Especially in offshore sailing it's good to have paper charts, at least as a backup. Paper doesn't need power, on the other hand it doesn't like getting wet... But it's a low weight-small backup to electronic systems. Also, charting on paper creates a a nice memory too.
Wow, great tips, keep 'em coming.
If your plans include anything maritime related, the US government has ceased printing nautical charts.
You can still buy paper charts here: https://www.oceangrafix.com/
One of the best resources of "off grid" living, although they didn't call it that at that time, is the Foxfire series.
A little on the pricey side, I bought the entire set and anniversary editions all at once, but of course you buy one book at a time.
Definition of two-spirit
Long version: "As an umbrella term it may encompass same-sex attraction and a wide variety of gender variance, including people who might be described in Western culture as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transsexual, transgender, gender queeer, cross-dressers or who have multiple gender identities. Two-spirit can also include relationships that could be considered poly."
Short version: "not straight"
And if you can't do all that, fill a bookshelf with antique textbooks.
Maybe you can use them to rig a generator that will make Clayton's greater wealth of information accessible.
Global Positioning System is built in to just about everything today, it is the backbone of the "Internet of Things".
It's in phones and cars and planes and trucks and trains and ships.
Almost all of the people that operate those vehicles can no longer perform any basic, let alone complex, navigational tasks, from reading a road map to calculating a three position star fix at night.
It's gotten to the point where people will drive off cliffs or into muddy fields just mindlessly following the idiot box's directions.
Well, just a friendly reminder, the people who operate the GPS system are not your friends.
Haley is still whoring for attention. Apparently it was too much for The Hill to figure out, but the person who delivered the cage and seed is tied to her own campaign, not Trump. Or maybe the Hill did figure it out. They did always insert "she said". But apparently that part isn't deemed important.

Bring it! Yes, Ambassador, just as you ordered.
I wish they were pining for representation.
They have not been called representatives in decades now.
They are "lawmakers" or "regulators" or "authorities" or "officials".
And the people have fully bought into the concept of Führerprinzip.
All they want is somebody to tell them where to squat and shit.
Like, for instance, every campaign promise he ever made.
Like when he voted against the very bill this thread wound up being about?
Interesting you're still holding this grudge. Trump is smart enough to play nice with Massie, having completely failed to ruin him. Are you just mad because we keep reminding you why Trump threw the hissy fit in the first place? As in, because Massie wouldn't listen to Trump when he ordered him to let Pelosi suspend the Constitution...
