I will, however, grant you that you could simply be anti-markets, because you don't trust "white" society to survive a market of ideas. In the opinion of this free marketeer, if "white" society can't compete, it's unfit to exist.

That's a convenient dodge. If I proclaim that agents of the state are not welcome on my property, it's not going to go well for me. The bottom line is, I pay property tax, which means it's not my property. The state is the only real property owner, thus the state has final say over who can and cannot enter my property. Every single one of your arguments leads directly to the overarching state you claim to be against. I'm not sure where you're getting lost on that. Dude, China was an empire that IIRC was still practicing legalism. We're talking about a society that pioneered the idea of rounding up all the dissenting scholars and burying them alive. I stand corrected, there's a good 40% of the time when your arguments lead directly to racism.

LOL right on. You know what Amazon did that no other retailer in 40 years was able to do? They got me to actually LIKE shopping. Has it been so long that nobody remembers what shopping was like prior to Amazon? Does nobody else remembering getting in the car, driving to one place, looking for five minutes, walking toward the door, and having your wife say "you can't possibly know within five minutes whether they have what you're looking for", the ensuing argument during the entire trip to the next store, wash, rinse, repeat? There was an entire winter, 2004-5, IIRC, where it was consistently under 20 degrees outside and I was wearing a fleece hoodie on top of two flannel shirts because I had worn out my coat and I had didn't find its replacement and fuck you I'm not spending $100 on a coat I don't like and will just freeze this winter. Amazon made it so the coats are 20% cheaper, I get it delivered the next day, and I can return it if anything is wrong. And almost every possible coat is there for me to look through, in one place. And every purchase I make, they give money to my chosen charity. They might be predatory toward the sellers, but they're acting that way to give me something I've always wanted and those sellers never gave me. I'm the king. The running shoe stores can either adapt or they can join the ranks of ice delivery men and newspaper printers. King Fisharmor recognizes this as progress.

Ok, I just want you to be consistent here. You seem to be saying God grants us rights, but those rights don't include free movement, and we are not free to move across an invisible line unless either God tells us to, or the state says it's ok. First of all, no, absolutely and demonstrably incorrect. The Chinese that were specifically legislated against in 1875 were practically from another planet. They would have had zero interaction with Western culture. Today, there is no "illegal" immigrant today who hasn't seen American TV and probably grew up watching the exact same cartoons you did. The best case you can make is that they have a false impression where everyone here is blond and beautiful and rich. Second, are you waxing nostalgic about the time when you could round up ethnicities and kick them out? The legal approach to immigration is identical to the legal approach to gun control: both were instituted for racist reasons. The first laws in each category were specifically targeting minorities. Times do change, but the fundamental reasons for immigration and gun controls do not.

Man I would love to come down there and just look at the woodwork. In answer to your question on the picture thread... yeah, we sing the Cherubic Hymn during every liturgy. I'm kind of surprised you don't. We actually have four different scores that get regular rotation, and a fifth that we do occasionally, and I'm pretty sure there's a sixth I don't immediately recall. As I said in the other thread, the Cherubic Hymn is probably my favorite part of the liturgy - not so much because of the music, but because it is a distinct point in the service where we say Ok, all that stuff we worry about, wars, rumors of wars, sickness, death, illegal immigration, all the way down to Google's disinterest in bringing the Android One initiative to America.... it all doesn't matter at this point. We are in the presence of the body and blood of the risen Christ, and we are laying aside all of those Earthly cares. We mystically represent the Cherubim and as such will put all of that stuff in a box and concentrate on the thing happening in front of us.

The God of the Bible specifically told people on several occasions to leave their country and go to another one where they were outsiders. You do know that none of the stuff you support existed before 1875, right?

So what you're saying is, you support border checks 100 miles away from a border. That's the example I gave when I said unrestricted movement is a human right. You took exception to that, even calling it "babble", and in the process, you came out 100% in favor of these border checks.

If some group claiming a monopoly on law is going to attempt to lock someone up in a rape cage, or potentially execute him, then yeah, it's kind of on them to make sure that person needs to be raped/executed. The founders weren't stupid. This was written in there because they knew the whole point of having a monopoly legal system is to rape/execute people, plus a bunch of things we today would consider bona fide torture. I think they were generally more morally centered than people today and wrote that in there for no other reason than as a hindrance to torturing/executing people on a whim. And let's stay on target here with rights: It is a human right to serve as an attorney without eight years of education and passing a bar exam. If law as a profession was free, and if people who wanted to be lawyers had rights, then legal fees would be dictated by markets and therefore a fraction of their current cost... which would invalidate much of your concern.

Axe has been used as a verb for a long time. And if an office girl started using it as a noun, I think I'd be a bit nervous--unless the office was a lumberjack supply company. Which reminds me. If I were to respond to, 'He axed me last night,' with, 'Well you sure heal fast,' is that racist?

Well, that's certainly a statement. But it is not a response to what I said, so I don't know why you quoted my post before you typed that depressing appeasement blather. All you're really doing here is proving what I said before. Moving more slowly in the wrong direction, and pretending to ourselves it's the "right direction", and patting ourselves on the back for falling for the oldest trick in the book, is how generations of conservatives have delivered us into this hell. But I've said that a million times and you've never directly addressed it, so naturally you're about to dissemble yet again.

You sure like to blather about practical realities. The practical reality is, the more the Church of the Lesser Evil engages in its Emergency Appeasement, the less of a chance "Anyone Better" ever gets. That's the thing you don't get, and that's why you get called everything from politically immature to hopelessly stupid.

He isn't doing any good at all. The only reason you say he is would be Hillary Clinton. You're just like those bureaucrats who claim that their department's budget is cut because it was going to spend a lot more than last year, but now it's only going to spend a little more than last year. The "projected budget increase" got cut, and they call it a budget cut. That's Trump. He ain't doing shit. Maybe Clinton would have been worse. But that doesn't make Trump good. He's still bad. Very bad. Someone is fooling himself, all right. And someone is fooling herself. The Art of the Deal. He's screwing us all. But you two are happy because he kissed us first.

The fallacy is, I made a point--that your mental gymnastics mean nothing--and you try to deflect from that point by seizing on another part of the sentence and talking about that. The fallacy is, I made a point--that the meme in question clearly does not say what you claim it does--and you try to deflect from that point by seizing on another part of the sentence and talking about that. Oh? You only spend seventy-five hours a week here trying to convince people the GOP is meeting the needs of conservatives for representation?

That horse shit took quite a bit of mental gymnastics. No wonder it took you so long to respond. Fact is, government put men on the moon, government put spacecraft on Mars and Venus, and government is what is spending blood and treasure trying to civilize parts of the world which have been happily behaving like brats for thousands of years. So, no, clearly your latest interpretation of that meme has nothing to do with SpaceX doing potentially profitable things like putting satellites in orbit, tourism and mining. In fact, I'd venture to guess everyone on the planet has got, or could get, a better handle on the meaning of that meme than you do. So this statement is either an disingenuous attempt to cover your ass or more evidence you're stupid. Which is, of course, why you hang around here eighty hours a week trying to convince people that the GOP is far enough right, the Libertarian Party is beyond hope, and we are all crazy when we say the GOP is only about two inches away from the Democratic Party on a good day. Because you figure that's just the way to bring on the day when something which is genuinely conservative is brought to pass. Even though anyone with a lick of sense knows that no matter how liberal the GOP is, the death of the DNC would never bring liberals bleating like sheep into the RNC. They'd sooner inflate the Socialist Party, and throw the ball away. Brilliant fucking plan, as always, Einstein.

"Could you please try to understand the opinions you're stooping to name-calling over?" - Nope. An opinion is based on fact. He has no facts. He's just spewing liberal bullshit to stir crap up.

LIke it or not, SCOTUS never said corporations were people. SCOTUS never said corporations have the same rights that people do. If people are too stupid and / or lazy to actually read what the court said they deserve to be ridiculed and mocked.

He can have an opinion about whether people in groups lose their rights just because they join a group. But refusing to acknowledge that at no point did the court say the group had rights means he isn't basing his opinion on reality. Therefore he isn't worthy if anything other than ridicule, and is also e too stupid to properly represent the liberty movement.

Fuck him and his liberal thinking.

Hey - regarding your post on tech, I agree in full. Idunno if you know, but I intend to get out of society completely with my wife and going to live on unclaimed or, ideally, gov't-"owned" land and essentially starting our own country with our family.

I dislike how tech. has been used by society, but I blame society, not tech. and wish society could work with tech, but I don't think it can. This is why I'm leaving society. That solar forge sounds incredibly cool. I plan on loading up with books (e-books, mostly) and going with my wife to live in a cave essentially and we've been going over all sorts of plans to utilize the technology we can afford now to make our lives easier, but I think a lot of the technology used now has made Americans in general fat, boring, and stupid as all fuck.

I wish technology would be utilized to give us more time to think and allow us to expand our minds. I hope I can help facilitate that and intend to write extensively on our experiment. We have a kid (and more on the way, ideally) on the way, so there will hopefully be a lot to write about. My wife's more the scientist and I'm just a writer and philosopher. I'm so excited to share my experiences and we're just waiting on the birth of our first child.

-- I'm going way off-topic. Anyway, I just wanted to say I really appreciate your post and hope you'll post more in the future. I had no idea you were so creative and independent. I hope to see more of that, and more of you. I hope you'll share more of your own experiences because I believe in leading through example and I think you're a great speaker for the cause of individualism.

To your question, I am not at all involved with society atm. I am unemployed except through my political volunteer positions in helping maintain websites. I worked, but I can't anymore knowing what it does -- and I also have a lot of social anxieties which discourage me from working at a "normal" job. Otherwise, we're working on fixing our house up to sell it and eventually want to get out of society completely so we don't have to fund this disgusting government causing the unnecessary deaths of civilians and military personnel.

I hope to have more to share with you soon and just wanted to you to know how refreshing I found your post today.

Idunno where you live, but I'd be interested in you and us having a beer together sometime to facilitate an open discussion.

    All the best,

    Ben
