Well, within the next few weeks, on Thanksgiving, I will have been without a paycheck for exactly 1 year. I'd like to be able to say that 'I'm sticking it to the man', that Uncle Sam is gonna be so disappointed next April because I've broken the matrix, and that I'm doing my little part to bring the leviathan to its knees. But in truth, I can't keep this up forever, the savings are dwindling down, and I will likely have to re-enter the workforce sometime around new year's. Uncle Sam will have been un-phased by my little tax protest, and I'll have to choose between my health and being able to sustain myself. It has been nice telling myself that at least I'm not working to support the leeches, but that's just what I'm telling myself. The reality is I've had no impact at all.

I would imagine if I were on this jury I would have to ask to be recused due to the sheer stupidity of the arguments coming from the prosecution. I don't know much about the law but has there ever been an instance where a jury decided that the case before them was so utterly imbecilic that it ought to be a crime to make anyone suffer through it? Not exactly, nullification, but more like WTF-ification?

Republicans don't do that. They protest at the U.S. capitol. And are uniformly hated by everyone for doing so.

I thought the judge already chastised the prosecutor for bringing up the curfew issue without being able to cite an ordinance or anything regarding a curfew.

IMO that looks like a jeep. Still more believable than cyber-tru—thing. I do like that bollinger actually has rims that don't light up like the circus is in town, which is apparently a mandatory feature on future vehicle designs. Mercedes douche-mobile.

Is this really speculative? Asking honestly because, at least there's a product involved with this. When I think of "speculative" I think of people who buy $100 worth of some new electronic currency valued at 1/2000th of a cent, and cash out a few years later with thousands (and thousands) of dollars. I have a lot of disdain for those people because from an economic standpoint it makes no sense. No product is moved, nothing is manufactured, no labor involved, and it is very, very hype-dependent. When the hype dies down, a lot of people are left holding the bag and don't even have any assets to write off. Now, I'm not a fan of these electric vehicles by any means and certainly not at $70,000+ dollars for a light duty truck, and when they throw in the self-driving features (which is coming I'm sure) they can set it on fire and roll it down a hill and I'll gladly trade it for a coupe DeVille. But, a lot of people are into this stuff. And this is actually something that can be manufactured and lead to productivity, versus just being some numbers punched in a computer somewhere. Though, I will reserve skepticism that a new EV manufacturer is quite possibly getting a gov't kickback somewhere under this new Greta-green-fanatical era we find ourselves in. It gets harder to have the moral fortitude to not buy into it though, when you see others getting rich off gimmicks.

I don't think they care. There was a small part of me that had hoped that the results of the Nov. elections might have put the brakes on this whole COVID vax madness, but they don't seem to be letting up (in fact doubling down with the Nov. 4th release of details for Biden's mandate). At least with populists, they do (somewhat) fear electoral repercussions. These guys on the other hand, are like 'damn the torpedoes' and it concerns me greatly (to put it mildly). I've never seen such blatant disregard for public opinion, and there have been some fairly tone-deaf moments throughout history.

Liberals melt down over Judge's ringtone (that might not even be what they think it is): https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2021/11/10/media-pounce-on-rittenhouse-judge-ringtone-usa-cross/ Listening to it again, it doesn't sound like any part of Greenwood's "God bless the USA". But that hasn't stopped liberals from calling for the removal of Judge Schroeder for his now 'obvious bias'

I understand the ETA bit. It is just a weird comment considering that prosecutors will make their decisions based on the political clout they think they can gain from it. 2020 saw a number of DAs letting violent rioters off the hook, because it was politically beneficial. That's the same reason they're going after Rittenhouse. There are a number of reasons you could support or condemn prosecutors, and Thaddeus seems to imply that team (R) always supports them and team (D) is always skeptical. The prosecutors in this case (thankfully) are pretty sloppy and likely believe that the media has won this case for them, but thankfully the judge doesn't seem to give a damn what the media thinks. (Considering the judge has a "God bless the USA" ringtone, I'm gonna guess he's probably not a liberal.)

Not usually in firearm related/self defense cases. That award for overzealous prosecution almost always goes to democrats, and this is no different. Seems to me Thaddeus tried to turn this into a "gotcha!" but failed miserably.

That's kind of broad, honestly. I mean are we supposed to weigh opinions based on whether or not we like prosecutors or, the merits (or lack thereof) of the case?

I believe Virginia has to process mail-in ballots as they arrive. New Jersey is probably one of the states that just throws them in a closet somewhere until 3AM the day after election when they go fish out however many votes they need to win. I joked that the red areas of these states should withhold their results until democrat areas are ready to release theirs. Not surprising that one side shows their cards in the final round of poker, gets up and leaves the table for a drink, comes back 5 minutes later and the dems have a winning hand.

I have to admit I'm more enthusiastic about Sears than Youngkin. Same with the Lt. Gov in NC Mark Robinson. Because {Caution! - Identity politics ahead} it's about high time conservative blacks started calling out the liberals on their plantation welfare schemes and race-card playing. As others have stated, if the liberals had won in VA and Winsome had been a democrat candidate, this would be all over the news. But because she's conservative . . . silence. Not that it matters to me, personally, what color someone is, but I can't stand the hypocrisy.

Sometimes I don't think we're divided enough. One reason you get candidates with positions clear as mud is because things are so mixed up in this country you can't tell conservatives from liberals or liberals from conservatives. Draw the line and put a wall between 'em. Let's see once-and-for-all whose ideas are better. No crossing over if you screw up. Sleep in your own poopy beds.

Meh. People are already divided based on ideology, so the existence of an elite ruling class of 'theys' makes no difference, in my opinion. The powers that be certainly benefit from exacerbating that division, true, but the division would still be there regardless.

In VA they have to count absentee ballots as they come in, which I think makes it a bit harder to cheat, as compared to other states where you just stuff them in a janitor's closet somewhere and try to count them all during the night after election day.

I don't know if Tucker's views about 9/11 have changed but I tried to watch one of Ventura's shows a few months ago and had to cut it off. I know the guy always was left of center but I think he jerked left hard at some point.

Perhaps. I think it's more than just about sex though. I tried the MGTOW thing for a while but ultimately arrived at the same emptiness and sense that something in my life is lacking. . I guess it did help keep me focused on self-improvement but now that I've got everything sorted in other areas of my life, I'm lacking on the interpersonal relationship front. I guess you could say I've become more self-aware since quitting work last year. I realized just how out-of-balance my life had gotten, to the point where work was all I knew (and debating on the internet because well, when you work nights, the internet is always open 24/7). I've never been one to spend lavishly on myself. My needs are met, my bills get paid, and now whenever I think about going back to work, I find myself asking, 'so, what's the point?'. At my age I should be providing for a household, fulfilling a man's rightful role in society. In the absence of that, everything else seems rather pointless unless you are just some ultra motivated dude wanting to rack up as much money as you can before you die. But, I'm digressing. Broadly speaking, I'll add a #4 to your list: I think we have hyper-sexualized this generation to the point that there's not really any mystery to it anymore, and sex seems to be the crown achievement in a 'relationship' over the mentally-stimulating and rewarding prospect of emotional intimacy. Maybe I should have spent my days chasing pus*y in my 20s like everyone else, but I always thought the women would grow out of it, and start wanting something, I guess, more meaningful. I'm wondering if I was wrong. I'm definitely old fashioned and find millennials unrelatable. Spend 30 seconds on the internet and you'll come across a stupid Tik-Tok vid with some smoking hot girl wearing next-to-nothing and making kissy faces to rap music, and somehow it gets 10 million views (+ my view, although it's mostly just because I'm compelled to see how dumb people can be for fame). These young'uns watch reality TV shows like Real Ghetto Bit*ches of Atlanta and assume that drama-riddled behavior is worthy of emulating. Maturity is seriously lacking in our society and I think you kind of need at least a modicum of maturity you're serious about settling down and forming a family.
