No. At this point you are just not being honest. I gave you the quotes where Braun said he supported the movement, not the organization. That is the same position Rand Paul took. And you refuse to address the fact that Tucker Carlson is for qualified immunity in general. You want to "bless" someone who thinks the police should be able to brutalize you with impunity. Neither Senator Braun nor Greta Thunberg are even mentioned on that link. Dishonest reporting by you.

Competitors already exist. They don't have to be built. They only have to be used. People with a big enough audience need to move their. And the audience needs to adjust. Hell, look at this place. THE ONLY VIDEOS YOU CAN POST INLINE AT RONPAULFORUMS.COM ARE YOUTUBE VIDEOS! We complain, complain, complain, and can't even do the software fix to offer competition to YouTube here. We're our own "barrier to entry."

There is a solution. Joe Rogan just left YouTube and got paid $100 million to take his podcast exclusively to Spotify. So people who love Rogan will go there. Here's my point. Back when Alex Jones got banned, Stefan should have seen the writing on the wall and diversified his tech portfolio. YouTube is powerful because the people on it make it powerful. Don't wait until you're kicked off to do something. Do something. Every YouTuber that is having issues being demonitized, which is a prelude to deplatforming, should have a snippet at the end of their video that says "And for my premium content go to X" whatever "X" is. Use YouTube to freely advertise its competition. Mirror every YouTube video on another platform and have exclusive content on the other platform. It's not rocket science.

Last thought. I think senator Braun made a tactical error bringing up Rayshard Brooks. I wish he had just talked about Breonna Taylor. She was doing absolutely nothing wrong. She was sitting in her house. The police did a no knock raid on her house. Her boyfriend thought it was a home invasion robbery and exercised his 2nd amendment rights. She was killed in the crossfire. I get why something should have happened in the Rayshard Brooks case. A taser is a less-than-lethal weapon with a limited range and Rayshard was running away. But there's no way to honestly charge the officer with felony murder which is what happened. That's different from the question of suing someone under 1983. And Tucker flat out lied about that point in the interview. Just because officers can be charged criminally doesn't mean they can be sued under 42 USC 1983.

Now here is where I agree with Tucker Carlson. Being against police brutality and supporting the right of someone the police stole $250,000 from to be able to civilly sue the officers doesn't mean you have to support mob violence against innocent bystanders.

Yep. You get it. donnay watch the video at 1;30. Senator Braun is asked if he supports the black lives matter movement not the organization. They are two different things. Then jackass Tucker Carlson @ 2:50 starts talking about "Have you seen their website? Abolish the nuclear family?" Senator Braun. "No not at all. I support anybody who has a grievance to be able to air it. That's it. That doesn't mean all lives don't matter. It just means that if you think a certain sector has a grievance it ought to be debated and there should be a willingness to get it out." Rand Paul was even willing to attend a Black Lives Matter town hall had it been put together. https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/rand-paul-supports-blacklivesmatter-town-hall Anyone who is against police brutality and supports liberty should be p1ssed at Tucker Carlson right now. He's not been a voice of reason to say "Let's deal with police brutality in a reasonable way." Instead he's been a total jackass pushing only one narrative (looters bad...some protestors are looters...therefore all protestors bad) and he's not put forward a single positive idea on police reform. Note that Tucker's lead in is not "We're all against police brutality and something must be done to reign in the bad apples" but rather "The police are under attack and this senator wants to make it easier for liberal organizations to sue police officers." Ummmm....no Tucker. Nothing in the law is specific to "liberal organizations." Clarence Thomas thinks it should be easier to sue bad police officers. George Will thinks it should be easier to sue bad police officers. Rand Paul thinks it should be easier to sue bad police officers. If you make this a "liberal vs conservative" issue you will push people who otheriwise might be conservative into the marxist camp!

You are confused. The senator said he supported the black lives matter movement! He specifically told Tucker Carlson he did not support the black lives matter organisation.. Rand Paul once said he supported black lives matter. He was talking about the movement. Tucker is being a dishonest a$$hole.

Yeah but most the time its your word against theirs and if you cant prove malfeasance without a reasonable doubt you are $#@!ed. The burden of proof is always on the citizen. Lots of police i am sure are good people but they arent the best people. The unions make sure good cops cant get paid more because they will always make more money with more bad cops than fewer quality cops. 2) There are people who support BLM the concept without supporting BLM the organisation.

One extreme is giving a cop the death penalty on what was admittedly a close call. (Though the arrest itself was questionable). The other extreme is allowing cops qualified immunity FOR STEALING! We're not talking about Ron Paul "taxation is theft" stealing. We're talking about cops executing a warrant in your home (and the warrant might be invalid), seeing something they like and just straight up gangsta STEALING it! That...that's what you're defending.

Code Pink is Marxist and is against the Iraq war. Using your logic the Iraq war is a good thing and we should stay there indefinitely. Rand Paul back in 2014 was talking about defunding the police. The police don't need armored personnell carriers to do their job. You aren't thinking clearly about this. Braun should back it. Rand should back Braun's bill. (I bet he already is.) People who support liberty should back both bills. Tyranny has already jumped in. Tyranny = qualified immunity. Tyranny = the police stealing your rare coins and getting away with it because of qualified immunity. You aren't thinking this through.

When a police officer kneels on someone's neck for over 8 minutes until he dies and that person is lying face down in handcuffs that officer should be sued. When an officer goes into a house with a no knock warrant and blindly fires 10 times killing an innocent EMT who's been working overtime taking care of COVID-19 patients he deserves to be sued as well as the person who agreed to the warrant in the first place when the people they were looking for were already in custody and that was the wrong house. One day your civil rights may be violated and you will unable to sue the person who violated them due to qualified immunity then you might wake up and smell the tyranny. BLM isn't wrong on this one.

Do police need armored personal carriers? Rand Paul thinks the answer to that is NO! Remove the military style hardware and all of the training required to use it that that's a major cut in the police budget. This isn't "copsuckers united forums". It's the Ron and Rand Paul forums.

https://reason.com/2020/06/26/tucker-carlson-qualified-immunity-fox-news/ Tucker Carlson Might Want To End Qualified Immunity If He Actually Knew What It Was The Fox News host says reforming qualified immunity would "end law enforcement." That's not even close to being true. BILLY BINION | 6.26.2020 3:16 PM Screen Shot 2020-06-26 at 3.07.45 PM (YouTube) Last night Fox News host Tucker Carlson vigorously defended qualified immunity, the doctrine that allows public officials to avoid federal civil rights lawsuits if the way they violated your rights has not been outlined with exacting detail in previous case law. Carlson offered an alternative definition for his viewers. "Qualified immunity means that cops can't be personally sued when they accidentally violate people's rights while conducting their duties," he said. "They can be sued personally when they do it intentionally, and they often are."

WTF? Tucker is the one being a neocon here. Cops shouldn't have a license to abuse you without civil liability. There's nothing "libertarian" about qualified immunity.

Ummmm....WTF are you talking about? A ban on no knock raids doesn't mean an end to the drug war. It means that when police get ready to kick in someone's door they have to announce who they are first! INNOCENT PEOPLE KEEP GETTING KILLED IN THESE NO KNOCK RAIDS IDIOT! Sometimes the police show up at the wrong house. Sometimes its the right house but the person they are looking for isn't even there. At any rate you have a second amendment right to defend your home if you don't know who's kicking in the door. EVEN POLICE HAVE BEEN KILLED AS A RESULT OF A NO KNOCK RAID! Banning them doesn't "protect" meth users. Meth production turns a house into a toxic waist dump so there's no way to get rid of the evidence. Goodness, the intelligence level on this forum is dropping these days. Edit: She was an EMT and a law abiding citizen. When police did a no knock raid on the wrong house looking for two men that were already in jail, her boyfriend thought they were under a home invasion robbery, got his gun to defend the house, and the jackass cop blindly shot 10 times killing her. If you don't support ending no knock raids go to hell.
