I'm not a Trump guy but I also don't suffer from TDS. Trump did nothing wrong here. He used his own money for a personal expense. And even if this were a violation of campaign finance (its not), this would be yet another case of unequal application of the law. If it were anyone else they would be fined. You know it, I know it, we all know it. Also, Campaign Finance laws are an infringement upon our freedom of speech and should be objectionable to everyone here.

12 meaningless posts in a row talking to yourself. What is going on in this thread?

My first, longest and best friend of 25+ years died very recently from an unclean heroin overdose. He was also a libertarian, an early 2006 Ron Paul supporter and champion of personal freedom. He had his fair share of personal struggles and mental health problems which put him on this path - but he was keenly aware of his problems and was actively and purposefully working on bettering himself and improving his condition. One slip after 6 months of complete sobriety and a bad batch of heroin ended his life. And this was someone who was educated about safe drug use. To this day, the entire situation seems unreal and unbelievable. I don't know how this has affected my views on these issues as I'm still working through that but it has certainly made an impact on me. The fentanyl problem is very, very real.

Highly doubt it. This "leverage" theory being floated around to justify DJT's lack of any meaningful action in exposing the two-tier justice system in this country is pure hogwash. Makes zero sense. This supposed "leverage" has gotten him absolutely nothing. We need some justice in this country or we'll end up tearing ourselves apart. Punishing the Spygate conspirators is the only thing that matters right now. When Trump backtracked from his declassification order, all was lost. Hope I'm wrong.

Also sets up some really bad precedent. So if the rule is that once someone is given a press pass that it cannot be taken away, won't the White House now be incentivized to only issue press passes to those who are likely allies in the media?

I have no doubt voter fraud is rampant, particularly with Democrats. This midterm has made it more clear than ever. The antics in Florida are especially disgusting. This isn't hard folks... voters should receive a receipt for their ballots with an anonymized token ID from which they can instantly verify on a public website that their ballots were correctly recorded. From there we would have indepent third party watch groups form that could statistically verify the results of every election simply by having people check their own results. If we stick to paper ballots, any ballot that is not properly filled out should not be eligible to be counted in any scenario what-so-ever. If you are too stupid to fill out your ballot, your vote shouldn't count. While we're on the subject, each section should have to be filled out or be considered invalid. A "none of the above" option would work too fine. It's too easy for poll workers to fill in empty sections with the candidates of their own choice. You should absolutely have to verify your citizenship status to vote. This should be the case everywhere. Voting rolls should automatically be scrubbed over time. Upon issuance of a death certificate, that person should be removed from all voting rolls automatically.

So how's that "second" and "third" phase tax cuts doing for everyone? Blows my mind that anyone here believed the promises of future tax cuts... If they weren't going to do it in the first bill, they weren't going to do it. I'm not complaining about those tax cuts but it hardly provided any tax relief for middle class Americans. Almost all went to corporations, which is fine... if phase 2 & 3 were included in the original bill as well. Guess we'll be told next we have to wait 2 years and win back the house, keep the Senate and POTUS and then MAYBE we'll get those future phases.

Due process? What does due process have to do with anything? Acosta was not charged with any crime. I don't even know how a court has any standing to hear this case. There is no legal matter at play. What business does the court have dictating to the executive who they can and cannot let onto the premisis? At some point these rediculous rulings need to simply be ignored.
