I like eric, but here he gives facebook too much credit as a "private entity. " Goldman Sachs invested into facebook sometime around 2011. If you recall correctly, that company shouldn't have even existed in 2011. Goldman Sachs should have been crippled by the housing crash. https://medium.com/@BetterMarkets/goldman-sachs-failed-10-years-ago-today-2097a82b6f2 Therefore, as a US taxpayer I'd like to stake my claim to facebook right now. I should at least get my own page with the freedom to say whatever the hell I want. Oh but, can't do that. I don't see this being much different than when cash register libertarians get excited when states outsource their prison management to "private companies". Mother fk'ers that ain't no free market.

Amen, let's get this sh^% show over with. For maximal political gain, though, I don't think anything will really start to happen until Spring of 2020. Start calling Pelosi every day until then and she might bump the schedule up a bit.

Look I said, I don't want to see Amash go. 94% freedom index is pretty damned good for a congressman. I suspect YOU are the one who wants him to be gone, insisting that he jump on this witch-hunt bandwagon, which is POLITICAL SUICIDE in republican circles. Unless y'all are intentionally trying to get Amash out of office by encouraging this stand, I give you sir, an F, in situational awareness. The support he will gain from joining the bandwagon is going to be negligible to the loss he's gonna take when the neocon MSM gets done with him. Y'all want him to lose this battle AND the war. Hell there's a good chance that Amash might outlast Trump's time in office. Well, there was. Hopefully it was worth losing a congressman just so you can poke Trump in the eye. H'yuck h'yuck h'yuck. G-d-damn, use your brains. You gave me a neg rep, and I'm somewhat offended, but not because you didn't like what I said. I basically just let loose what was on my heart with that post, put time and effort into it, and you gave me a one-liner reply presumptively accepting an apology from me I never offered. I still don't apologize. And you missed about 90% of what I wrote. I even bolded and italicized the important parts for you. Between you and I, I'm the one who isn't 'blinded by Trump.' I'm telling you, in 5 years, he's gone. The clown is gonna leave the circus. If you're ready to start fighting the MSM then, we'll be waiting for you. But you know, you could always start now.

Go get back on your moral high horse. I didn't mean to knock it out from under you. Actually I did, but, it is your horse and you should have it back. I just did a search for "newsletters" on RPF and there's 80 pages of archive. You'd best get cracking. You want to know what we had to deal with from the MSM/establishment before Trump got here, and what we're gonna have to deal with in the coming days when he's gone, if you're in this for the long haul. But then again if you're just some spoof account created in 2016 to oppose a reality TV star, and aren't gonna be here after 20-24, I don't advise you to waste your time with the research.

I ain't flipping Jack Schitt with you. You know what this whole charade is? Everything from DAY ONE of this presidency. Newsletters. If you don't get the connection, you'd best go digging deep in the archives of RPF and find thread after thread of posts about "Newsletters". F*ckin superficial. character. assassination. Wasn't right when they did it to Ron, and it ain't right now. I mean FFS, how can someone be dragged through the mud this much and still come out orange? You dont' get it.

You find me some principles other than "Orange man bad" and I'll concede the point. You still have to explain why sometimes Ron Paul agrees with Trump and sometimes he lets him have it and doesn't hold back. At least when he finds fault with Trump he doesn't pull his talking points out of CNN transcripts. You are making it more about the man than the issues. In all his years in office, Ron NEVER did that. This ain't the sword to fall on, friend.

I don't want to see him go precisely for those reasons. You're not gonna easily find someone to fill that seat and have that kind of a voting record. I do find it curious that so many people here want to cheer him on as he commits an act of political hari kari, but no one ever accused libertarians of being politically savvy, so maybe I shouldn't find that so odd. If I was gonna fall on a sword, I would rather it be going against a war in Iran and pissing off TPTB, and going out in a blaze of glory, rather than parroting the MSM talking points. No one's gonna remember him for that.

EVERYONE should be looking for a Trump alternative. Even if you support the guy. If you aren't constantly trying to find someone better to fill the position, then you'd be settling, saying "this is the best it gets." I'll admit I think it's the best its been in a good long while, but if Trump is as good as it gets, we're still in a heap of trouble. I don't see anyone on that polling list that would be an improvement, though.

Seriously, wake me up when Trump has someone killed in a "botched wallet theft" in the city of D.C. where nothing of value is taken from the body. Perspective is something a lot of folks don't possess.

I mean, the same deed that he supposedly should possess in order to stop people from coming onto that land would not apply to you as well to allow it? If it is not his to prohibit people from coming in, then it is not yours to give away freely. The question then becomes 'what is to be benefited from it', which is the point at which philosophical arguments fail and pragmatism takes over. I need only look at the disasters that are Europe and the state of California to know that once enough weight has been tied around your legs, you will not likely see the surface again. And I see no point in further encouragement of socialists into our midst.

Hey I'm ready to stop any time democrats are. I've found you can't really just walk away from them though, they're damned persistent. Then we've got libertarians that see something like this and go "sic 'em democrats! sic'em". So, it's kind of hard to accuse the right of "partisan pecker waving." when you've got so many people here on the forums egging it on. The whole strategy from day one by the left is to drag everyone down into the mud and bamboozle people with shipments of nothing-burgers, precisely so there is no substantial discussion over important matters. If you really desire the latter, then you should be as fed up with these shenanigans as I am. I've been ready to move on since election day 2016. Just look at 'em and say: H.L.G.O.I.

I kind of feel like when you attack a politician no matter what they do, they won't have a clue what you want them to do. Maybe Trump needs a groundswell of praise for this stance. Instead of "orange man bad." Just sayin'. Even Ron Paul gives him credit where it's due. It's okay to still be skeptical, though.

This thread has gone dumb. Pure hypothetical nonsense. Mexico would NEVER allow us to send the amount of troops it would take to secure its border. Hell practically every year there is a fk'up at the border of some sort where a US official crosses the border and it causes a diplomatic incident. Not. Gonna. Happen.

Oh I have no problem with someone siding with the "other side" over an issue. Heck, Rand Paul working with Democrat Ron Wyden to repeal long-standing parts of the Patriot act comes to mind. What I'm calling into question is the "issue" that Amash is siding with the left over. I don't think principle has a whole lot to do with it. Someone would have to explain that one to me. It's pretty damned popular to attack Trump, so if anything, from what I've seen, he's going with the flow. "I don't like you so . . . IMPEACH!" is a pretty lousy principle to stand with democrats on.

Even Ron Paul thinks the left is acting like a bunch of retards over the Russia collusion crap. Hell he's even sided with Trump a few times in the liberty report. There are a lot of things Ron Paul would have problems with as far as how Trump does things, but he draws the line at siding with democrats over a nothing-burger. Amash wants to join the impeachment bandwagon, he's welcome too, but I think he's siding with a bunch of people that would happily see him out of office as well.

they're not gonna impeach. The democrats think there's a lot more to be gained by dragging this out as long as possible and leaving the smell hanging in the air up until election day. If they go to impeach, they're gonna have their asses handed to them just like when they pushed the Kavanaugh hearings to a head. You repeat something enough, it becomes true, but after a point, it's just tiresome. I say let them drag it out, then, until the phrase "Russia collusion" is an worn-out accusation to the point of being meaningless, like "racism."óa term the left has also destroyed.

He's cooked then. What irks me about this whole thing is that Trump is showing impressive restraint. If he were going after the corrupt lefties as hard as they're going after him, the Potomac would be red with blood. The democrats are acting like the psycho possessive girlfriend that stalks you after you try to walk out of a bad relationship. If you stay with her, she's gonna end up getting b*tch slapped. So you try to do the honorable thing and shrug it off, but she won't let you. AKA: Hillary lost, get over it.

I don't think it's just modern politics. This has been going on since FDR. Farmers have been denied the autonomy to stand on their own feet because they take the "blood money" from government and then government tells them what to plant, how much to plant, etc. The few proud family farms that won't take subsidies get gobbled up by corporate farms that do. The inheriting son just doesn't want to farm. The old man can't do it anymore. They get an offer they can't refuse, and the corporate farm grows bigger and hires more lobbyists to send to D.C It's a sad phenomenon, but to blame it simply on rainfall and trade wars is awfully narrow-minded.

Doesn't Amash have a lot of dems in his district? I hate to tell him that when you try to appeal to everyone and straddle the fence, you usually get impaled on that fence. Buddying up to democrats is gonna piss off Republicans and the Democrats would rather see him replaced with someone who lines up more with their big spending/big government beliefs. I honestly don't know what he's trying to accomplish.
