Wow. At around 10:25 of the 2nd video in Occam's last post: Hard to hear over the news guy speaking, but regarding the recall vote: "I'd like to thank the residents for standing with their mayor, that you elected, by 82% of the vote." So even if it had been deemed constitutional, she would have defeated the recall efforts.

I guess next time anyone takes out a loan, they need to call this judge and ask what he thinks their assets are worth. I took out a loan for my current home in 2015. It was listed for $129k, I offered $4,000 over that. Even offered to pay all the closing costs and fees. (I really wanted the house.) The bank approved the loan for $133k. Did I defraud the bank? I mean, I know it's a little bit different situation, and I'm not running for president against the left's favorite dementia patient. But still, I guess I'd better stay out of New York (which will be easy.)

Nope. But anyone who lives in Georgia could have told you there was at least a 95% probability of it being true, just based on the county in question.

"Us versus them" has been around since the beginning of time. (yes, even before the existence of intelligence agencies) The only problem it has now, is that everything is so jumbled together and overlapping, with people of different belief systems living on top of each other (often by design). Red-states, Blue-states, used to be a thing, and now it's Purple states. Purple states everywhere. Everything is up for grabs. Go get it! Georgia has 2 Democrat senators in the U.S. Senate and yet damn near every state-wide office at the state level is held by a "republican". Quite an anomaly, but nonetheless, Georgia is a damned Purple state. A BatTLEgRoUNd StATe. So every election, funds pour in from all over the country to try to fight for this state as if lives depended on it. Admittedly, I don't 'feel' the Blue-ness. I do my damned-est to avoid Atlanta or other liberal cesspools scattered across the state. I have to wonder if it is really as much of a toss up as the media makes it seem.

They know what to do about it. When the propaganda stops working, governments don't just throw their hands up and say, "well, finally you got us, guys. Good game." :shrugging:

How I wish Massie would express his discontent with Johnson, without appearing to defend McCarthy. It's not winning him any favors from the establishment, and it's only serving to piss off the grassroots (almost nobody outside of D.C. liked McCarthy).

They need to prove it. There's a reason I don't go into the ghetto and tell black people my opinions on what they should do to change their situations. I'm white. At the very least, they won't listen to anything I have to say, and at worst, it might be the last thing I ever say. Likewise, as a conservative, I don't go into the democratic party and tell them what they should do to change their situations. (hence, why I'm not vocal about Kennedy (who I personally still find appealing, despite his unnecessary stance on Israel/Palestine). The Left already thinks he's just some MAGA plant. The best thing any Trump voter with a favorable opinion of Kennedy can do for his campaign is to shut the f'k up) But if they should ever be ready to change their minds, and it comes from within—a sincere, heart-felt desire to challenge their own beliefs . . . well, hallelujah.

Democrats are a lost cause man. I've been saying this for ages. And they're not going to change until they're willing to (no matter how much we try to wish a revolution into existence). The only meaningful debates over where this country is headed are happening on the Right (and it's been that way since Ron Paul established a foothold for opposing viewpoints in 2008). Your suggestion (not mine), is that we need a new party. I'm saying that the best chance for you to get that, rests on a candidate you hate. The only question is, who is going to be standing beside you in that new party? If it's the Bill Kristols of the world, you may find the GOP's locks have been changed if you try to come back.

So, imagine we're in the 1840's-50's, which "Whigs" are going to leave the GOP and form the "republican" party? Will it be the neocon wing of the Bill Kristol variety? Good, been trying to run them out of the party for ages. Will it be the Trumpers? Will we get a MAGA party out of this? Lesser of 3 evils now? Well, it's progress. Those options sound exciting and chaotic, and I'm not opposed to it at all. (though it is kind of sad that the unabashedly authoritarian Democratic party will still be at full strength, maybe Kucinich can kick up some dirt and form an exodus of his own https://signalcleveland.org/dennis-kucinich-officially-breaks-up-with-his-party/).

Do you think it's easier to reach that point with or without Trump? (If he's as bad as you say he is, then it should be just a matter of time before we get that 3rd party (to replace the 2nd party and therefore become the new 2nd party, but I digress). If he's not as bad as you say he is, well, now we've got to admit that, yes, indeed he was actually better than Biden, and that our claims that there was 'no difference between the two' were hyperbolic)

I mean, once the Republican party supplanted the Whig party as one of the two major parties (and the Whig party just, imploded), it was still 'both' and has remained so until this day. Apparently, the American people will never allow themselves to have a densely populated field of parties to choose from. If one arises, another one goes extinct, and you're back where you started. It would be nice if we could choose between the lesser of 3 evils, or 4 evils, or maybe even 5 evils. That would be exciting. I'm using Occam to solve the equations in that scenario.

Maybe after Trump we can get a president who is better on both. Right now, we have a president who is bad on both. It's like algebraic equations. You just take out the common variables on both sides and what you're left with is the difference. 2a + y + 3 = 6x + y + 8 "y" is the garbage COVID policies. Both Biden and Trump suck. So, just remove "y" from both sides in this equation and weigh the difference.

Interesting breakdown. I'd like to see one on Nikki. How many "never Nikki" would actually vote for her in November? Considering that they aren't really asking the Trump supporters (who make up an apparent majority between the two, at least judging by the last two primary season contests), whether they would hold their nose and vote for Nikki in November. Then couple that with the fact that a large portion of her primary supporters are going to flip back to democrat and vote for Biden in the general. Her general election chances may be grossly inflated. Personally, I think Nikki Haley is going to "destroy the GOP." (Did I get that right? Is that the narrative?)

Yep. These folks are totally clueless. My area has a town with, what appears on the surface to be, a nice historic district with homes dating back 100 years. About 2 blocks away, it's all hood. The realtor can't mention that. Lo and Behold, some NY or Cali transplant starts wigging out on NextDoor about the gunshots, loud cars, hoodlums roaming the streets in groups, etc. A lot of these carpetbaggers bought their homes outright or put a lot down on them, due to the cost-of-living difference after selling their McShacks in their old communities. So, they're stuck. They can't move back (if they sold the house they live in now, it wouldn't cover the down payment on a mailbox where they came from), and lord knows that's the only reason I feel sorry for them, because I also wish they could leave.

Realtors can lose their license in Georgia if they mention crime stats while showing houses. At least, that's what a friend of mine's wife told me. She's a realtor. I'm not sure what they're supposed to say if a potential buyer asks them directly, lol. Just "Uh, hmm. Good question." *shoulder shrug*
