Just to put this out there: The Bible says that even Jesus does not know the day or the hour when the end will come.

I'm going to wear my Vanderbilt shirt to work today. Does anyone here think there is any chance Vandy can win today? From what I've seen this year Alabama seems to be slow starting in their games. Vandy scored right off the bat last week and it was the difference in the game. Last season Vandy laid down a very intentional game plan and played a down-to-down game. If they do that today, and if Alabama takes some time getting out of the gate, today might be a very competitive game. Hopefully it will be an injury free game. I report at 2:30 today, and that's game time. The big challenge for me will be not seeing or hearing a score. I'm DVRing the game and want to try to watch it as if.

No on real estate taxes. The value is subjective and fluid. There would have to be one rate for all, and I know my house and yard are not as valuable per acre as someone's in a different part of the country. Furthermore, property is assessed for taxes by someone who has a bested interest in making me pay as much as possible. There is no way to make the process impartial.

Trump is doing what Trump does: giving a starting point for the deal. This is always his filter. He knows no other way.

Of course he's networking. He has to have connections to get someone to help him raise money, and we both know the Republican Party of Davidson County won't do it.

I get what you're saying, but I am trying to give you the other side of the coin. There is a predatory aspect to a man's sexuality. It can be a good thing if he is marriage ready by the time he is an adult, but to a man who has not learned how to handle the responsibilities of a man, it is a deadly thing. I do not mean to be hurtful to any of you, please understand that. I am just observing trends, and I think the lack of real fathering has led to a society that sees the need for regulation of behavior that should have been handled in the family.

I want to add that a lot of people in our area did a lot of downsizing and off-grid living because they were afraid of Y2K. Yes, they did. Turns out they were ridiculous, but there you go. They are now stuck with buckets of food they would never eat, hundreds of jars of water, a mobile home or whatever they can't sell, and a lot of traveling to and fro to get to basic necessities like fuel, medical care, and groceries. I had a friend who was panicking and needed to buy a bike in case she needed to get her kids to medical during Y2K. I'm like, "Hon, you own two horses and a doctor lives right down the street." Plus, if Y2K became a reality, she would not have had access to actual hospitals or medical facilities because they would all be down. The moral of the story is don't go crazy thinking about things that are totally out in left field.

I think it's good that you are looking forward for an investment. I'm just putting out ideas for you to consider based on the life experience we have had. We live in a 960sf home and raised a child and several pets here. It's good for us, and we can have a little bit of company, but it can be a challenge to have all the grandchildren here at once. Not every woman wants to be that isolated--especially if there are kids that might need medical care pronto. I would not want to have to drive 45 min to the grocery store, you know? We are very accustomed to urban living. We have a decent size yard and can reach any point in the county in 30 min or less. My time is a valuable resource.

Of course, but of the Rand Paul stripe. He's interesting. In the part of the interview I heard, he used the word "conservative" as in conservative application of government, meaning limited government. He has had a lot of opportunity to hone his message, and he sounds like someone who can win. We haven't had a Dem senator since Gore, Jr. Oddly, a few years ago a Democrat ran for the TN House in the Clarksville district. He was more conservative and liberty minded than any Republican on the ticket. He won the primary, but the Dems took him off the ballot and replaced him with the incumbent. Go figure.

I know, but I hope you hear what I'm saying. In my home a strange man might find himself staring down the business end of something he didn't plan on, but it's a different story in a strange train station with a man I have never met before.

There is a new guy coming up who is running for Bob Corker's seat. His name is Andy Ogles. Native Middle Tennessean, likes Rand Paul. Activism seems to be part of his DNA. He has been active as part of Americans for Prosperity and would really like to get with it on debt, budget, and limited government. I heard him on talk radio today and I will be watching him. Corker was not my choice when he ran, so it sounds like Ogles might be a gigantic improvement.

If you plan to stay single, go for it. It might be a good way to have an investment you can afford. On the other hand, if you plan to marry and have children, it might not be a good idea. My daughter, sil, and their four children lived in a 900 sf apartment in NYC. Not a good way to cook for 6 people in that setting or do home school, or have more than one on the potty at the time--most critical when potty training a child. Men seem to like the throne time, so keep that in mind. You might be able to find an actual small house in a sparsely populated area for about what some tiny houses cost. Just think about that, and think about how customized you would need it to be. You are a musician and a tiny house would not give you much space for your instruments and other electronic support. Certainly no room for social music or having a relationship.

I really get it about the censorship and hate crime and blah, blah, blah. I get it. But I really hope you all don't do that. Men have no idea how their size and physical presence can overwhelm even the most assertive woman. I have no problem ignoring the whistle or whatever, but I would have a big problem with a strange man chasing me from train to train to ask for my phone number. If a woman wants to meet him, she would have responded after the whistle. A 1-in-a-million chance doesn't mean you have a chance and probably shouldn't risk it. A whistle might be a compliment. Anything more is aggressive.

Some of you are so into the Trump hating you have no idea what is going on here. Trump is throwing out the most outrageous thing he can think of because he is willing to deal down. It is his consistent game plan, and I can't believe some people are not catching on.

Zip, have you not been watching North Korea shoot bombs toward Japan? Pal, that's about as clear a threat as can be made anywhere. Granted North Korea is pretty small potatoes, but not when you look at the leviathan that is China just to the north. I cannot imagine that the people who surround and protect him see that impotent little worm as any kind of world power. There is something else propping him up. The sabre rattling has to stop. Kim Jong Un is a pernicious little turd, and he needs to cut it out.

How many of the UN ambassadors are now living lifestyles that would be in any way sustainable in their home nations? These people are like the US Congress with less accountability. They are doing their best to funnel money to themselves and to the people who appoint them, and they do not give a flying fig about what happens back home. For once they have heard some truth. And other nations, North Korea included, need to stop making threats unless they want those threats answered in real terms. I'm a nonaggressor, but when someone keeps lobbing bombs our way, they need to understand that there will be a response, and a big one.

Vanderbilt may not look to have much of a chance over the next four weeks, but they typically play quite well against Florida and they beat Georgia last year. Vanderbilt seems to be taking some risks. Hopefully there will be some payoff for them.

This is why Paul Ryan and Mitch and all the rest need to lay aside their petty foolishness and deal with the President. Trump went up there to get stuff done, and he's going to deal with whoever comes to the table.
