You cannot hunt Africa smaller than .375. Cape buffs are tough. My friend took one with a 416 Rigby. Cavity was some 7 or 9 feet long.

If by "big game" you mean dangerous game, then the double-rifle is the only right answer. The availability of an instant backup shot in the event you pooch the first has meant the difference between life and death more than a few times.

I am yet to be convinced that the choice was in any way accidental. Is fascism not a penultimate form of collectivism?

Necessary to whom? For what valid purpose? Your question presupposes necessity, which implies morality. That assumption, as a generally accepted precept, constitutes über-FAIL. Taxation is a felony, period. It is never moral any more than is raping an infant to death. To discuss this further can only lead to immediate sophistry because there is nothing else that can be relevantly said on the matter.

A $64 question. That fact alone is fairly sad.

The people of this land have sat in idle acceptance and compliance since the first days of the so-called "republic". Where was the spirit of liberty, or has the definition of that term altered over time? Perhaps the relatively loose sense of slavery, the "pretty slavery" that was foisted upon those people in favor of the comparatively tight version of Georgie Rex seemed as true freedom to those people. But what, then, explains the Whiskey Rebellion? Clearly, there were those whose notions of liberty were more in keeping with my own, even in those days. And what of the succeeding generations? Is it only now that we are cluing in to the deeper and more correct philosophical truth regarding the notion of proper human freedom in a context of the derived principles of proper human relations? Perhaps it has just taken this long for the seed of truer liberty to germinate, though the writings of men like Spooner suggest otherwise - a less flattering explanation of why the people of this land have sat in meek obedience for so long. How does taxation, repression, imprisonment, and murder by the so-called "state" constitute "breathing free"? We have been reaping the sow of obedience ever since, and we shall continue to do so until such time as we stand tall and begin acting as adults, rather than idiot children with poor attitudes.

Failure to properly apply does not imply invalidity. This is directed to Collins' query.

Well, if I manage 5% of that, I will be ecstatic. As for thieves, that is a big concern with my 2 acres of bottom on the creek. I just bought an AR10 and have infrared gunsight. My strategy will be to mount motion activated lights where I am able and if I catch someone, run a few rounds of thundering 308 into the ground. Even the tweakers understand that. I do NOT want to have to plug someone... I fear I have enough karma as it is... 1/2 :) I found a 32 x 41 GLASS greenhouse in KY for $7K, replete with everything including gas heater, automatic venting, etc and he will deliver it to my door. It's a lot of money for me at the moment, but I'm thinking this is a must. Steve will establish the mama plants from which we will clone. I'm hoping to squeeze 4K plants into that smallish space, which will cost in terms of shelving. If we can harvest 3/4 of that and sell at a reasonable price with a yield of 1/2# per plant, we should make money. Anything better than that and I will be that much the happier. BTW the greenhouse is made by Rough Brothers, IIRC and retails for $40K new. This thing has everything and I have a gas well so my heating cost is essentially zero. :)

Good idea. Let me see what I can do. UPDATE: Is there any overwhelming objection to using Google groups? I know many dislike giving google business - I am one of them, but in the interest of getting something done... I've been wading through site information for the past 15 minutes or so and my brain is already gone numb. I tried one that says no registration required and simply could not get past the second page in the setup, so I said to hell with it. Barring google, any suggestions?

I find it amazing to consider just how hopelessly corrupt a land we are, and have been for so very long a time when I read things like this. To think not only that some people would dare usurp the authority to remove those which are the most obvious prerogatives of free men, but also that we as a people would

By killing them to eliminate them from the book of immediate and potential future threats to others, including
