The thing is, they can't. They literally can't. You can't spend 8 years battering a man to the brink of disaster and then suddenly come out and pretend like you want civility. That's like going on air the day before the debate and telling everyone how Biden's mind is so sharp and then the day of the debate, turn right around and be like, 'oh no something happened to his brain, we might need someone else.' People see through that. It's so pathetically obvious at this point that they don't believe anything they're saying on air.

I'm not sure what they were so intently focused on. Both the marksman and the spotter appear to be looking in the same direction, which would make sense if they were already ID'ing a potential target. The whole point of having a spotter working alongside the marksman is to expand your coverage when looking for potential threats. If they're both looking at the same thing, that's tunnel-vision. Again, it would make sense if they were preparing to fire, but if they're just trying to stay alert "360-degrees", they failed miserably at that. Also, the spotter has his rifle ready. I assume the SS has binoculars (or at least, some sort of magnification device that offers more field-of-view than a scope), which would make more sense for the spotter to use while scanning, unless—again—they were already preparing to take a shot. Although, I do agree that they both look caught-off-guard by the first shots.

Tried to analyze the footage and it seems like the people hit were in the top left of the stands (stage-right). Which would mean those follow up shots would have to have been some wild fliers. I wonder if he realized he botched the initial shot and decided to just do random damage. Yeah found this video, those last shots were not aimed at anyone in particular, I'm certain of it. (need a YT account to view, apparently)

Oh no, it's not that, it's just that some of you guys are completely incapable of weighing new evidence and formulating fresh opinions based on relevant knowledge at hand. In other words, you act just like liberals. If I wanted to argue converse with liberals, I wouldn't be on RPF. So off you go as well.

I never said *#^) would hit the fan. That's part of your theory. You're getting us confused. That or, we're just not on the same page at all and talking past each other. I'm guessing if Trump wasn't the nominee, they (MAGA) would go back to not voting, and the GOP would keep losing presidential races. In all fairness, that's probably going to happen eventually, because he's only here for 4 more years (and that's *if* he wins). Why, you think conservatives would react violently? I would say they've been fairly tolerant regardless of who the GOP nominee was. Hell, they had an election stolen from them and still walked away in 'defeat' with smiles on their faces. Liberals are always a hare's breath away from getting triggered whether they win or lose. Bitter, resentful people, through and through.

Not exactly following your argument. The only thing I'm sure of is that conservatives have been patiently waiting for nearly 4 years at a chance to re-do an election that they were robbed of in 2020. No doubt the plan is to get conservatives to take the bait and resort to violence. The left is fairly easy to incite, by comparison. I've got to take a break from some of you guys.

There's no point man. I still say that the DS does not go around its ass to get to its elbow. There's no need for these convoluted Rube-Goldberg set-ups to get what they want. If anything, they're probably laughing while we chase our tails and psych ourselves out.

When I went to a rally in Valdosta, GA, they had semi-trailers blocking line-of-sight between buildings at the airport. Of course, he was still president (for another month) during that rally. Maybe the budget for semi-trailer rentals is lower now that he isn't president.

I do think it's time to change it to: 'how they'll set up Biden (but not really Biden knowwhatimean?) to be installed as dictator.' My argument still stands that democrats will always do what they accuse their opponents of doing.

I think the article would be more effective without the "both sides" attempt at pseudo-balancing blame, and then not giving any examples of republicans (MAGA, specifically) spouting hateful rhetoric. I mean, it still seems pretty one-sided to me.

Some of the initial videos I saw had a much quieter gunshots (mics pointed towards stage). These others are making me think it could have been something like a .223.

Apparently it worked on one guy in the stands. RIP. (although one guy claiming to be a doctor who tried to render aid says he saw brain matter, which now makes me want to think it might have been something a bit stronger than a 22)

This also crossed my mind. Trump would have to be in on the acting if this was indeed staged, and if the MSM ever found that out, they'd put him through the shredder. He would go from being up +1 or +2 to ending his campaign in utter embarrassment.

You have to prepare you mind for it if you want near-absolute assurance that you'll react in the way you want. We don't walk out our door in the morning and hold mock drills where someone starts shooting at us. Found an interview (from the MSM unfortunately) from someone who was in the stands: (the guy claims to be familiar with the sound of gunshots and even he didn't want to believe that's what it really was, until he saw people get hit)

Fight, flight, or freeze. It's psychology. If one person had started running, I'm sure more would have. Most people are herd animals. Ever notice how deer won't take off running the moment something startles them? Most people have no experience in being shot at, and no one knows just how they'd actually react if they were.

Sounds like maybe a low caliber firearm. (though hard to tell from the mics being focused towards the stage). I suppose it is possible in the moment of shock from the initial shots, to be hit and not necessarily have an obvious physical reaction.

Kamala must be jealous that he replaced her. In all seriousness though, do we start amending our conspiracy theories now, or is it simply time to admit he's just a bad president, but not in 'the club'? Maybe like a Carter.

We're just encountering more people on the Left who are unhinged from reality and are so desperate that they will do anything to keep Biden in the race because of their hatred towards Donald Trump. They don't live by ethics and principle; they exist by emotion and power-addiction.

My assessment is not just based on what occurred in the past, but it's also based upon current, undeniable observations with the way Trump is being villainized in the political culture. The very tactics of lawfare being used against him ought to be evidence enough of the extent to which his opponents in the mainstream media, the Democratic Establishment, and the liberals within the social media industry are willing to go to keep him from winning. But you also need to keep in mind that Trump supporters need as much help and numbers as they can muster in order for him to win. And you will have to deal with individuals such as myself who will not help Trump win the nomination because of our vehement disagreements with his populism, his fundamental philosophy of civics, and his own personal characteristics (i.e., his ego, his failure to repent of his past marital infidelities, and his over-the-top behavior at his rallies which do nothing to address root problems in our fiscal and monetary policies). The Democrats have hive-minded followers who are deep cultists devoted to anything marked with a "D," and that herd mentality isn't something which is readily available to all those to the right of them. That's why Trump isn't going to win, anyway, even if you accept that the elections will be "free and fair" on a national level. You simply need to "wake up and smell the coffee." The powers that be are not going to allow Trump to win, and that, of course, is because God has given us over to evil people in our political process. I blame us Christians for not being vanguards of our republic, as we were supposed to be, and because of our defeatist eschatology, we allowed (essentially) Atheists to come in and deconstruct our political process and institutions for their own good.
