Ron Paul has no right to criticize Trump escalating war all over the world for no particular reason whatsoever because Ron Paul once voted for force against people he believed were responsible for killing 3,000 Americans. /sarcasm (PS. Just in case your sarcasm meter is broken I was being sarcastic. Sadly, though, there are people on this forum that think that way.)

I'm considering a situation where the FBI lacked probable cause to get a warrant but wanted to go on a fishing expedition. But FISA courts have been quite lax so that's probably not likely.

Ummmm....okay. Not sure what your point is but okay. Argue on friend....argue on. My point is simple. Company A selling consumer B's private information to company C is a different scenario from Company A selling something to consumer B who sells it to consumer C.

I'm all for free markets. My point is that you have to compare apples to apples. Company A selling product to consumer B who then resells the product is one thing. company A selling product to consumer B and then selling consumer B's private information to company C is something altogether different. You have to look at correct analogies to come to correct conclusions. Now, let's look at company A selling consumer B's private information to company C. Sure, consumer B can decide "screw company A" and go with company D. But how is consumer B going to know that his private information is being sold? Surely company A would have a strong incentive to keep that information hidden from the consumer to avoid loss of business while at the same time selling consumer B's information. One way around this would be to require companies to get permission before selling data. Now the ISPs' argument was "Well Facebook gets to sell customer data so why can't we?" But guess what Facebook does when you sign up? It requires you to agree to a privacy policy statement. That statement says how they plan to use your private data. Most people don't read it. Guess what? The ISPs could do the same thing. Most people would just blindly click "yes" and opt in without blinking an eye. You need high speed internet right? So....what were the ISPs really complaining about? What "freedom" has been protected? Oh...and on the flipside I suppose a private watchdog group could try to find out clandestinely which ISPs buy your private information and which don't by trying to buy the information themselves. Anyway, from how I see it, this is much ado about nothing. If you don't assume your ISP, the NSA, major corporations and even decent hackers have access to much of your private information then you haven't been paying attention to anything Edward Snowden and others have had to say.

Angels dancing on the head of pin. You have no fucking privacy, in this modern nightmare world, haven't had any in at least twenty years now. And of course, without privacy, without being free in your own home, on your own property, at the very least, to say and do and think whatever you want, you have no freedom either. What's so sad and frustrating is watching AmeriKunts fall all over themselves to be first in line to buy the chains they enslave themselves with. Festoon your home with wireless security cameras that any decent hacker or government goon can tap into? Sure!

Six jobs are eliminated for every robot introduced into the workforce, a new study says https://www.recode.net/2017/3/28/15094424/jobs-eliminated-new-robots-workforce-industrial New research released from the National Bureau of Economic Research yesterday shows that between 1990 and 2007, when one or more industrial robots were introduced into the workforce, it led to the elimination of 6.2 jobs within a local area where people commute for work. The report, which was authored by economists Daron Acemoglu of MIT and Pascual Restrepo of Boston University, found that the wages of workers also declined slightly as a result of robots entering the U.S. economy. Wages dropped between 0.25 percent and 0.50 percent per 1,000 employees when one or more robots came into the picture.

Please do, I'm curious myself. My understanding of how USC 1001 is being applied and prosecuted these days is that any statement, given to any public official or agency of law enforcement, in person or in writing, that can proved to be, in fact, false, regardless of intent, regardless of actual knowledge and regardless of immateriality, is taken as prima facie evidence of a USC 1001 violation.

I'm not saying they don't. I was simply cleaning up a false analogy. Dannno's analogy would apply to someone who bought internet service from an ISP having the right to put up wireless hospot and sell access to it without the ISPs permission. What's at stake is the ISP reselling information garnered from use of their product. Two entirely different things. Now at some point a company shouldn't have the right to sell images of you without your permission. Here's a good example. Say if a department store puts cameras in changing rooms to prevent shop lifting. Should they have the automatic right to sell those pictures/videos? I would say no. Maybe you think otherwise?

I do that with the Google image search feature. (Look up wildflowers) Just tested your idea by Googling an image on Craigslist and then running it through Google shopping. Yes its doable. If you wanted to build this as a web app I do that. We apps can be turned into phone apps using Phonegap. I'd be happy to work with you on this as I have time. Regardless i won't steal your million dollar idea. I'm already working on a few of my own. ;)

What is sensible at this point about keeping troops in Iraq for years? Seriously, you want to defend that position as being sensible in 2017? Okay. Go right ahead. Using your logic then there is no reason to ever criticize anything Obama ever did because someone could argue "Well he did what he thought was sensible." Obamacare. "Trying to take care of people who can't afford healthcare is sensible." Climate change initiatives. "Many scientists say CO2 is destroying the planet so Obama trying to do something about it is sensible." Now here's a question for you. How is posting a thread showing where Trump did something I disagreed with "freaking out?" If Ron Paul did something I disagreed with I would post it. So far he hasn't. And yes that includes the vote to take out Osama Bin Laden. Taking out an enemy that directly attacked us makes sense. Does it not make sense to you? Had you been in congress would you have voted to do nothing? Ron didn't vote for an indefinite stay in Afghanistan and nation building but that's what Bush did anyway. You want to attack Ron on that vote, well how would you have voted? In this case the alternative is easy to see. We don't need to be involved in Iraq when the Iraqi forces already had ISIS on the run. The first thing we need to do to stop ISIS is to stop funding groups affiliated with ISIS. Tulsi Gabbard has a bill in congress right now to do that. So Trump has a really good opportunity to get behind something that would actually stop ISIS. Why hasn't he? Instead of going after me for what you apparently think is hypocrisy, why aren't you tweeting your hero Trump to support real change? Okay. I will ask you a question. When are you going to stop sleeping with your sister? See. I just asked a question. I didn't make a statement. Sometimes statements are made by asking question. And you made a dishonest statement with your fake question. It's the false choice fallacy.

I'm at work and had it on. Customer saw who it was and said I shouldn't have political commentary on while at work. I politely told them it's the going away address from a man that had been serving for over 30 years, and there was no way I wouldn't be watching. She stayed for a few minutes when Ron was talking about militarism. LOL

I wanted to eat somewhere local, because you can eat at a chain any ole day. We had a few drinks, but we were back in the Hotel by 8pm....and...uh....really enjoyed the rest of the night.
