The first time it became clear to me how biased the mainstream media truly are was Dr. Ron Paul's 2007 Presidential campaign:

If Darwinism is true, then there can be no such thing as "rights." The reason that is is because Darwinism, at its core, precludes the possibility that there can be supernatural (or non-material) entities which affect natural (or material) entities directly. Consequently, that means non-material things such as rights cannot exist in a Darwinian worldview because all there is is matter and motion. Since rights are neither made of matter, nor are they objects subject to the laws of physics, rights cannot be ascertained by any method of discovery in Darwinism. Thus, the notion that individuals have rights to life, liberty, property, etc. is moot within a Darwinian outlook of the world. So, anyone who considers himself a Darwinist cannot argue for rights as a basic necessity of human existence, in principle. If he does, then he is being inconsistent with the metaphysical demands of his worldview, and those demands cannot allow any invisible quality nor entity to have an instance in human experience. We're all just conglomerations of subatomic particles, which, themselves, are not sentient.

Hey, Uncle E. I was watching some of my old favorite vids on youtube and came across this one. I thought you would enjoy it. The whole lecture (Religion, Media and Hollywood) is really great, but this part is about what inspired Milch to create a criminally short-lived show he did for HBO, John From Cincinnati (I was one of its "dozens of fans!").

"What if, in the aftermath of 9/11, whatever God is becomes aware that we have been so infantilized- we have been made such children-by our addiction to media, which doesn't sink its roots deep, that we have become capable of a genocide."

The series itself is great too. Check it out!

Addressing the issue of the media corporations by way of reducing to our Founding Fathers

by Uncle Emanuel Watkins on 02-04-2013 at 10:05 AM
[QUOTE=Uncle Emanuel Watkins;4849151]First off, in order to address the topic of the press, as I always do, I first reduce to our Founders by way of utilizing a slightly altered political spectrum than the one that was once developed by Aristotle with this being his "golden mean." While he crafted a formulaic linear scale depicting left (liberal) and right (conservative) directions ushering in opposite directions away from a moderate viewpoint towards political extremes, to alter this
