Well, it's Baltimore, so how about the "Freddie Gray Memorial Rough Ride"? Other options include the, "Why in God's Holy Name are You Seriously in this City Memorial Bridge", and "Give Up Hope All Ye Who Enter Here Memorial Bridge", and "Ray Lewis is a Thug and it's No Surprise This Garbage Dump of a City Worships Him Memorial Bridge". Less popular but still optional names include, "Have You Put on your Level 4 Plates Yet Memorial Bridge", and, finally, "Make Sure You Have One in the Pipe Memorial Bridge".

It's lawfare specifically targeted at him. There are politicos all throughout FedGov who are doing the same, if not worse, everyday and not a SINGLE ONE OF THEM get frog-marched into a courthouse and punished with a BS summary judgment, and even if one did there is NO WAY they'd be hung with a half a billion dollar bond. No way. And with the lenders attesting that they were paid in full and were happy to do business with Trump and would be happy to do so again, this case had literally no standing in the state of New York. Which is why we are seeing major players in that market pulling out and going elsewhere... and why wouldn't you? The stat just signaled that if you somehow become persona non grata, they're going to use their courts to destroy you. This is banana republic stuff, and it's going to contribute to the eventual, inevitable dissolution of the union. So, in a sense, I guess it's good. It's BS... but it ultimately is good...

Terrifyingly true, brother. They'll never get me up on a stage to humiliate me like that. I'll die on my feet. And I'm well enough equipped to take a few of the bastards with me.

Off topic, kinda, but I'll suggest you get your air travel trips out of the way over the course of the next year or two. Guess you can't do the same when it comes to litigation...Idiocracy wasn't just a mildly funny movie - it was a premonition, and a pretty spot on one, at that.

It might reduce the value of the property by a few million... maybe even a hundred million, for argument's sake, but would still be worth well north of one or two hundred million dollars. This whole business is an absolute, unadulterated sham. No right-thinking, honest person would see it any other way.

Regardless, the easement would not in any way, shape or form reduce the value of that property from hundreds of millions of dollars to 18 million dollars. That's preposterous, and everyone who doesn't have TDS knows this. This is textbook lawfare, and James and Engoron should be both disbarred and imprisoned for fraud and malicious prosecution (I just made that one up, I think). Any or other way, however, this ruling is absurd on it's face, and is destructive to the principle of a free and fair judicial system.

We'd be in this position today if we'd reincarnated Thomas Jefferson, installed him as president, and put Ron Paul in as Speaker... Everything they show us is theater. They're not making any decisions... everything has been decided, and nothing will stop it. There is no top of the mountain - the American Sisyphus will continue to push the boulder up the mountain until he can't anymore, and then the boulder will roll back and crush him in spectacular fashion. The American state is a dead man walking, and there's nothing nor no one who could possibly stop it. Our only hope is to be prepared for that collapse, and hope that we're in physical proximity to a region that decides to secede and reset.

 One caveat - just as with an asphalt roadway, subgrade preparation is critical to the durability of the road surface. Concrete will crack and chip if the subgrade is not prepared properly - that includes identifying soft spots in the soil subgrade and reinforcing them with filter fabric and #4 stone ("rip rap"), in some situations, as well as a well placed and compacted gravel base course. I managed a project 14 years ago in a local town that required the complete rebuild of a street from the subgrade all the way back to surface. There are no potholes in that road to this day. And that includes a challenging section of about 500' of nearly flat roadway (I think it was about 1-2" of fall over that entire distance). We made sure that the water would drain to the inlets so as to prevent it from laying on the surface and weakening the asphalt over time thru seeping and, in the winter particularly, freeze/thaw.

They're not trying to convince anyone that transgenderism is a real and timeless thing. They're trying to destroy Western Civilization. I don't think that the supposed "rank and file" think that way - probably many do, but these people are generally speaking completely brainwashed, and by the way it's actually scary how effective and wide-spread that actually can be... Regardless, the "leaders" of this and other progressive movements are actively seeking to destroy Western Civilization. And if you believe as I do that Western Civilization is the best thing that mankind has ever produced, then it becomes an imperative to oppose these people at every turn. It's literally a battle for survival of our species.

First of all, bravo to these folks for taking matters into their own hands... however... 2 things: 1 - Along with doing the work that the state should be doing as part of it's "contractual" (yeah, I know) obligations, there should be a tax revolt at the same time. 2 - They're not doing it right. They're using what is called "cold patch", which can't just be dumped into a hole and patted down with a shovel with the expectation that it will hold up. That will last about 10 or so vehicle transverses before it's squeezed out of the depression and ultimately will have been a waste of time. you can definitely use cold patch to fill in a pothole, but you have to put it in correctly. Depending on the depth of the pothole, the cold patch should be laid in in layers, and a vibra-plate should be used to tamp it into place... repeat until you come to surface (in most cases with a pothole, it's going to be one layer). And while cold patch would probably get it done for a year, maybe 2, in a warm climate like this, the best solution really would be to saw-cut around the depression and lay in hot asphalt that is vibra-plated into place. And for the record, most of the potholes that we deal with are a result of poor construction. There's really no reason that potholes should exist in roads that are no less than 10 years old... it just takes proper engineering, which should specify proper subgrade installation (undercut, compaction, etc.) and appropriate lifts of hot patch are installed to spec'd compaction parameters. I do appreciate and admire what these folks are doing, but ultimately it's going to prove no better than what the incompetent state is doing. If we're going to do the whole, "we can do whatever the state does only better", thing, then we should actually do it better. Don't get me wrong - I admire what they're doing, but if you're going to do it, do it right. Google can be your friend. Or find a like-minded local contractor willing to get involved. Just don't make the movement look bad.

Well, no, we all cannot do that. But we can work towards a future in which these so-called trans people will get the help they actually need, rather than creating a social movement that normalizes a mental illness, and fosters a social contagion which ruins much of a generation of kids who don't know any better. This is an utter madness. This shouldn't even be a conversation. I don't have kids. Sometimes I regret that, and sometimes I'm grateful that I don't. But my sincerest advice to those of you have school-aged kids is this: take them out of those schools, ASAP. Homeschool them. No excuses... no, "we can't afford it"... you - and the rest of society - can't afford for you to not. The future of our civilization may well entirely depend upon it.
