I wasn't surprised This would be in a violation of the 1st amendment. For a government, admin officials to be demanding any companies to silence , censor voices. US govt is no different from a dictatorship govt.

Political witch hunt over Trump and his family barring them from running for office? i would agree with that you unfortunately. With this they want you and US to believe that the US is a democratic place. At end of the time the US isn't as democratic as they claim to many countries.

I don't think it was that hard to predict that putting together Ye and Fuentes would turn out to be a really bad combo... I like a lot of Milo's stuff, but damn, people need to learn some tact.

Just to be clear, we have two wholly different issues here. The first is, just kill yourself. Badness, 100% agree. The second, however, is justifiable: ending one's life as a matter of willed choice (v. coerced) under circumstances. I just buried my... Well, my mom's man. They weren't married so I hesitate to call him a "step-father". I'll just call him John. He worked at US Metals for long years as an equipment operator. All his friends and colleagues died long ago from heavy metal poisoning. John contracted cancer that metastasized. His last days were grim. Imagine pain so intense that while in a deep coma, you are hanging on to the bed rails, grimacing. This was not treat to witness, either. If I hated someone enough to want to squeeze the life from him with my bare hands, I would not wish such a thing as John's fate on them. He asked to be killed, this coming from a 6' 2" Hungarian dirt farmer who loved life. Had I been able to do it without going to prison for the rest of my life, I'd like to think I'd have had the sand to go through with it. And know you that I'd considered it quite seriously, the thought appalling and repellant, but a worthy act that I'd shrunk from due to the legal threats to my being. So for cases such as this, I am 100% in favor of assisted suicide. Nobody should have to go through what I watched John endure back in this October just past.

Your prerogative. I'm neutral on him, neither a detractor nor sycophant. He did some good, failed significantly at other things. Then you are not using your brain properly. The simple fact that so much hanky panky was uncovered should at least have you on the fence. Trump probably won by a landslide, but at this point we may never know the truth. But to unequivocally imply he lost is first-order foolery. There was very little that was clean about the 2020 elections, just as has been the case in 2022. Theye are waggling their balls on the end of your tongue and you're not moving it.

A friend just tossed this at me. The plaintiff is suing everyone from Biden on down, nearly 400 respondents. I don't know how unique is the approach here, but I've not seen it before. Every assertion plaintiff makes appears to my eyes to be valid, which if so, places SCOTUS into something of a corner. I cannot see SCOTUS agree to hear the case as it would necessitate a ruling. The only valid opinion would result in the removal of every respondent from office and barring them for life from holding any position of Special Trust. This, of course, would throw a gigantic wrench in Theire works, and so therefore I cannot see SCOTUS giving it a hearing as there seems to be no upside for them. Refusing to hear the case would also stand to damage their credibility, but not nearly to the same degree. Therefore, having been painted into a tight corner by an apparently clever plaintiff, their least painful option would be to demur. If they choose to hear it, I would be more than a little surprised. OTOH, I suppose there is the possibility that SCOTUS might decide to make lemonade form this lemon by handing down some outrageously wrong ruling that would potentially forever codify Theire ability to do whatever the hell they please with utter impunity and in the open. It's anyone's guess what will happen here, but I will keep an eye on this one with some anticipation and curiosity. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ https://www.supremecourt.gov/DocketPDF/22/22-380/243739/20221027152243533_20221027-152110-95757954-00007015.pdf?fbclid=IwAR2A5dEiWxqtKdQfoXD3_NJfpcpjmPvKh0vsIe1I0AW-BjVyv09Ob86qVPk

Maybe when she hit the deer, it knocked out the battery, engine shut off, which means no brakes, no steering, etc, and God put her neatly on the shoulder of the road? Not sure, seen plenty of accidents where cars end up all over the place, I don't think the '17 Camry is that smart but not going to make any claims.

The continuing saga of our stupid lives brought a new twist about three weeks ago. Bibi, my fantastic wife, mowed a large buck on I-64 just west of Covington VA on her way home. Her '17 Camry was destroyed with every airbag in the vehicle set off, about a dozen in all. She got banged up real good with huge and nasty bruises on her arms, most notably. The culprit was not the impact with the deer, but the damned airbags themselves. She called me up around 9PM and I drove out to get her at the ER. Nothing broken, but she got knocked around something good. Now for the weird part. As I believe I may have mentioned here in a different post relating to the exploits of my hausfrau, Bibi is one of the most rational and down-to-earth people you will ever meet. She is in no way given to exaggeration or flights of fancy, so when she tells me things that are, erm... weird, I listen. She told me that when she impacted the deer, the brakes and steering immediately stopped working, 100%. There was nothing, quite literally. She hit the creature at about 70 mph, so the impact was severe. The bags were deployed, she could see nothing, had no control over the vehicle, and yet it stopped ON ITS OWN on the shoulder, as if put there with some care. Just like that she went from a high speed <BANG!> to a dead stop, parked neatly out of the traffic flow. Anyone have any speculations as to what happened there? Thus far the only response I've gotten from about a dozen people has been "God". Anyone have anything different, or is that to be the consensus? Any input is appreciated.

I felt this was a bad deal from the start. I'm unvaxxed and shall remain so. United required Bibi to get the jab. She very quietly put it off and off and off until United stopped requiring it, so at least in that regard she is relatively safe. Our friend Carlos got the jab and now has a ruined heart. It is getting marginally better, but will probably never be quite right again. For awhile we feared he would die. There is no other bug in all recorded history that has acted as does this one. This effort to do something to the global population is barely veiled at all. The amazing thing to witness here has been the sheer power of normalcy bias. People don't want to see, and so long as even the thinnest pretext exists, they will refuse reality that proves inconvenient to their coward's need for a sense of being safe, regardless of how false it may be.

As a student of Japanese martial arts, I have come to have a sense of the culture. Japanese people tend very much away from direct speech, as it is deemed rude, inelegant, and a source of great discomfort for them. So when a Japanese professional man becomes direct, you know something is going way tight. Get a load of this doctor going at it about the covid "vaccine". This is so out of character for the Japanese, I had a moment of cognitive dissonance as I watched. 1597708474519289857

It will be interesting to see how Americans respond to any call for a return to 2020. It will be similarly interesting to see how Theye respond if perchance Americans don't take the bait. "...closing these schools, ruining these kids' lives... depression, suicide, went through the roof when..." This statement, if true, should be a gigantic red flag to anyone seeing it. How could this be so? Depression from not going to school? If this is the case, it signals a fundamental alteration in the makeup of the mean child. To become so utterly dependent on so artificial an environmental factor as this strikes me as freakish. When I was a kid, had I no longer had to go to school, I would have been relieved and overjoyed. I'd have learned the world far better than I would have in school, a place I despised with no limit. Other than my sixth-grade teacher, who cared enough to teach me the fundamentals of differential calculus, the rest could have died in house fires and I would have cared not. Except for my friend Steve, may God bless his good soul, I can say the same for the people with whom I was forced to share my days as students. Most were mean, petty, and nasty, largely because that's how kids tend to be when kept in large groups in an inherently toxic environment. I can only imagine what "through the roof" means in absolute numbers when compared with those prior to the engineered event.

One of the first things a budding astronomer needs to learn is the constellations, since that is how astronomical objects are named and organized. A book called "The Stars" by Rey is considered by many to be the best book on learning the constellations. I have a copy in good shape. I would be happy to gift it to your daughter. It would be a good companion to a telescope or binoculars. Let me know if you are interested.
