Jacob Hornberger has a nice commentary at the Ron Paul Institute: DEA officials lied to Congress about an episode in Honduras in which DEA agents killed innocent people. … the DEA killings of those innocent people raise an important question: Under what constitutional authority does the DEA or any other U.S. official wage the drug war in Honduras or any other foreign country? … In fact, I don’t see anything in the Constitution that empowers them to enact drug laws here at home? Do you? … Why aren’t those DEA officials who lied to Congress being criminally prosecuted for lying to Congress? …

Inspector General Report: DEA Officials Repeatedly Lied to Congress to Cover up DEA Murder of Four Unarmed Civilians in Honduras From The Intercept: THE DRUG ENFORCEMENT ADMINISTRATION repeatedly lied to Congress about fatal shooting incidents in Honduras, including the killing of four civilians during a DEA-led operation, according to a devastating 424-page report released today by the inspectors general for the State and Justice departments… the DEA withheld information from the U.S. ambassador in Honduras, passed incorrect information up the chain of command, repeatedly misrepresented the U.S. role as an adviser in what was actually a U.S.-led operation, recruited an informant to back up the DEA’s version of events and then stuck by the informant’s story despite its “inconsistent and contradictory accounts.” … the DEA falsely characterized the deaths of four Hondurans as a shootout with drug traffickers despite proof on video that DEA-led forces fired on unarmed civilians. … “The victims of this crime still await justice,” …

Notes on why the archaic MSM being supplanted by alternative media: Do you wonder why the legacy media are such puzzled otherworldly twits? ... Some thoughts from a guy who spent a career in the racket: Ask journalists when they were last in a truck stop on an Interstate, last in Boone, North Carolina or Barstow, California or any of thousands of such towns across the country. Ask whether they were in the military, whether they have ever talked to a cop or an ambulance crewman or a fireman. Ask whether they have a Mexican friend, when they last ate in a restaurant where a majority of the customers were black. Whether they know an enlisted man, or anyone in the armed services. Whether they have hitchhiked overnight, baited a hook, hunted, or fired a rifle. Whether they have ever worked washing dishes, harvesting crops, driving a delivery truck. Whether they have a blue-collar friend. Know what the Texas Two-Step is, have been in a biker bar. ... Next, ask how many went to fancy schools like Oberlin, Swarthmore, Amherst, the Ivies, Bard. Ask how many even know someone who graduated from a land-grant school. Ask whether they know an engineer.

Eric Margolis provides sharp commentary at LRC: Trump’s tirade against Tehran was delivered in Saudi Arabia, a feudal monarchy that holds no elections, cuts off the heads of some 80-90 people annually, and treats women like cattle. While claiming to be the leader of the Muslim world, the Saudi royal family funds mayhem and extreme Muslim obscurantism through the region. The current wave of primitive violence by some self-professed Muslims – ISIS being the leader – was originally funded and guided by the Saudis in a covert struggle to combat revolutionary Iran. ... Iran has the freest political system in the Mideast (except for Israel). Iranian women have rights and political freedoms that are utterly unknown in Saudi Arabia. Iran just held a fair and open national election in which moderates won. Compare this to Saudi Arabia’s medieval Bedouin society. ... Today, US and British equipped Saudi forces are laying waste to wretched Yemen, the Arab world’s poorest nation. As a result of a Saudi air, land and sea blockade, the UN now reports that famine has gripped large parts of Yemen. US and British technicians are keeping the Saudi air force flying; the US and Britain supply the bombs. President Trump arrived with a bag of $110 billion worth of arms, and a promise of $350 billion worth over ten years. ... the Saudis have bought warehouses of US arms in exchange for keeping oil prices low and fronting for US interests ...

I hope they get everything. There are a lot of very strange peculiarities in the way it has been handled so far. The official investigators certainly have some explaining to do. If this is just a random robbery (where nothing was taken) turned assassination style murder as the official story proclaims, then: Why did the police go to Seth's home and steal his laptop and lock it away never to be released? What does that have to do with a completely random robbery? Why has all the body camera footage of the first three responding officers disappeared? Where is it? Release it. Why were his social media accounts wiped? And while they were very particular to go and steal Seth's laptop, why did they not go and get the security camera footage from the bar Seth was at that night? And the route to his home is laden with CCTV cameras. Why did they not go and get the footage from those cameras if it is a random (non) robbery turned assassination style murder. Yet they were sure to go to his home and steal his personal computer.

Is this a for real question? Does one really need to ask this question? Does anyone really need such remedial level of explaining the obvious? One need not be the sharpest tool in the shed to be able to see what is blatantly staring one in the face. Is there anyone one that truly cannot see the difference between releasing massive gigabytes of actual raw documentation disclosed in total to the entire world to expose deep state government corruption and crime, versus carefully selected rumors without documentation, specially picked in order to consolidate and enable deep state forces to circumvent electoral and constitutional restraints, dictate and control government policy, and sabotage diplomatic efforts that run contra to the MIC/surveillance state complex. Is this a total dump of massive amounts of actual government documents and files released in entirety to for instance Wikileaks, in the spirit of total transparency for the American people to expose corruption and crimes at the highest levels of government? Or is it instead very limited handpicked hearsay rumors (that is all they are no less), with no documents released at all, “leaked” to selected pro-deep state, pro-war pro-interventionists neocon “news” outlets to publish paraphrased renditions of the rumors in carefully framed propaganda spin. And leaked not for the purpose of total transparency for the American people and exposing government and deep state shenanigans, but rather to sabotage any progress towards diplomacy, peace, and trade with certain other nations, and instead enable deep state power coup to consolidate alphabet agency control over government policy and activities, thwarting the constitutional and electoral safeguards, and to promote interventionist schemes, warring, overseas military expansion and domestic total surveillance. These deep state selected rumors (that is all that is presented, not leaked government documents) are not transparency at all. They are just tiny carefully selected chosen rumors to sabotage diplomatic efforts, subvert presidential policy, and replace it with secretive agencies' desires to escalate tensions, and provoke conflict, and risking nothing as their identifies are protected by the intelligence community.

At some point, the citizens will take up the defense of their property and fellow citizens. That's when things should get interesting. Keep importing these savages and they will purged in short order. I personally think they shouldn't be the savages we're focused on, but that's the predicament thrown on our doorstep. It's tough to keep an up-to-date priority list of savages in the world.
