You'd probably be right, but, eesh, would you want to? People can be pretty damned dense and I don't know how long I could tolerate a 50% tax rate while waiting for my neighbor to wake the F up. That's kind of like saying bringing back the draft would stop the wars, maybe not quite as drastic since we're dealing with taxes and not something that could get you killed.

35% of my paycheck fritters away before I see it and I hope I'm getting more for my money than a government managed pension plan pyramid scheme that won't exist in 50 years when I'm ready to collect. Then again, 56K per year may not even be middle class anymore for single folks.

In all fairness, it takes a lot of time and effort to design bills that can only be counterfeited by the Federal Reserve. Gotta be careful to make sure not just anyone can print money out of thin air.

Actually I think Brexit and le Pen have more credibility than Trump, since both Farage and le Pen seem to be perplexed over the Syrian strike. I also don't think Brexit is 'meaningless.' If they can't replace the politicians who are stalling the separation then yes, it will be meaningless. But the majority of public support is there. In fact, their revolutions are more meaningful than ours, so far. We can neither get a majority of public support nor can we remove the politicians who are serving as obstacles to our goals. We can't even get half the battle won. So there's that.

He thinks it can be reformed. Good luck with that, though.

Long overdue. I would have put O'Reilly up there with Keith Olbermann as the two most-arrogant TV media personas deserving of being canned. I wish I was a major advertiser though. It'd be nice to call up an MSM outlet from time to time and tell them to cut the bullshit or else. The most I can manage is to cut cable TV and as far as I can tell, they haven't even flinched, lol

Maybe this will incense republican grassroots to run neocons out of their party for good. I doubt it though. Neocons will continue giving the GOP brand a bad name and throwing the pendulum wildly back to Democrats each election cycle. We tried to clean their house for them in 2008. In 2012 they should have put 2 + 2 together and realized Mitt Romney was a neocon-pushed setup to throw the election to Obama. You'd think at some point they have to catch on, maybe when they see neocons with bloody hatchets standing over an elephant corpse, they'll assume something's not quite right with their party.

Looks good on paper. But like any form of government, or even non-government, it relies principally on people who give a damn to keep things the way they are meant to be. And these days, no one gives a damn.

He needs to hear it from the right people. There's a lot of competition for Trump's ear right now. If Trump fancies himself a revolutionary, then he should spend more time listening to people like Rand and less time listening to the dying yet desperately-clinging establishment old-guard.

You can hear the accusatory tone in MacCallum's voice as she talks to Sen. Paul.
