How many? And yes I'm aware of the evidence you presented.. I'm not convinced it was LIHOP, but I do agree there is circumstantial evidence. I've heard claims from your side that there were hundreds of casualties as a result of IDF actions, but there was only evidence of one or two, which were reported by Israel media. I still think my analogy is fitting, in fact it swerves in your favor, because as far as I can tell, the only reason the security system went down was a power outage. But in the case of LIHOP, the analogy is the literal definition. You're now trying to push it further into a MIHOP where Israel significantly increased increased the amount of deaths, while simultaneously significantly reducing the number of hostages. Do you realize there are still US hostages in Gaza?? It's been over a year. Do you understand what happens if they don't deploy the Hannibal option? Don't they have to assume every vehicle they want to bomb is carrying a hostage? If they raid some guys with guns in a building with a hostage, does that mean they go in and start shooting rather than get a bullhorn out and start negotiating? This is war, they need to kill the terrorists and get on to the next group of terrorists so they can save lives.

You're confusing multiple things there. Nice try though: https://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/strawman I don't think so, but even if true, so what? Languages change over time and communication forms evolve. That's been human history since day 1. So you want to restrict the free movement of people and products in order to satisfy some sort of idealized world in your head? I think you're on the wrong forum here dude...

Yes, supply chains need redundancy, and Just In Time can be problematic in times of crisis as COVID proved. But that's a different issue entirely. What you're advocating is this: - We should all buy from our own country because closer to home is better then... - We should all buy from our own state becuase closer to home is better

So you want a tax to force people to pay more money for goods and services? That is the very definition of statism and central-planning.

Oct 7 was also a Holiday, which could explain the lack of defenses. I don't know for certain to what extent any of that is true, whether they LIHOP, but I certainly am not denying the possibility. The question is, if you found out some criminal was planning a home invasion and you turned off your home security system and waited by the door with a shot gun and shot them when they entered your house, is that a false flag? Could you be charged with a crime? Is that a moral action? I don't think 9/11 was planned by Bin Laden, I think there was a lot of planning and pre-knowledge beforehand from intel agencies. I don't think the 9/11 hijackers flew the planes into the buildings, I think they were flown into buildings. I don't think the buildings came down on their own, I think there were pre-planted explosives. Now THAT'S a false flag. Letting down your guard and letting the enemy come in on their own accord and slaughtering hippies at a music festival and children and people in those villages, that's not exactly a false flag. You could call it a LIHOP, though. Is that a moral action? Do they want to keep living in terror forever, with rockets constantly flying over their cities? Or did they want to make it stop and this was how they chose to do it?

This is one of the most easy and logical issues you can explain to people using basic economics. The crazy thing is you can explain the whole thing, you can give an example of a store owner selling overpriced water bottles before a storm and how one person could come in and buy it all out for $50, or you can overcharge 10x and each person comes in buying only what they need, more people end up with the goods they need before the storm, saving lives. You can explain how overpricing helps bring in more goods after the storm by encouraging entrepreneurs to risk their safety to bring in goods to a dangerous area with looters and dangerous, damaged roads, etc, saving even more lives. Most people still won't change their mind, they think the value of things is just whatever the price tag at their local store says and anybody who charges more is just being greedy.. those are usually leftists tho. That said.. I saw some of these posts on X, and 95% of the comments beneath were MAGA supporters saying price gouging during a weather emergency is a good thing..

Man, what a bunch of whiners. The Israel derangement syndrome in this thread is off the charts. Lebanon was launching missiles into Israel, then Israel 'invades' Lebanon and everybody here is just going to pretend like it was completely unprovoked? I mean, c'mon.. Oh they blew up a Mosque.. Well here's the problem. Muslims have blurred the lines between military bases and civilian structures and Mosques.. when was the last time you saw a military base that was also a Synagogue? Or a civilian apartment building in Israel? You people are so easily manipulated..

You just failed business 101. All equitable transactions benefit both sides of the transaction. Now what you may have a legitimate problem with is that to be hoenst a lot of trade today isn't equitable... and it isn't because governments intervene (due to restrictions, tariffs, etc). Free trade is undeniably good for the economy. But like with everything else, it isn't truly free because the government screws it up. This is again, economic ignorance. Industries and firm propped up by artificial government stimulus, handouts, restrictions, grants, taxes, subsidies, etc are clearly inefficient and needs to be liquidated. If a business can't compete, then it shouldn't be in business.

This is economic ignorance at its height. Specialization is critical, buy stuff from people who are efficient at making said stuff. Make something on your own and then sell it to market too. The idea of making things yourself for your own consumption is economically idiotic. (I'm not talking about prepping, gardening, hobbies, etc here). On a personal level, the best thing to do would be to sell it off, and invest the proceeds while gaining a skill or trade to bring in cashflow.
