Because that was a lie.
And all of us liberty minded, laisse faire, live and let live folks, were suckered.
We swallowed that shit, hook, line and sinker, myself included.
It was never about people privately living their lives as they saw fit.
It was always about normalizing the most disgusting and bizarre perversions known since Sodom and Gomorrah, the idiotic idea that two men were "husband and wife" and must, by law, under penalty of prison, be regarded as such, was just as absurd and just as potent a Marxist mind fuck as it is to be forced, by law, to address the fat man in a dress with chemically grown tits as "ma'am".
America in 2024...a "they/them" dressed in a dog costume telling all of us what is crazy or not.

The border is wide open, how are gun makers supposed to control that?
What would the Mexican Marxists say if 1 million armed citizen militiamen showed up with their guns and closed the border?
Rhetorical questions of course, this is nothing but more lawfare.
Awesome, love some Scott Joplin.
Another ragtime, boogie woogie favorite of mine is Meade Lux Lewis.
Fun fact: he has an uncredited minor role as the piano player in Martini's bar in the alternate Pottersville universe that George Baily and Clarence Oddbody get thrown out of.
I recall a similar situation...it wasn't murder but it was a small plane crash that severely injured the pilot and passenger.
It may even be in this thread, I can't recall.
But they crashed in a black neighborhood, and I recall that, instead of rendering aid or trying to put out the small fire or presumably even calling 911, they hollered and hooted, everyone recording with their sail fawns, and a women who approached the passenger who had been ejected and was crumpled on the ground about ten feet from the wreck and her saying "OOO! Shit!!! OOO! He leaking! OOO! OOO! He leaking!!"
And my first thought was, my God, must that be the last thing I see or hear on this earth?
There was one cop I felt sorry for. Every time he went around a curve, his Plymouth turned into a Pontiac or vice versa. Can you imagine being in the middle of a curve and your cop spec Torsion-Aire suspension turns into four squishy coils with a four-link nightmare out back? Talk about pucker factor!
Back to television.
Epic 70s movie
I'll stand by for acptulsa to crack wise about what a lowbrow I am.
When you think about it though, this is probably one of the most anti-authority movies ever made.
From top to bottom, nothing but a bunch of blue collar Robin Hoods and working class heroes making jackasses out of every cop in the south over some chicken shit, penny ante bootlegging law.
RIP Jerry, Jackie and Burt.
I don't know why it never occurred to me before. But while we may have more different things we burn fuel to do than ever before, we use it more efficiently than ever before. We do more, but we also do more with less.
I don't suppose there's any way to quantify that...
LOL, I was watching the opening and thinking...wait, Uhuru and Spock's stations on the bridge on are the starboard side, not the port.
Then I saw the titles.

governments should be afraid of their people.
In times of change, the Patriot is a scarce man; brave, hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, however, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a Patriot.
