepted by the people is actually a trap. There's no free lunch when it comes to gov and their banker handlers. No free lunches, always a catch (liability) in there somewhere.

Blah blah. What are you talking about Alinsky LARPer? A tax deferral is not a tax cut. If Trump (his communist CFR handlers, actually) was actually doing what you claim, the EO would direct the Treasury to disregard Title 26, not direct them to FOLLOW it.

The catch is that it is then up to the Governors to decide if they want to use the money received (whenever they actually receive it, no one seems to think about that part) to pay the additional unemployment payments or if they'd rather use it for something else, like bailing out their pension funds. This looks sort of like it could be a stealth bailout of the state budgets like Chuck and Nancy wanted, but on a smaller scale. Sure, if holding people hostage for their vote over a completely fake emergency is cool with you.

With "Republicans" like Donald, who needs Democrats? You Alinsky LARPers are doing a fantastic job turning conservatives into fellow communists, without them even realizing it. Well played LARPers, well played. Pushing vote buying writ large, and making traditional Dem vote buying look downright amateurish. Better to hold much of the country hostage than just poor minorities, eh? Who screams for Trump to break laws, other than you LARPers? There's a constitutional process to repeal BAD LAWS and it should be followed. Only someone with no respect for the Constitution advocates for breaking the Constitution. That's Bush level "ignore capitalism to save capitalism" nonsense.

I don't know off hand what the specific wording of the CARES Act provision said about any such thing but go read the EO I linked a few posts up. The title of the EO itself says "DEFERRING PAYROLL TAX OBLIGATONS". The EO, constitutional or not, does not direct any taxes to be cut. It directs the Treasury, pursuant to federal statute, to suspend and defer, collection of tax for filers that meet certain conditions. That's it.

Read my above post. There are no tax cuts, only tax DEFERRALS. Stop saying they are tax cuts. They're not. All of these people thinking they're getting tax cuts and free money will be bigly surprised when their TAX BILLS come due next year. "But but dannno said it was a tax cut and free checks?!?!? Why do I owe $3400?!?!?"

The quick and dirty of the EOs is that they do NOT do what the Trumpkins and their echo chamber media purports they do. Admittedly, this thread title is probably inaccurate, though little to none of what they detail was constitutional in the first place. What the EOs do is: 1) "Urge" Governors to ask FEMA for money for the unemployment funds, up to $400 per eligible recipient, with a cap on how much is available from already appropriated CARES funds remaining. 2) DEFER payroll tax for anyone earning under $4000 per month. It does not "cut" taxes or repeal any taxes. 3) Housing evictions and foreclosures apply only to residents with Fannie and Freddie mortgages and those receiving federal housing/rent subsidies. 4) SUSPEND student loan payments for loans held by DoE

The EOs are released. https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/memorandum-authorizing-needs-assistance-program-major-disaster-declarations-related-coronavirus-disease-2019/ FEMA is now in charge of disbursing money to state governments that request it, who then pay it out to "eligible claimants". This EO does not order $400 payments directly to any one whatsoever. So, in other words, more Trump fake news headlines. The EO "urges" Governors to beg FEMA for money to shore up their sagging unemployment funds. It is perhaps not unconstitutional since it is not actually a directive to spend money not appropriated. Governors have to ask FEMA for it and it is disbursed by the states, if they choose to. Either way, all 4 of today's EOs are still blatant vote buying. But that must be ok since Republicans are welfare queens now, too. Rest of EOs here: https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/

Trump does not have executive authority to do that. Congress must repeal the relevant Title 26 to stop voluntary federal income tax. What part of the EO being unconstitutional do you not get? (eta: The EO says "TAX DEFERRED", not tax cut.) And what of directing spending that is not congressionally appropriated? HIGHLY unconstitutional. (eta: EO says Governors are "urged" to ask FEMA for money already appropriated by the CARES Act that hasn't yet been spent. No new federal spending is directed. I know that all of this is scripted well in advance but it still irks me how feckless and weak conservatives really are, despite all their gung-ho rhetoric. Trump had the number "88" (8/8) surrounding him since he started campaigning (even before then) and I have a 5 year old thread about what was planned that's happening now, here: (though you've probably already read it)

Just stop. For the love of god just stop. If you're going to insist that going around the Congress to decree "let them eat cake" is a-ok because of a contrived emergency, you have no business being on this forum any more. I remember when conservatives freaked over Obama saying "I have a phone and a pen" to get around Congress. Today? CRICKETS. Republicans/conservatives/most libertarians are a fucking joke.

(eta: After full review of the orders, the constitutionality of the EOs is questionable, since what the Trumpkins claim they do isn't exactly what they do. I should know better than to react to the Trumpkin fake news headlines :smirking:) Congratulations America, you've successfully turned over the country to a vote-buying dictatorship. It's signed. The President has no authority whatsoever to direct spending that is not appropriated by the Congress but who cares as long as some imaginary Fedbux show up. Conservatives  But be sure to vote real hard this coming election to avoid those pesky vote buying socialist Democrats!

After they get the population to take the RNA altering vaccine, humans can then legally be claimed as property instead of unpatentable creations of the Creator with natural inherent rights. A vaccine taker is no longer a sovereign living man or woman. The vaccine taker becomes patented property just like a GMO corn plant! Or at least those that survive the vaccines and associated depopulation. This agenda is ultimately about legally owning everything on the planet, including us. See my sig.

Which, in inverse lying banker speak, means prices will rise and choices will fall, while money becomes more and more scarce, creating a price inflationary depression. They're deflating Main St while maintaining an "inflation" narrative. IMO, "helicopter money" is only for Wall St and connected corporations. Main St is receiving a slow motion helicopter carpet bombing.

Same day as the highest GDP drop on record was printed. When bad info hits, he throws out some ridiculous red meat to distract away and give the media something different to talk about. Distractor-in-Chief. His job right now to distract away from the banker's controlled collapse of the economy, which is also the end of the biggest heist of wealth in human history.

Fwiw, I think Biden's junkie question wasn't meant to be directed at the questioner himself. Rather, Biden was trying to draw a comparison as to whether someone needs to test a cocaine addict for drug use instead of just asking the user if he's a junkie, but in Biden's state it comes off sounding like something different. Whether directed at the questioner or not it doesn't bode well for the prospect of giving someone the PR-man-in-chief job, though. Don't get me started on Trump either. What does Trump say when he wants to summon Jared and Ivanka into the Oval Office?

If you have an Apple, the iOS framework for the tracking app was quietly installed on your phone already without your permission. It's in the Settings>Security area. It can be removed. Instructions to remove it can be found if you search. I'm not sure if it's possible to keep it off the phone. If you have an Android, the framework for the tracking app was quietly installed on your phone already without your permission. It's in Settings>Google. There are instructions to remove it if you search. If you remove it, then immediately disable Google Play Store and the rest of the Google Play junk in Settings>Apps, the Settings>Google disappears and it won't be reinstalled unless you re-enable Play services long enough for it to reinstall. I've always had the Google Play stuff disabled and the framework was never installed. Sneaky bastards. Like your PC, you shouldn't have any auto-update settings enabled any way.

The million dollar question, indeed. Stick with what your instincts tell you. It's not just the vaccine stuff but it is a peek behind the curtain. Media never opposes more spending, more military/war, more federal intrusion, etc. Media only opposes surface political red meat topics, never the real "action items" that are taken under the cover of the red meat.
