One thoughtful idea would be to remind children of color that they are free to enjoy all the same self-determined, no-cost activities the old-timey white children in the old picture are enjoying. This picture reminds us that kids didn't always depend on government-structured programs to tell them how to spend their time, and that such freedom isn't what encourages some kids to damage property or harm others.

Another interesting fact from the same page: I'm thinking there are many out there, thinking along the same lines for the "restoration". The worlds richest elites are making huge donations for repairs. They can essentially buy the building with their donations, then push for some woke-joke of a re-design to "bring us all together". :questionsmerk:

Benjamin Mouton, was chief architect at Notre Dame for 13 years. https://www.newsadvance.com/news/trending/from-the-ashes-of-notre-dame-a-reminder-that-even/article_c829865e-32f7-5507-b605-a248b3e4ea86.html Mouton is puzzled - says 800 year old oak is very hard and does not burn so quickly - would need a lot of kindling. He seems afraid to offer any explanation. "I don't have any hypothesis that I could tell you... I'm lost in conjecture..." I don't like the sound of this - a global contest to redesign Notre-Dame's spire. Will they resist the urge to turn it into some diversity scheme, favoring a new design indicative of globalism, with some creation that can represent "all" ethnicities and religions - rather than the catholic church it is? Not bloody likely! This needs to be a restoration, not an alteration of the design. A true "restoration", means all repairs are done using methods identical to those used in the original. (Did you know?) It's a discipline typically reserved for old houses, historic buildings, artistic & museum objects - so that's what the speaker was referring to when stating that there were no trees large enough to properly restore the spire. (Bertrand de Feydeau, vice president of preservation group Fondation du Patrimoine - see above: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?533468-Notre-Dame-cathedral-on-fire-in-Paris/page5 ) I agree that in this case, they'd be better off using some modern techniques, such as steel for the frame. All aesthetic stuff though, should adhere to the same craftsmanship and same design as the original (with the possibility of using modern preservatives on the exterior to enhance weather resistance.)

That makes sense, but when I go to https://wikileaks.org I see no mention of any new dump from a few days ago - only older stuff. I don’t see any links to the https://file.wikileaks.org/file/ listed in the first post - do you? and I don’t know anything about “Investment Watch” (also linked to in first post) which gives that link. If I found that link directly at the wikileaks web site, I’d consider it more likely to be genuine. But can’t web addresses be faked to appear differently in the address bar, from what they actually are? Am I wrong about this? How do you determine that the https://file.wikileaks.org/file/ really originates from the wikileaks - and that it's not somebody's spoof?

I remember Obama busing illegal aliens all over the country - and keeping it secret where he was sending them. The difference here is Trump is being upfront and honest about it, and only sending them where they've already said they want them.

I'm guessing that Trump is probably familiar with this song by wrestler Fred Blassie from 1977. A guy I worked with 30+ years ago, used to play it sometimes (this, and "It's a Gas" the Mad Magazine burping song). I HATED it. Of course, now it seems hilarious! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=McLw5Tg5GOc

What happens with elderly or sick people in countries where squat toilets are normal? I can't imagine someone in a weakened state being able to squat and crap like that, without having some handle bars up front to hang onto. On the other hand, perhaps a lifetime of forced squating leads to such immensely strong thigh muscles, that the elderly never develop problems with raising themselves up from a seated position? Struggling with constipation or diarrhea must be a real work out! By the way, I remember a "club" (big bar with loud music/dance floor) in the early 80s, that had what I now realize was a bidet. None of us could figure out what the hell it was, or why it was there, and no one liked to use it - unless they were drunk - restrooms were ALWAYS real crowded! Then it could be used like a squat toilet (which no one knew was an actual thing) - hovering over the bowl to urinate, then running away after flushing. (Still don't know how your supposed to use it! Are actually supposed to sit your ass down into that bowl?! Yuck.)

The thing is, that's the headline that was used for the story, and that's the way the bulk of the media has chosen to report on it. They make it sound like Rand wants to keep the info hidden, rather than admitting that he wants even more transparency, and it's the democrats that want to keep info hidden. A lot of us already knew the truth because he tweeted about his intentions last week and argued his case on the floor.

Well we do have immune systems and the ability to heal. The younger and fitter you are, the stronger your immune system, and the faster your body can heal - but medicines are a good idea if you want to be done with the problem quicker, or your immune system isn't as strong. In the case of a broken toe, I don't think your treatment was much different from what a doctor could've done for you. They don't put casts on toes - you just have to wait for it to heal. Of course a doctor may have prescribed pain meds which could've been helpful during that first week. As for ringworm, it's a tinea fungus, like athlete's foot and jock itch. You could've just bought over-the-counter athletes foot medicine, and been rid of the rash in a week or two. When my sick cat developed ring worm on her ears, the vet told me to just use Lotrimin for athlete's foot on it. She had a compromised immune system from one of the meds being used to treat cancer. (RIP Skinny. :( ) As for toe fungus, (assuming you mean the disgusting, repulsive and hideous nail kind) supposedly, it's usually just athlete's foot that's spread under the nail, where it's harder to treat. So maybe you started off with tinea pedis and ignored it? Whereas, if you had used an OTC treatment before it reached the nail, it wouldn't have reached the more difficult stage. I'll guess that Jeremy Wade was in excellent health before he contracted malaria, so was able to overcome it without meds - but if he had been malnourished or older, he might not have been so lucky.
