You missed the point completely. The other person was pointing out that this is dumb legislation by Rand because half the people are going to hate it, it will go nowhere, meanwhile there are more important issues that most people agree on. You turned it into a pissing contest debate on abortion.

Thanks for the rep. As a traditional conservative myself I find myself getting more and more frustrated with the libertarians and their purist philosophy yet they hold policy positions that are closer to mine then most supposed conservatives. This is a very frustrating time to be a conservative.

Well, I was just giving my opinion. I hope that I'm wrong, but I think Ron's answer did a lot of damage to his campaign. He went down pretty significantly on Intrade after that answer. I hope that his answer will simply be forgetten, but I have my doubts. I probably went too far by saying that he "just lost the Iowa caucus," but I think that he significantly hurt his chances. You may disagree, but I think that getting elected is more important than simply saying whatever comes to mind. Ron needed to give a much more disciplined answer, and he didn't do it.

Criticize Ron all you want, but to post that we just lost the iowa caucus? I mean that is ridiculous. If you want to criticize Ron's performance that is totally fine but making some overly emotional post discouraging morale is not constructive.
