Indeed! The same talking points have been around for decades. Murray responded to them at least once that I know of, as did Hayek. (see "The Austrian Theory Of The Trade Cycle", compiled and edited by Clifford Thies)

Congratulations Suzanimal! Based on your application, your new, very important profession under the Green New Deal will be Window Breaker-Fixer and your new salary will be $148,733/yr. Window Breaker-Fixer: $148,733/yr Common Because Keynesian Economics is a totally respectable field of study, it is proven that to generate wealth, all we as a people have to do is repeatedly break windows and then fix them. We estimate that for every 10 window breaker-fixers, we will generate enough money to cover the livelihoods of 93.7 normal American adults. Thus we will quickly be able to sustain the entire economy in no time. If detractors ever try to claim that the rewards of socialism do not have a reliable funding source to continually pay for all the promises, simply educate them about broken windows.

That's especially true of social security. The older you are, the more assets you likely have. Social Security takes from the poorest class of workers, the young, and hands out the cash to the wealthiest, the old. It's a great gig. But the media has done a bangup job of showing seniors as poor people eating cat food to stay alive in their little shacks with leaky tin roofs.

No it doesn't, and you know it ... A truly (not "truely") free market says property owners get to decide who is allowed to use their bathrooms (or any other part of their property). Period. Full stop. Whether "more bathroom inspectors" are needed (whatever it is you mean by "need") is not up to "we". It is up to property owners - and even then, it is up to them only with respect to their own property and no other. Any disapproval you or I or anyone else may have for this is simply irrelevant. And strangely, you never seem to apply your disdain for these metaphorical "bathroom police" to actual, literal "bathroom police". So far as I can tell, you have had nary a disparaging word to say about actual, literal government-credentialed "cops" with actual. literal police powers who actually and literally dictate who must be allowed to use what bathrooms and who mete out actual, literal punishments when those dictates are violated.

Very nice. Mr A rarely buys me flowers but one year he made me a chicken wing bouquet. He put hot wings (at the top) and celery (for the stem) on bamboo skewers and stood them up in a hurricane glass filled with bleu cheese, lol. Best bouquet I ever got. High of 51 and rain today. In the extended forecast it looks like the sun will peek out on Monday afternoon but we won't see it again for a week - says rain and showers every day. This has been a very rainy winter. I just hope it clears up before it gets warm outside. I was thinking about how happy I'm going to be when it gets warm and I can go swimming but then I remembered that I have a job 4 days a week and I won't get to lounge in the pool very much. I was thinking about cutting back to two or three days a week in the summer.

Libertarianism and "plumbline" conservatism are mutually exclusive. Conservatism has long been opposed to classical liberalism-the precursor to "plumbline" libertarianism.

  7. Oh--by the way, look for it other places than Amazon, you might find it cheaper if you actually intend to buy either one.

Right there is where you find it! It seriously has saved me a lot of money and will pay itself off within a year. I use the washer, then spin "dry," and hang up to finish the drying. It's working great for where we're at right now, my bathroom has turned into the laundry room--much better than spending $$$ on laundromat nastiness. We also have a balcony where I can dry/grow herbs and some tomatoes. I'm making the best of what I've got.

Anti-vaxxers, responsible for a 30 percent uptick in totally preventable diseases in the world, have blood on their hands. They shouldn't be considered civilized members of society. If they refuse to listen to a century of scientific studies confirming time and time again that vaccination is an unquestionable good for humanity, then it's time for us to start treating anti-vaxxers as what they are: dangerous and worthy of shame and condemnation. If we can't convince anti-vaxxers to change their minds, we must attach enough social stigma to the delusion that agnostics cease to join them.

If you are a young mother, you need to know, right now, that the advice that DonnaY gives is just horrible. She did not graduate from high school, and considers herself a researcher because she watches YouTube videos and reads conspiracy things. She posts these things because she apparently has a deep seated need to feel smarter than the rest of the world...painting herself as some wise sage in a world gone mad. In fact, she is delisional and dangerous.

that hosting a picture in a thread isn't this hard for everybody. But linking straight to it was a disaster in that it was HUGE - filled up the whole page on the laptop. I downloaded it and then tried to insert it from my desktop, but no luck.

So here it is: a picture of a humidifier (maybe) with absolutely no relevant text to go with it. If it's relevant text you want, go here.

Beware the seller giving advice
