Thank you. So are we then just considering life and liberty? Can we break this down? What does it really mean to say we have a natural right to life? Does that mean we have a right the essence of what is required to sustain life, such as water, air and food? Or does it just mean that no one should take away our life? Similarly, how can we quantify liberty? What exactly do we have the liberty to do? For example, do we have the liberty to travel where ever we want?

As an aside, this is an important principle. If you have borrowed something from Caesar then you should give it back, it is his. Conversely, the fruits of your labor are your and yours alone. If Caesar has earned goodwill then it's good to give it to him.

I still am. This is part of that. The project has certainly been on hiatus for too long but it will never be a past tense issue. How do you see property rights in relation to air? Do you have a natural right to air? Air can be viewed as property, you can contain, trade and consume air. If you were on a Mars colony it would be obvious you don't have a right to air. Is it different on Earth? Can one still argue you do not have a right to air and if you didn't own any property you could end up in a situation where you owned no air. Sounds bizarre, but what are the counter arguments? Technically, I didn't mention justification, just what they were. To your point however, I agree that justification rests on subjective values. In the big picture of my work, I'm taking a difference approach that works to avoid these dead ends. But that's a different topic. Thank you!

Just looking for thoughtful analysis and discussion, we'll see where it goes. When does this self-ownership begin? Is it possible to derive the right to own property from self-ownership? Or is that a separate matter? Thanks!

Per the title, do you have natural rights? If so, what are they and what are the root elements of them? Most specifically, I'm interested to break down the ideas and concepts into their most fundamental pieces. For example, saying we have the right to liberty can be viewed as a right, but how can this be further quantified? How can you break this down? Does this mean you have the freedom of movement? But is that really a sub-element of the freedom of self-determination? As well, there are some limits to the freedom of movement. Thanks for any viewpoints. BTW, natural rights have certainly been discussed here in the past but nothing to this detail that I can find. Some threads: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/tags.php?tag=natural+rights

Wow. Some fantastic responses so far. I'd like to see the discussion continue for a little while... BTW, IMO, the use / none-use of the Oxford Comma depends upon the situation. For example, in instructional documentation is adds no value and can potential introduce confusion as to if something was omitted. In creative writing it can introduce a dramatic pause. Just my $0.02.

Very true, I like that. Which highlights another oddity; why is the downstairs bathroom so big in the first place, with a full tub and all? There is no bedroom for it. It's also larger than the somewhat small master bath. Must be The Beam.

I hear you, the better designs I've seen would have the entry where the kitchen sink is with a U shaped kitchen just to the right. The upper part of the U could be an open counter / bar. So the foyer is just to the left of the kitchen and gives it some extra space. That won't work in this case because of The Beam.

Do you have any core values that you strive to live by? If so, what are they and why do you have them? Explaining thought processes and rational is appreciated.

Well, it is a nice looking support beam. :) IMO, the bigger floor plan disaster is that you enter the space in the kitchen. I agree on the remodel, likely the original (and very small) kitchen ended at this beam. People now like big kitchens so to expand you have to have the support beam in the middle.

As noted here... I was interested in any questions site members would have for Rand Paul as I was going to be able to ask him a question or two. At this point, the mission has been accomplished. I appreciated all of the questions, it certainly would have been great to get to ask a lot but I was more than pleased with the outcome. Here's the run-down... Good question, I couldn't quite get this question in but he did talk some about the SCOTUS and the general take is to do it right.

Are Antitrust Law Needed or Not?

A breakdown of the Axiom's involved in the issue...

Moral Issues
Axiom 1: Having a monopoly does not mean that you have done anything morally wrong, all of your property and clients can be justly acquired.
Axiom 2: Antitrust laws only have value when they are back

For the sake of argument, let's say you statement is correct, that the economy did boom when there was a top tax rate of 91%.

Question- does that make it right? Did
