imo it is clearly a geo-political chess move... and a very clever one. They could just declare the intention (and have Rosatom build it) instead They put it out for bid (w/ France a likely candidate to construct) The 'world' sees it as open and transparent rather than Russia!Russia!Russia! thwarting the Atlanticists (and Israel) obvious/expected attempts to demonize it. Smart thinking imo.

I propose that the best way to convince these people all white people aren't the same is to help them fight federally militarized police. I propose that no one should pass up a chance to put a dent in the federal militarization of police because they might get close enough to some socialist in the process to explain to them why socialism leads to things like federally militarized police afterward. I propose Count had a point when he said the right place to be might be on the knee next to those protestors.

Did it even stir those hairs on your scalp when the point flew over your head? If the powers that be can fill the internet with people who claim to be libertarian spewing stuff that isn't libertarian, if they can ignore the people who created the 'Tea Party' and tell the public it's something else so loudly and so often that the Tea Party actually turns into something else, why couldn't they fill a movement against militarized police full of communists and bigoted blacks and then give their own plants within that movement all the publicity? Do we know those people any better than they know libertarians? Or are we falling for the same fake news they fall for? Have you personally scratched below the surface of it?

One word? When it comes to defending Trump, you can write thousand word essays and stand on your head. Why isn't it guilt by association? If the powers that be can spew deplorable nonsense and call themselves libertarian while doing it, causing people to be leery of us, then why can't they divide us from the anti-fascist police movement by trying to tie it to communism?

View: Jobs are Modi's central mission, and he's failing. Read howBloomberg| Updated: May 26, 2017, 06.43 PM IST 101101Comments Modi seems to realise that he hasn’t moved swiftly enough to create jobs, which could cost him when he runs for re-election in 2019. By Mihir Sharma Three years ago, Narendra Modi was sworn in as prime minister of the Republic of India amid much hope and tremendous expectation. A good portion of the population remains optimistic that he’ll fulfill his promises to unshackle the Indian economy. But Modi’s tenure cannot yet be judged a success for one central reason: He’s signally failed to create jobs for the desperate young people who gave him his massive mandate.

'Open Skies' Squabble: US To Restrict Russian Military Flights Over American Territory (you can read about the new 'squabble' FWIW) BACKGROUND The Open Skies Treaty, initially conceived during the Eisenhower Administration, ultimately ratified in 1992, before going into effect in 2002, has enabled more than 1,200 flights meant to help verify that signatories are in compliance with arms control agreements, according to the US Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA). Of course, as we noted last month, it is unclear what if anything spy planes can glean from the flights that the Russians (and the US) couldn’t already learn from spy satellites overhead, especially since anything of value would have been hidden well in advance of the pre-telegraphed flight. To be sure, Pentagon officials cite the value of the treaty, chiefly the fact that imagery captured on the flights is shared among treaty states and also with the public, imposing a level of transparency that is rare in the murky world of counterintelligence operations. Tellingly, in March 2014, the US used Open Skies imagery to counter Russia’s claim that it wasn’t engaged in a military buildup along the Ukrainian border.

Good sir, you misunderstand. That list is category/subject-specific. That the individual authors had shortcomings does not diminish the value of those works. I have lots of qualms with Rothbard, Ron Paul, Hoppe, von Mises, etc, but I also like a lot of what they do. And they're good enough that I consider them part of the libertarian canon(or as Riggenbach calls it "The Libertarian Tradition"). ETA: RP likes Murray, and Mises was a fan too(though Mises didn't agree with his politics, of course). You should give him an honest chance. His history and econ are world class, even though his ethics are flawed.

Sounds good. Now. How do we do this in spite of the fact that the MSM is shoving people into their controlled opposition boxes with all the fifty gazillion watts of 24/7 brainwashing at their disposal, and in the few places where people do come occasionally to view us like exhibits in a zoo, we've let a bunch of collectivist, racist trolls in to scare everyone off? Can we devise a plan to overcome these rather obvious handicaps?

Remember back in 2008 when the powers that be desperately set out to subvert this movement, split off the outliers with some Republican libertarian-lite thing, and herd us like sheep back into their divide and conquer game? Well, it seems to be working. So how do you get people's attention? How do you alert rank and file, red meat Republicans to the fact that they really don't want the fascism they think they want? How do you make the Democrats who associate the real fascists' socialism with the only hope they thought they had that blacks could be seen as human individuals, and not automatically shot like hood rats without a second thought, see that the MSM is herding them into the enemy camp and that we want them to have their God-given individual rights to life and liberty even if some people infiltrating our camp do call them animals (and worse)? Should we encourage teams to do a second anthem? Should we raise the Bennington flag (my avatar) and sing God Bless America? What?

Libertarianism and "plumbline" conservatism are mutually exclusive. Conservatism has long been opposed to classical liberalism-the precursor to "plumbline" libertarianism.

  5. Oh--by the way, look for it other places than Amazon, you might find it cheaper if you actually intend to buy either one.

Right there is where you find it! It seriously has saved me a lot of money and will pay itself off within a year. I use the washer, then spin "dry," and hang up to finish the drying. It's working great for where we're at right now, my bathroom has turned into the laundry room--much better than spending $$$ on laundromat nastiness. We also have a balcony where I can dry/grow herbs and some tomatoes. I'm making the best of what I've got.

* Enforce Border Security – America should be guarding her own borders and enforcing her own laws instead of policing the world and implementing UN mandates.

* No Amnesty - The Obama Administration’s endorsement of so-called “Comprehensive Immigration Reform,” granting amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants, will only encourage more law-breaking.

* Abolish the Welfare State – Taxpayers cannot continue to pay the high costs to sustain this powerful incentive for illegal immigration. As Milton Friedman famously said, you can’t have open borders and a welfare state.

* End Birthright Citizenship – As long as illegal immigrants know their children born here will be granted U.S. citizenship, we’ll never be able to control our immigration problem.

If you are a young mother, you need to know, right now, that the advice that DonnaY gives is just horrible. She did not graduate from high school, and considers herself a researcher because she watches YouTube videos and reads conspiracy things. She posts these things because she apparently has a deep seated need to feel smarter than the rest of the world...painting herself as some wise sage in a world gone mad. In fact, she is delisional and dangerous.

that hosting a picture in a thread isn't this hard for everybody. But linking straight to it was a disaster in that it was HUGE - filled up the whole page on the laptop. I downloaded it and then tried to insert it from my desktop, but no luck.

So here it is: a picture of a humidifier (maybe) with absolutely no relevant text to go with it. If it's relevant text you want, go here.

Beware the seller giving advice
