    I suspect it's satirical. Police statists are not typically so blunt - not unless and until they feel their control is secure and absolute (which our current police statists do not feel - they are, in fact, quite insecure, as evidenced by their incessant and increasingly desperate attempts to demonize their political opponents). But on the other hand, nowadays, who knows? Just as a story may be factual but not truthful (legacy media "journalists" traffic in such stories as a matter of routine), a story may also be truthful but not factual. Is the latter any less "real" than the former?

    The opposition coalition did field a candidate - several, in fact. Patricia Bullrich (a previous Minister of Security) was the front-runner among them. Sergio Massa was the leading Peronist coalition candidate. Those two and Milei (and some others) advanced to the October general election after the August primary. (Milei "won" the primary in the sense that he got more votes than anyone else - but a candidate only needed 1.5% in the primary to advance to the general.) No one secured a majority In the October general election, so the top two vote-getters (Massa and Milei, in that order) went on to face off in a November runoff. Milei won, but to secure that victory and defeat Massa, he needed the support of the opposition coalition (Bullrich's faction) - and in order to do that, he had to come to terms with them. IOW: Milei is not a unilateral dictator. He will have to accommodate the non-libertarian anti-Peronists who helped him win, and he cannot simply do as he would like (which would have been the case anyway, even if he had been able to win without the support of the opposition coalition). In fact, there will be times when he will have to do as he would not like. It remains to be seen how often and to what degree that is the case. That is the nature of politics (especially democratic politics) - and it is why politics is such a fraught and dicey venue in which to pursue liberty. As I've said before:

    Right there is where you find it! It seriously has saved me a lot of money and will pay itself off within a year. I use the washer, then spin "dry," and hang up to finish the drying. It's working great for where we're at right now, my bathroom has turned into the laundry room--much better than spending $$$ on laundromat nastiness. We also have a balcony where I can dry/grow herbs and some tomatoes. I'm making the best of what I've got.

If you are a young mother, you need to know, right now, that the advice that DonnaY gives is just horrible. She did not graduate from high school, and considers herself a researcher because she watches YouTube videos and reads conspiracy things. She posts these things because she apparently has a deep seated need to feel smarter than the rest of the world...painting herself as some wise sage in a world gone mad. that hosting a picture in a thread isn't this hard for everybody. But linking straight to it was a disaster in that it was HUGE - filled up the whole page on the laptop. I downloaded it and then tried to insert it from my desktop, but no luck.

So here it is: a picture of a humidifier (maybe) with absolutely no relevant text to go with it. If it's relevant text you want, go here.
