That wasn't the intention but more about the power of the illusion of money and riches and how it is a control mechanism, with a side of general ignorance of the masses as to the realities of the current state of affairs. That's furthered by PLENTY of outreach organizations aimed at recruiting "illegals" into giving away their natural rights and assuming the position (heh) of federal corporate employee once they arrive here. They arrive here with notions and dreams of freedom -and- prosperity, as a fabled "US Citizen", not having to choose one or the other, but political apparatuses created by and beholden to the State, waste no time convincing them to get onto the "plantation" as "legal", which unknowingly gives up their natural freedoms and also generally limits their prosperity, since they then become liable for all the liabilities of being a US Citizen, such as 3/4 taxation and eleventy billion pages of codes, rules and regulations, which they otherwise wouldn't be subject to.

A census under the 1789 Constitution should include "illegals". A census under the 1871 Constitution should not. An "illegal" only means a human being who has not agreed to be legally bound as an employee of the federal corporation (by accepting SS# and 14th Amendment US Citizen status) and is still protected by the 1789 Constitution, the original law of the land which delineates natural rights. "Illegals" are the freest people on this landmass but Americans have been brainwashed to believe that being "illegal"=bad, while being "legal"=good, never mind that being "legal" means giving 3/4 of the fruits of your labor to the same corporate governments who oppress you. The mind control is strong.

No. Trump is gutless and dishonest. He should have pardoned Assange and Snowden right after the electoral college voted and then conceded the election. His concession speech could have talked about the election fraud and the need to work hard to prevent further fraud and asking all of his supporters to go to Georgia to make sure the GOP kept the senate. Had he done that it's unlikely that what happened on January 6th would have happened. Instead narcissist-in-chief let everything continue to be all about him. He gassed his supporters up into thinking they could somehow pressure Mike Pence and the rest of the GOP to somehow give him the election. And so freaking what if the senate "convicts" him? He's already out of office. All that will mean is that they can also vote to bar him from running again. So what? The off chance that you could run again at age 78 is too much of a "sacrifice" for you to do the right thing? Forget him.

Obama wouldn't let Kwame out early but Trump did. Black swamp critter matter! Meanwhile Snowden and Assange were left twisting in the wind. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2021/01/20/kwame-kilpatrick-pardoned-donald-trump-detroit-mayor/4226873001/

I hear ya. I was wondering where you were going with that at first. :p There is some "pretense" though the pretense makes no sense. I listened the other day to CBS news "debunking" Q-Anon by saying there is no pedophile conspiracy in high levels of government. Hello? Dear memory hole? Jeffery Epstein was a real pedophile with a real island with real underage sex slaves on it visited by real powerful people. All of that is just reported in the open. But then Q-Anon went crazy train with trying to convince everyone that Jeffery Epstein's pal, Donald Trump, who bought the Miss Teen USA pageant and then bragged about being able to walk in on the minor girls getting dressed, was somehow the "savior" of sex slaves. Ummmm...that made no freaking sense! I still listen to conspiracy theorists like James Corbett who don't carry Trump water. I did hold out faint hope that Trump would pardon Assange and Snowden. But.....nope. Kwame Kilpatrick, corrupt liberal disgraced former mayor of Detroit, got a pardon though. So....nobody is going to save us. Got it. Agorism for the win! We all need to as individuals learn to live as best we can outside of the system and coordinate with others who share that belief system.

I've been (mostly) subscribing to this philosophy since 2012 when I formally joined the local GOP committee and started working in politics. The conspirators are out there, but does it matter who they are? We can argue it's the Jews or the Vatican or lizards but where does that get us? Candidates don't want volunteers talking about that stuff when door knocking. The Federal Reserve is a real thing we can point to regardless of who's behind it. So although I look into the various powers-that-be theories, that doesn't drive my action. The real threats to me are my neighbors in the "see something say something where's your mask?" world, local "officials" who implement perceived law from on high, and potentially state or federal actors. I've been reaching out to new people to form self-preservation networks since much of my old libertarian/conservative network is all about hiding their faces these days. But I think it's healthy to keep those conspiracies in mind. It doesn't help to get complacent and think a particular action is isolated when it could be part of a coordinated effort towards some kind of goal.

I remember being a stupid child when gas was cheap cheering for the "dollars" wheel to catch up with the "gallons" wheel. My dad was understandably ticked at that. But then the dollars wheel caught up to the gallons wheel...and kept going....and going....

https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/centrist-janet-yellen-supports-a-dollar2-trillion-carbon-tax/ar-BB1bzpFk Janet Yellen, former chairwoman of the Federal Reserve and President-elect Joe Biden's pick for Treasury secretary, has repeatedly pushed for a national carbon tax that would force drivers to pay more at the pump. Joe Biden sitting at a table© Provided by Washington Examiner Glowing reactions from the media to Yellen’s selection paint her as a centrist figure and a compromise choice while ignoring her more extreme positions and taking shots at Republicans. USA Today referred to Yellen as “a centrist and consensus builder” who will work at “persuading recalcitrant Republicans in the Senate.” The Washington Post’s profile of Yellen insisted she is a “pragmatic, mainstream economist” and a policymaking version of “Mary Poppins.” Reading such rave reviews, taxpayers may be surprised to learn of the alleged centrist’s support for a $2 trillion tax on American energy that would raise federal taxes on gasoline by more than 200%. You know what? I hope they do. I hope my liberal friends who drive gas guzzling SUVs are shell shocked by the price at the pump this time next year. Right now gas is at $2.00 a gallon where I live. I hope it goes up to 3 or even 4 dollars a gallon. I'll go back to riding my bike. I'll ask Biden voters "Are you happy now?" As a side note I wonder how antifa will get gas for petrol bombs? Siphon it out of other people's tanks I bet.

I found the mandate. It does not change "policy" into "law." It requires agency heads to follow existing law and enforce CDC guidelines. Most agencies were already following the CDC guidelines anyway. https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/presidential-actions/2021/01/20/executive-order-protecting-the-federal-workforce-and-requiring-mask-wearing/ And yes federal lands are covered so that would include federal parks and national forests. But the current CDC guidelines are vague at best on this. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/cloth-face-cover-guidance.html Prioritize wearing masks indoors and when in close contact with other people, like during group travel or shift meetings. Some localities may require wearing masks in public while outdoors, and these requirements should be followed.

Nothing you said in anyway contradicted what belian78 said. What is 5% of the overall population of Portland? Over 650,000. Take 5% of that and you have 32,500. A mob a quarter of that size, left unchecked, can do a lot of damage. But here's the rub. There are idiots on BOTH sides! And each side uses the other sides idiots to justify further escalation. Both sides need to chill. But neither side will. This is the way things were in Germany in the 1920s and 1930s. The national socialists were battling the international socialists and authoritarianism won.

The national socialists who invaded the capital on January 6th and killed a police officer with a fire extinguisher have a lot more in common with the international socialists who attacked the DNC headquarters in Portland on January 20th than they do with libertarians of any stripe.

Under the old rules if you tried to go into a Federal building without being properly attired, the guard would tell you that you couldn't come in. If you tried to force your way in you would be arrested. I'll bet my Federal stimulus check that the same thing applies under these new rules. If you show up without your mask you will either be offered a mask or told to leave and go get one. I'm far more concerned about the Paris climate deal mentioned in the article you posted than this executive order that we all knew was coming and is by all accounts quite limited anyway. I wish the article actually linked to the EO.

I've posted this a few times already, but it bears repeating: "I hope conservatives are starting to see that the 1st Amendment (which also includes the right to peaceful assembly, like at a holiday dinner) and the 2nd Amendment are red herrings of little use. Technology and gun proliferation are the answer, not the Constitution." -- Michael Malice

What makes you think he couldn't be tried as a civilian even if he isn't convicted by the senate? There is a reason Ford pardoned Nixon even though Nixon was never impeached.
