Dr. Paul, Rep. Finstad Introduce Resolution to Repeal Harmful FDA Rule Limiting Access to Laboratory Developed Tests WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Wednesday, U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) introduced a resolution under the Congressional Review Act (CRA) to repeal Medical Devices: Laboratory Developed Tests (LDTs), a rule that was recently finalized by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The final rule, published May 6th, seeks to impose burdensome regulations on the creation and implementation of laboratory developed tests (LDTs), limiting patients’ access to critical diagnostic testing. Additionally, these tests are already regulated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and Congress has never given the FDA the authority to regulate lab tests. U.S. Congressman Brad Finstad (MN-01) introduced the resolution in the U.S. House of Representatives today. Lab tests are often the only or most reliable option available within the U.S. healthcare system that provide timely results to patients with rare diseases and conditions. Specifically, implementation of FDA’s rule would: Hinder the development and deployment of new and improved lab-developed tests.

Rep. Massie Introduces Federal Reserve Board Abolition Act to "End the Fed" WASHINGTON, D.C.- Representative Thomas Massie (R-KY) announces the introduction of H.R. 8421, the Federal Reserve Board Abolition Act. Rep. Massie's legislation abolishes the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve and the Federal Reserve banks. It also repeals the Federal Reserve Act, the 1913 law that created the Federal Reserve System. "Americans are suffering under crippling inflation, and the Federal Reserve is to blame," said Rep. Massie. "During COVID, the Federal Reserve created trillions of dollars out of thin air and loaned it to the Treasury Department to enable unprecedented deficit spending. By monetizing the debt, the Federal Reserve devalued the dollar and enabled free money policies that caused the high inflation we see today."

Representative Massie Introduces Bill to Allow Interstate Traffic of Raw Milk Washington, D.C.- Representative Thomas Massie (R-KY) announces the introduction of H.R. 8374, the Interstate Milk Freedom Act. This bill prohibits federal interference with the interstate traffic of unpasteurized milk and milk products that are packaged for direct human consumption. "Executive branch agencies, such as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), do not and should not have the power to shut down trade between peaceful farmers and willing consumers," said Rep. Massie. "It is Congress's job to legislate. The Interstate Milk Freedom Act would make it easier for families to buy the milk of their choice by reversing the criminalization of specific dairy farmers."

Anarchy is the same as democracy: mob-rule. The problem with anarchy is that it fails to take into account human nature and the fact that there are predatorial humans who will prey on other humans. Government really only has 2 jobs: providing justice and upholding contracts / securing individual rights. Granted it doesn't do that very well.

RFK would fund them as well, because it would be contained in a giant omnibus bill that had something in it that he wants passed.

So what is the other issue you believe RFK is better on than Trump besides Covid/Pharma?

Covid seems to be the only issue you have with RFK > Trump... and we don't even know how RFK would handle a pandemic. I would bet he would be pressured into doing as much or more than Trump in the heat of the media blaming him for every single death that occurred.. that's what they did to Trump.

We've sent, what nearly $200 billion to Ukraine? You're complaining about $3.6 billion spent on our country during a pandemic that the media clearly over-inflated, for the sole purpose of getting rid of Trump, in his attempt to create a cure. I don't agree with it, but if the people voted they would have voted overwhelmingly to spend the money to create a cure, and Trump needed to get re-elected. Had he succeeded, which he did succeed if you remove the cheating, it would have been fully worth having him in office compared to Biden. Look at where we are at now. And again with the lockdown... Do I agree with it? No.. But again, it was just a guideline... and two weeks of lockdowns was not the most unreasonable position to have, until we figured out what was going on. It was the YEARS of lockdowns, school closures, mandates and bullshit by governors that was the problem. By the end of the two weeks, Trump was already promoting cheap and inexpensive cures to Covid, which the media twisted and told everybody he was promoting dangerous drugs. Within a month or two, Trump was already yelling at governors and telling them to open back up their businesses and open the schools. I'm not defending everything he did, just that it isn't that egregious or unreasonable compared to what actually happened, and you are blowing it completely out of proportion... and you are using this as a single issue to promote a candidate who is way out of line with our views on 80% of the rest of the topics, from abortion to economics and energy.

^^Probably just a brain worm J/k... I don't want to make fun of the guy for that. His comeback on the debates on X about having 5 brainworms and still beating Biden and Trump was pretty fire to be honest. I really like him on a lot of issues, but he is making Trump look to be a Predictable Patty in comparison with some of his views coming out.. If it were Romney vs. Biden, RFK would be a no brainer. I just don't see what the benefits of RFK are over Trump. Even on Covid and vaccines, that's a pretty minor difference. Trump was for 2 weeks of lockdowns, and those were just guidelines to the states... the governors are the ones who mandated it, took it to the extreme while Trump was trying to get everything opened back up, and Trump was very much opposed to forcing people to get vaccinated.

Dr. Rand Paul Introduces Local News and Broadcast Media Preservation Act WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Wednesday, U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) introduced the Local News and Broadcast Media Preservation Act which would give local broadcasters and newspapers much-needed relief from outdated government restrictions that are currently threatening their ability to succeed in an evolving media environment. “With the rise of social media and an ever-changing media landscape, it is imperative that our local newspapers and broadcasters are given the freedom to adapt. My Local News and Broadcast Media Preservation Act gets government out of the way and frees broadcast media from the chains that restrict their ability to better serve their customers,” said Dr. Paul. The Local News and Broadcast Media Preservation Act would exempt print, broadcast, and digital news organizations from federal antitrust laws to allow them to compete with and negotiate with national tech companies. Additionally, the legislation would allow local broadcast companies to merge without government interference to allow those broadcasters to better compete against these tech giants.

It's called "the zipper". That's how you merge. Similar thing happened to me a few months ago. Two lanes down to one on the highway, speed limit 65mph, everything came to a stop at the merge. I was in the left lane, merging into the right lane, no rush. However, it happened that the left lane ended up being less crowded, we were all going at full speed a few seconds earlier.. so inevitably I ended up passing some people in the right lane waiting. I got in position to "zipper" in, car in front of me getting behind Car 1, in front of Car 2, I line up behind Car 2 to merge in. Car 3 is some angry young hot blond chick, looks over and yells and flips me off. So I just got behind her, let 2 cars in front of me.
