If you think a proprietary crypto will be the most successful, well, good luck with all that.. Yes, it's possible, and they have already tried. Are you willing to shove a portion of your life savings into something nobody can see but the people you give your money to? People put their wealth into bitcoin because the code is publicly available, and so you know what is going to happen.. or if you don't, you can ask somebody who is smart enough to understand the code. If it's proprietary, access to that information becomes extremely difficult. When you buy a computer and choose an OS it is a small investment to be used as a tool to help you communicate, entertain, etc.. if it works marginally better than linux, but you don't know exactly what it's doing, then you might go for it. But you probably wouldn't store you wealth in something designed that way if you had a better option.

Private companies have proprietary products including code, whereas with crypto one of the best features is that it is open source. So the new better crypto would have to be open source, or else nobody will trust it and it loses that feature. Since it is open source, BTC can easily adopt the new features much more easily than private companies.

You keep ignoring the elephant in the room that I keep mentioning, which is that BTC can easily be upgraded to the goldier gold, there is no need to switch over all of the infrastructure in place, etc..

What is unique to BTC is that it is currently the dominant crypto with the largest infrastructure. If somebody else makes a better crypto, BTC simply has to add these attributes to the platform. People aren't going to switch overnight, BTC has the highest and most stable value, most infrastructure and it is probably going to be the gold standard of crypto for a long time to come.

The results are disturbing.

Uh, ya, except BTC has a development team and it is much better than it was years ago, they can add features at any time so people don't need to switch to the new crypto if BTC can implement the same features, the code is all open-source and multiple cryptos can co-exist at once. I would encourage you to sit on the sidelines on this one, anyway. No need for people who want global monarchies to have anymore money than they already do.

Remember when Trump's Tulsa rally got over 1 million requests for tickets and only about 11,000 people attended with a stadium capacity of 20,000 a couple weeks or so ago? Well, first of all, it turned out that as many as a few thousand Trump supporters were blocked by protesters from getting into the venue, and the entrance was shut down. Second of all, a lot of people who may have gone decided not to because they didn't want to be around 50,000 other people or whatever competing to get in during a pandemic. But it turned out that there were some viral videos on tik tok that were encouraging kids to signup for tickets for the event. They celebrated when the crowd was smallish, especially the way it was presented on TV. They thought they were going to reserves seats and not go and then keep other Trump supporters from going. That didn't happen, it's still first come first serve at Trump rallies. They are also easily able to weed out the bad requests by checking for valid phone numbers. But, they may have discouraged some people from going who otherwise would have. They also trolled Trump to tweet out about the over 1 million requests for tickets, then see a stadium only 2/3 full on TV (it actually looked empty on TV, because they were filming the empty sections).

Why would he think they wanted to shoot him if they had come up to him several times already and said they just wanted to talk? They could have shot him then, but then he just kept running off. The fact is Arbery would not have been shot if he had not rushed them. He would have either successfully ran away or he be in jail for attempted robbery instead.

"Low Ready" position. By using this, or a "pre draw", you can prevent the bad guy from getting the drop on you (and you never "draw from the drop" even if you are Doc Holliday) while at the same time hopefully avoiding an assault with a deadly weapon charge, which is likely when you draw and aim. At the same time, if approaching strictly from a "how do I get myself and my family out of this situation without bloodshed or jail" perspective, de-escalation goes a long a long way. I don't know what got the ratchet would up, but "hey, sorry about that, sorry to have wasted your time, have a good day" may be all it takes to get everybody moving along again, with nothing sore other than egos. Of course, every state is different, and the laws vary wildly, but me, personally, would always be as conservative as possible. Keep in mind this is coming from somebody who has drawn and not fired on two occasions, both of which were enough to stop the crime in progress.

When Trump wanted to "build the wall" and increase border security and deport illegals, that made perfect sense. Red meat to the base. When Trump starts implementing things that Ron Paul wanted to do, that almost no Republicans gave a shit about, you can't use the same argument.

Uh, ya, that's exactly what I said. You are saying Trump is saying it (that's what he did, right? said it?) as some grand conspiracy to corral Republicans. Why does he need to do that if 97% of Republicans didn't even care about that issue 4 years ago? And all of the other things they didn't care about, but now do, and are things Ron Paul supported.. because Trump? More dishonest propaganda.

Sorry, but I find the idea that Trump withdrawing from the WHO is some grand conspiracy to corral Republicans is totally insane.. it would be completely unnecessary. It's not even on the list of what 97% of Republicans out there were even thinking 4 years ago, and it is more than even this forum could have ever hoped for. It makes absolutely, positively, zero sense and is completely laughable. It sounds like something coming from somebody who is pretending to be a hopeless conspiracy theorist where the ever-powerful cabal always wins, so it is senseless to fight it, and somebody who actually wants libertarians to lose and the cabal to win. That makes 100% sense to me.

Philosophically I'm an anarchist, but I am very willing to work toward a libertarian ideal, minarchist system in order to maximize government harm reduction. If we got that far, it would probably be worth going all the way, but at that point it certainly wouldn't be worth using any type of violence or anything as the state would be so minimal it would not affect us very much anyway. At that point, it would be a philosophical step, people saying that ya we have replaced 99% of government institutions with voluntary insitutions, why don't we try replacing that last 1% and see how it goes. It could be a few states, or a few communities or something that just say, "Ya, we are going to try it on our own for a while" and maybe something like "How much do you want to charge us to help maintain the military to protect us? We will see if we can come up with voluntary donations, otherwise we may try something else." Anarchists will say that I'm not a true anarchist, because I am willing to work within the system to increase government harm reduction. That thought process makes zero sense to me, and it makes them look like a cult.. Why? Because you have to be in the "I'm not going to do anything in the political realm" club to be in the cool kid anarchy club, you can't simply agree that anarcho-capitalism is the most moral system philosophically, and a great ideal to work toward. They really need to get over that if they want to bring more people onboard as part of some movement. They complain about the Constitution not working, but compared to what? Anarchy? If we just got rid of government tomorrow, how long would that last? What would fill the void? Something worse than our Constitutional Republic or something better?

Personal Economy

by Working Poor on 04-06-2020 at 06:29 AM
I know a lot of people want to be rich. What they don't know is that they already are rich. We all will be rich in what we believe about the economy and our place in it.If you examine peoples beliefs about anything you will be able to determine that their life is exactly what they believe it is.

In all religions that I have looked into they all have something to say about everything you think and do will come back to you. As a man thinketh so shall he be.

The economy is
