My company won’t reimburse expenses with alcohol, unless I our our VPs approve it. Entertaining a customer? Sure. Going out with your co-workers after a job in the field and having a few rounds? Nope. Not paying for that. Granted, a bit different (red meat won’t get you drunk and isn’t an immediate liability), but still the rules. Don’t like it, leave or start your own company.

I think if I joined a country club, I’d feel obligated to use the membership and try to convince myself it was worth the purchase. I like the freedom of not being tied to a membership/club. If I want to golf or workout or go on vacation, I’ll do that. No need to be tied into some time share plan or yearly fee. Don’t get me wrong, I can see the benefits of these things - and I’ve been to plenty of country clubs as a member’s guest and it can be quite nice - it’s just not for me and I’m too cheap. YMMV

ghengis86 replied to a thread Help! in Personal Prosperity There looks to be a lot of low-skill jobs available. I would go in person after filing out any online app and just be persistent. Do you have an inability to get to a job? Is transportation and/or lack of DL limiting it? I would say that after getting through this rough patch, resolving the technicality of “suspension” on your license would be a next step. I have an employee that had a suspended license for two years bc he didn’t pay off tickets/fines/etc. he finally got around to it and now he’s saving money from having his wife take him to work and back each day. You’ll get through this, just be persistent, sincere and don’t take no for an answer!

Leftovers from yesterday: Italian sausage, chicken legs/things, 1/3 pound burgers, corn of the cob, all beef hot dogs... Clearly not the same as off the grill, but still darn good. (Still have a dozen sweet corn and TWO watermelons we haven’t touched! 30+ people and they all brought more than enough!)

How many of you have raised multiple children, from birth to adulthood, especially those who’ve offered an opionn?

Nah. Deck stacked against you? Sure. Screwed? Not entirely I’ve seen a couple zeroes score 7-10’s. Very rare, but it happens. Takes a lot of charisma and confidence, but it happens. You have a chance!

Most guys don’t like those super skinny models. I know I don’t. Fit with curves is the ideal body type. Some like thicker...some are downright deranged and like the land whales. Fat, like that SI swimsuit behemoth, is not beautiful. And just as young women shouldn’t be bombarded with images of super thin, anorexic models and told that’s the standard for beauty, they shouldn’t be told that weighing a metric ton is OK either. Being fat is a symptom of some other problem, usually emotional or past trauma. I haven’t hired a fat person yet. Not that I wouldn’t if there were one who excelled at their trade, I just haven’t run across that yet. The amount that fat people fuck up your insurance pool is unreal. A couple fatties with diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, hip/knee problems, etc can drive up insurance for everyone, even with 100+ employees in the group. And, if you don’t have the self control to limit what you put in your mouth or the discipline to maintain a healthy life - your one life, this gift we are given - how can I trust you with something infinitely less important, like making sure customers are invoiced properly? Fat is not only not beautiful, but it is unhealthy and something that should not be normalized.

Whoa I love that Garand ... I was wondering what type of scope You are using. I have a M1A scout and I learned the hard way that its not designed for a scope. The best I can probably hope for is to put a pistol scope on the front rail.
