Well, as far as that goes, pink unicorns that fart flower-scented rainbows are possible ... FTA (underline/bold emphasis & brackets added): IOW: The "researchers" haven't accomplished anything that science fiction authors haven't been doing since science fiction became a thing. Not that there's anything wrong with that. But it is what it is and it ain't what it ain't ...

It's almost like the power issues are an excuse to get Texas off its own independent grid system. Seems that the existence of a single state-controlled power system would be in opposition to any global people control agenda, no? Naaa that's tinfoil hat stuff. Can't be.

Mass media would never run with a Pizzagate or Illuminati story. The goal is to drown out the old headlines (news and search results) with a new narrative that's safe for mass media distribution. #metoo is safe. Pizzagate is not safe. Btw, Pizzagate and Illuminati aren't fake. I figured you knew that, seeing how you have entire threads on RPF devoted to the Illumnati.

You'd probably have a point there if Don the Con didn't insist on still trying to make himself relevant even after setting up his own supporters to be labeled domestic terrorists and handing $megabillions to vaccine corps, introducing us to the-man-who-will-not-go-away, his Jesuit buddy Fauci, and all the rest of what is now manifesting under the fake Biden administration. If he wants to be forgotten then he should disappear into the sunset like most ex-Presidents do instead of continuing to force himself upon everyone. On topic: I think this reopening narrative is required since the shots (should stop calling them vaccines since they aren't) will later rely on easy spreading of real coronaviruses which trigger the cytokine storms that doomed past coronavirus vaccines from production due to bad outcomes. This Governor-Biden drama is false opposition filler. They were exceedingly efficient at actually killing the test animals that received the shots once later challenged with a real virus. That is likely why animal testing was completely skipped for the covid shots. Can't get people to take them when the test animals all died soon after. Kinda spoils the surprise...

There is no history of lynchings associated with the Popeye, and Popeye isn't the caricature of all sailors, so I'll be offended at whatever I want to be offended at thank you very much. I remember back in HS in the 1980s when I went to an overwhelmingly white, southern private high school. I purposefully turned a blind eye to all of the racism I saw out of self preservation. One day I saw a fellow student drawing a swaztika on the computer. I was like "Why the hell are you doing that?" He was like "I'm German. This is part of my German heritage." I started to say something....then I realized he used the same argument many of my fellow students used about the confederate flag. (And yes I know not all confederate flag waivers are racists. But the kids that had the KKK cartoon on their dorm wall? Yeah...that was racist.) Anyway...Hitler never did anything to me. He didn't make a habit of mass murdering black people either. But you don't see Jews giving Nazi era cartoons of Jews a pass because of what they are associated with. I don't give the Flit ads a pass. That doesn't mean I've cancelled Dr. Seuss. But just like I can't tell you what you can and can't read, you can't tell me how to feel about what I read or chose not to read. For a reference, Bluto didn't have skinny biceps or oversized forearms, smoke a pipe or get high of spinach. All they had in common was a fetish for skinny women.

Hmmmm....the coldest weather I have ever been in was 0 degrees F in central Alabama and the propane in the my aunts outdoor tank worked just fine that night. My parents house only had wood heat. (Well I guess we could have plugged in a space heater.) My dad put in a way too big of a lot of fat pine. (If you aren't from the rural South you might not know what that means). Anyway the pot bellied stove was not properly vented out the wall and the house caught on fire. When the volunteer firefighters put the fire out, the water from the spray froze on their coats. During the blizzard of 1993 (18 inches of snow in Birmingham Alabama in March), we had "city" propane and that worked fine as well. Coal is fine, but I'm partial to wood. You can always go out and cut more.

Are you against class action lawsuits? https://legaldictionary.net/class-action-lawsuit/ Back to the Rosewood example, that you were afraid to address. That was group reparations. The members of the group were black people who had lived in a certain area and had been run out by a white mob. The statute of limitations had run out so filing a lawsuit was impossible. But the reason the statute of limitations had run out was because the victims were afraid to go to the law as the law had participated in the ethnic cleansing. Are you unwilling to actually address the thread? Why is that?

A masterful political distraction away from the emerging story that Cuomo purposely moved sick (identified as Covid infected but imo were flu and pneumonia) elderly into senior facilities with the intention, and eventual success, of killing off thousands of elderly residents that NY state was footing the bill for their care. Nothing like a flimsy #metoo type headline to bury what looks to be mass genocide by a sitting Governor. That narrative sounds like typical NY italian behavior, straight out of a Scorcese wedding scene.

Aufheben der Dr. Seuss https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPYieRhLATw The New Discourses Podcast with James Lindsay, Episode 23 Aufheben is a German word that, in Critical Theory, means to "abolish" or to "negate" in the way that Critical Theorists do. It's a somewhat complicated term in that it means both to abolish and to keep or to keep safe, and the Critical Theory taps into the so-called dialectical process to attempt to use aufheben to tear apart and, as the Marxists translated it, "sublate" whatever cultural artifact they are targeting onto a "higher" level of understanding, namely the one that empowers Critical Theorists and induces misery in everyone else. This process was widely pushed by the Critical Theorists of the Frankfurt School under a doctrine of Aufheben der Kultur ("abolishment of culture"), and it continues in the Woke movement today. One of the latest big targets of Aufheben der Kultur is Dr. Seuss and his wide body of popular children's literature. Why? Because of its success. Seuss becomes a cultural anchor point for hundreds of millions of children and adults, and by tainting Seuss, his legacy, and your own memories of him with accusations of racism and "harm," they can abolish that shared cultural anchor and make more room to advance their own agenda, in which every text is "decolonized" and geared to indoctrinate you and your children into Critical Theory, especially Critical Race Theory. Join James Lindsay in this episode of the New Discourses Podcast to dig into the Critical Dr Seuss academic literature to see where this Aufheben der Dr Seuss comes from and how it works.

I was posting videos of Viva Frei's analysis of the Parler v. Amazon case in this thread, but it makes more sense to put them in the "Amazon removes hosting for Parler" thread. I've posted the most recent update (as of 03 March 2021) to that thread (here: Parler vs. Amazon "Voluntary Dismissal"? Lawyer Explains - Viva Frei Vlawg), and I will start posting any future updates there as well.

Not always. Have you never heard of qualified immunity? Statute of limitations? The survivors of the Rosewood massacre were, most of them children, were to afraid, being the victims of mob justice that was backed by a corrupt, racist legal system, to file suit until many years later. So...no justice for them based on a technicality? Groups are made up of individuals. That's what you keep blabbering about when it comes to corporations. Edit: And I see you still are afraid to discuss the actual subject of the thread.

Awesome! And kudos for Rand for sticking to his principles. I know it might have been tempting in the wake of his run in with BLM crowds last summer to just say "Screw it! You're on your own." Edit: I just realized this got passed in the KENTUCKY legislature. Rand's federal bill addressing the issue still hasn't passed. :(

Also, the cadre of activists is much larger today than it was then. At the time, Critical Theory was securing its position in the universities, and hadn't yet captured K-12 education, corporate HR & marketing departments, and government entities & NGOs (as it has now).

I agree with you about the World War II propaganda when it came to the Japanese. But America wasn't at war with any African countries. In fact we were allied WITH the African country of Ethiopia against Italy. Yet Africans and African Americans were treated as poorly as the Japanese before, during and for a while after both World Wars. I agree with you that there were different cultural norms. I am glad those norms changed. It would be interesting to know the publication dates of the offensive Dr. Seuss books as compared to the Lorax and the Sneeds. Interesting observation of the Sneeds and cancel culture of calling the stars "old fashioned." Certainly there is a cultural aspect going on. The interesting thing is that the "star / no-star" style went in and out of fashion. (Like bell bottoms coming back?) From that perspective The Sneeds could address things other than just race, although I looked at it strictly from a race lens possibly due to my own experience.

Ah. I see. So it wasn't that there wasn't outrage. It's that the outraged people weren't so vocal. I'm surprised they haven't forced Anthony Hopkins and Jody Foster issue a public apology. That said, it's also strange that the idea of "just let adults do what they want with their body" is such a difficult concept. The idea that Buffalo Bill so desparately wanted a sex change that he became a mass murderer after failing the psychological qualifier is as nuts as the current situation of the dad having to fight in court to keep his ex wife from pushing hormone blockers on their son. Rand Paul is right. This isn't complicated. There is no "nuance" here.

Nope. I'm just not going to pretend that corporations are no different than individuals. You can have a corporation of one individual. Why is that so hard for you to understand? That said, I have nothing against anarchists. You can have civilization without what we call government. You also can have government without having corporations. You can't have corporations without government. A corporation is a government charter. It makes zero sense to say that an entity that has been granted a government license should not have an restrictions placed on that license. You don't like those restrictions? Don't take the license. Just be a partnership.
