Go back and read what I wrote. ASSUMING he does, it will be temporary unless we become the sorts who will not hesitate to execute those who violate. We're the only hope for America, and at this juncture it's not looking good.

Barring wildly blatant election chicanery, Trump will be the next POTUS. Given certain assumptions, he will improve the American condition. Let us even assume he vastly improves our overall circumstance in ways may of us would not have expected. It's not enough. Without a fundamental sea change in the way Americans think and choose to act as political creatures, anything Trump accomplishes will ultimately count for naught because the next Democrat or other fellow traveler of the left to gain the seat will do asd Biden has: he will undo it to whatever degree pleases him or his handlers. We don't need leaders nearly as much as we need to become the guardians of our own freedoms and all the rights that follow therefrom. We need to understand freedom properly, decide that it is what we want, and then adopt an posture of absolute and grim intolerance of even the most seemingly trivial and innocuous violation of a man's rights. We must be willing to impose upon the guilty, draconian punishments not just as the price they exact upon themselves in consequence for their felonious actions, but as a stark reminder to all comers what awaits those who take up the mantle of the Public Trust and then betray. America's salvation cannot come from Trump, but only from us.

Cute. My point was that I hope that he follows up in resolving at least some of the corruption. To do that though, he is going to need a Congress that wants same. Yeah, I know, it probably won’t happen.

The only jurors standing opposed to what the majority wanted were 2 women; me and a young woman. All the men in the jury, and this was quite a few years ago, were weak-minded, limp appendages. I detest DEI. Job requirements are job requirements and the job should be given according to merit. No excuses, no shortcuts, nada.

Even if he gets elected, it is only 4 years. He damn sure had better clean house and prosecute those in government unconstitutionally spying on Americans, trampling on the 1st Amendment and Fauci and Birx, et al.

And they arenít real conservatives, either. Try to remember that it was traditional conservatives who became frustrated and started the Libertarian Party. I am a traditional conservative and I am a polar opposite to a ďsocial conservativeĒ, a Rockefeller-Republican or a Neocon.

I saw on X that they are pretty sure that the brunette woman behind Trump who was using her phone to take pictures, immediately after the first shots were made, was FBI. Have no idea if it is true, but she sure resembles the picture shown.

Even in Texas, it is now illegal to have the Juror’s Bill of Rights anywhere close to a courthouse. Apparently, they don’t want people to understand that you don’t have to follow the Judge’s dictates and that you can find someone innocent if you think a bad law is being used to prosecute them. Years ago, before this was changed, and I was a juror in both a civil and criminal trial, I handed that thing out like crazy! What was a bit surprising to me was how subservient most of the jurors were. Even to get part of a testimony read back to us; the Judge had admonished us not to do that. But, they wouldn’t give us hard copy either. There was a point in our deliberation where we disagreed on what was said. So I said we needed to ask for this part to be read. Most were like… oh no, the judge said not to. I expressed that I didn’t care and you wouldn’t believe all the gaping mouths. We did get it done, but it showed me how important it was to not get out of jury duty and to just do it. Because the people who are showing up, sure aren’t our peers.

That and more conservative types focused on other areas, while marxists largely took over higher education. Then the people they trained became the teachers in grade schools on up. So, public schools appear to be Marxist training centers now.

Rand tried that once. Remember? And it was pretty bad. He would have had to get a lot of training to get more charisma or something. I hate it, but he just didnít come across well. He is by far the best Senator up there, at least since Barry Goldwater in his younger years. But Rand is even better. I am thankful that he is still there.

The point is that we won’t be the ones using it. While I agree with more drilling, I would prefer to be the ones using it. We are not at a risk of running out of oil, but is there a point we should be concerned with shipping most of it to other countries? Talking about the drilling on “federal land”.

Oh, I agree. Totally. But, so many people, outside of this forum, seem to think it is the federal government who is the only government in existence and needs to make all laws. A one size fits all.

:nauseated: I have no issue with them letting gay people or whatever on the SS. As long as they meet the physical and mental requirements. Being gay or whatever should not be used as a bypass for the requirements mentioned though, and that appears to be what is happening.

Have you checked recently how much of the U.S. is “federal land”? There is a ton! That is my issue. There should be very, very little federal land. Currently, they are allowing illegal aliens to camp on and destroy it anyway. ‘https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/congress/white-house-rejects-republican-bill-block-housing-migrants-federal-lan-rcna126837

The state of Texas has dealt with online porn by demanding they make everyone prove their age before giving them access. It seems to have gotten their attention. Not everything was meant to be dealt with at the federal level. I am not against this. If I don’t like it, I can move to a different state; just like our Founders intended. Plus, changing a bad law locally or at the state law is one heck of a lot easier than changing it at the federal level.

I wholeheartedly agree. But, the limp appendage or sold out Republicans aren’t going to do it. And Rand and Thomas cannot do it alone. Possibly, if enough of their constituents contacted their offices to insist, they might worry about getting re-elected and might do something. It is hard to even get people to send an email or leave a voicemail though.

I agree. When RP was in Congress, he had a weekly class as I recall. Is Rand keeping that going? Mises isn’t in DC, so is there anyone gently challenging Vance’s beliefs? Not everyone is evil; most just don’t have the information yet. And most aren’t going to listen if the approach is to insult them, say they need to read a bunch of books, or try to feed them with a firehose.

No one is leading us around. We have no liberty candidate to vote for and we likely won’t unless more good people educate themselves and run for office. Meantime, the boat is about to sink and I would like to keep it afloat long enough until we do have someone we want to vote for. If the boat completely sinks, we aren’t going to have that opportunity. And no, I don’t believe if that we completely crash that the good guys will spring up like a phoenix. In fact, I think they WANT us to crash. People will be panicked and they will accept a world currency and world government, immediately. You want someone good to vote for; so do I. How are we going to get more Thomas Massies? Why don’t you do as he did and run for local office?

Why is drilling our own oil en masse seen to be a great thing? It is almost if people think that this all will be kept in the U.S. But oil is sold on the global market. What am I missing?

Nonsense. Much better to have a kneejerk reaction to the invasion which we know was financed by both Trump and Biden, and be led around like a dog on a leash because their game is frightening us.

I am just getting over some respiratory crud, but doing well all and all. Yeah, this LaVoy Finicum is tragic. Alex Jones has reporters up there right now, and they are trying to get in to talk with the militia to try to get them out unharmed.
