First you'd have to hold Fauci accountable for circumventing the gain of function funding ban, which funneled the money to those labs so that people could live out their mad-scientist dreams. Fauci of course, seeks to change the definition of gain of function whenever Rand confronts him about it. We'd need about 50 more Rands in the senate to see anything come of it.

I'm more concerned about the media being granted undue credibility than I've ever been about any possible damage that Trump, or even Biden, could do. Presidents come and go. The media remains. And the bureaucrats who write the scripts for the nightly news—those guys have been there through it all.

I do admit I at least appreciate the author wearing his bias on his shoulder. In a nutshell. I'm curious to see if they can keep the story going. It's hard to tell a lie too long before it comes back onto you. Either: 1) The top brass knew about the balloons and failed to notify the president at the time, which is plausible since Mark Milley actually came out a while back and basically bragged that he worked to keep the president out of the information loop (see for example: https://www.cnbc.com/2021/09/15/milley-held-secret-calls-with-china-others-as-trump-pushed-election-lies.html ) 2) They're lying now Either way it makes them look bad, but luckily for them no one in this administration will hold them accountable so . . .

I know not which weapons WWIII will be fought with, but WWIV will be fought with balloons.

It's not the MAGA folks who need that reminder. I went to a few rallies and the disdain in the air for the GOP was palpable. If Trump ever runs as an independent I'm gonna have to borrow Occam's joker-eating-popcorn .gif

Naturally that's what I assumed as soon as people started saying this also happened under Trump. If the media had suspected any inkling of weakness from Trump, they would have pounced on it. Kinda late to be spreading these rumors now.

How long before North Korea starts testing balloons that repeatedly crash into the Sea of Japan?

I'm underwhelmed honestly I thought he could come up with something snarkier than that. not that anyone should care what that relic from the Bush era has to say anyway. The biggest threat to the US from China is the amount of debt we owe them. It's just ridiculous to see politicians freaking out about a balloon when we all know that they'll be on their knees sucking China's d*** tomorrow anyway.

My theory remains that Kamala will be instated after a Biden impeachment sometime early this year so that she could potentially get nearly 10 consecutive years in office. It is true she is a lousy unlikeable candidate. But she also has no desire, it seems, to be burdened with any responsibility at all, which means she is a perfect shoe-in for a system where bureaucrats run everything behind the curtain anyway.

But maybe 5 out of 100 immigrants are libertarians in spirit, so we should be able to turn the tide in years.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that if open-door immigration was a net benefit for libertarian political influence, the elites would shut down the border in a heartbeat. Must be some reason they promote opening the gates at every possible turn. Like you know, this massive, concerted, propagandized effort to bring in as many immigrants as possible. . . can't quite put my finger on it. what could possibly be the reason?

Usually when white people get beat up, other white people will shake their heads at what an idiot the criminal was, and then go about their business. Making martyrs of thugs is some sort of cultural thing I guess. (speaking in general here: not saying everyone who gets beat by cops is guilty or deserving of a beat down, nor is it a particularly desirable outcome in any case, nor am I trying to diminish the problem of police brutality, but yeah, not gonna burn down my neighborhood because some meth-head got shot, certainly not going to give them a mural or a golden casket) And if that wasn't politically incorrect enough: White people aren't worth as much in lawsuits. *mic drop*

Jefferson seemed to favor immigration to the extent that people could be assimilated, but we're not even able to have that discussion anymore. The best way to show that capitalism is superior to socialism, for example, is to have two examples in stark contrast side-by-side so that anyone observing from the sidelines can clearly see the difference. Hence the need to have everyone jumbled together and living on top of each other, resulting in exactly what Jefferson described as "a heterogeneous, incoherent, distracted mass". As far as current immigration policy goes, assimilation is to be avoided at all costs. You can do that by throwing untenable numbers of Californians into Georgia, Massholes into New Hampshire, or Central Americans into the U.S, it's all the same. Jefferson goes on to write: You could imagine how unhappy California liberals would be if millions of free-staters from New Hampshire showed up in Sacramento and started trying to influence their government, but then again, free-stater porcupines would never f*cking go there, lol. Moving to an area where you have nothing but immeasurable contempt for local policies seems to be a uniquely leftist phenomenon. The fact that such migration is encouraged by the elites should give people pause for question.

I mean that pretty much sounds like where we're at. hell, I fear the same thing when yet another asshole liberal from up north moves into Atlanta and starts blabbing about (or worse, voting to change) everything 'wrong' with our state government, why should it be any different across international borders?

My thoughts exactly. Like Julian said, the goal of war is not to be successful. It is to prolong the war as much as possible to siphon as much money away from taxpayers as possible. v1aae9b (rumble videos are always black screens for me, maybe someone can kick that and get it working) (yay it works now thanks Occam)

The real question is, how is Bolton polling? I think a Bolton/Liz Cheney ticket would be the ultimate neocon duo.

I hope that isn't the prevailing Christian approach. It is true our kingdom is not of this world. However, so long as we are on this world, there are injustices which should not be tolerated.

I have a friend who said once of Harley Davidson: "You're paying to be in a club." They slap that 'harley davidson' name on it and it adds another 10K or usually more to the value of the bike. I'm just trying to imagine what that club is going to look like with everyone running around in man-buns and skinny jeans on electric scooters.

There's a pretty long list of stupid things that government did manage to do. I wish I were so confident that this was a distraction. You might be right, but I do not see why they would need a distraction to cover something that Biden won't be held accountable for anyway. Let's say that they found 10,000 classified documents in Biden's ice cream freezer. It wouldn't matter. So, I believe that the banning of gas stoves is intentional and purposeful. Although that's not to say it can't be both.
