Not gonna defend Liz. Plenty of people in the media willing to do that.

That's pretty arrogant to presume that you're defending anything by pouting on the internet. (Not throwing stones, I mean, I'm here too.)

Here's some good votes that you just lost: H.R. 497 01/31/2023 Good: Yes Yes Forced Vaccinations An executive branch agency, such as HHS, has no lawmaking power according to Article I, Section 1 of the Constitution, and therefore cannot impose vaccine mandates via executive decree. Even with an act of Congress, Covid-19 vaccine mandates would still be unconstitutional due to the lack of constitutional authority for Congress to pass a law mandating what you must put into your body. H. Con. Res. 21 03/08/2023 Good: Yes Yes U.S. Military in Syria The military intervention in Syria was initiated by the president without congressional approval, despite the fact that the power to declare war belongs to Congress.

Bingo. If you bust up into the room with the schtick that you're always right, everyone else is wrong, and start brow-beating everyone else in the room, very, very few people are going to tune in. I get being principled. I get it. Don't lose sight of your goals. Maybe work with the people you agree with 85% of the time, while making those cases for why you'd like to see the remaining 15% improved. But being principled and arrogant does no one any good.

Unless you get 100% you're a traitor. Actually, you should get more than 100%. You need to be bleeding purity from your eye sockets. If Jesus was in the seat next to you, your record had better put him to shame. Ron Paul's lifetime score is only 97%. I feel like my whole life has been a lie. Awesome, now do one for Chuck Schumer and tell me which one you'd rather see get run out of office first. I'll save you time. I don't even have to look it up: Chuck Schumer votes YES on damn near everything that grows the power of the state. Lindsey Graham votes YES on printing new money and laundering it to Ukraine. Now, that I've accurately guessed without even having to look it up:

Hey, radical idea here: you think maybe we could start with the worst politicians we'd like to see out of office, and then work our way up to the ones who are actually kind of decent? Or just "meh" politicians, if you like? Or maybe "bad" but not outright evil like the ones who would blackmail a congressman's family to raise money to rescue a CIA agent? Do we have to start with the best of the bad? (or the worst of the best) Because in Gaetz's case, I see no reason to celebrate "his sorry ass" being out of there. I would love to see Mitch McConnell's, or Chuck Schumer's, or Lindsey Graham's sorry asses out of there. Instead, Matt Gaetz is out, and . . . you're celebrating. Or do the purity tests not work like that? Let's knee cap the people we could work with on some things, before we solo-confront the people who are responsible for the really evil sh!t.

I thought it was odd that they just up and dropped the investigation, but the official fake IDs would throw a wrench in the accusation that he willingly and knowingly had sex with a minor. Not a lot of difference between 17 and 18 and if she shows you an actual driver's license issued by a government office then that would be hard to fault. I'd heard about the extortion of Gaetz's father but that's the first I've heard about the tax commissioner.

Thought this was pretty good. Lots of the same points I've been making that Biden doesn't even know where he is, these escalations in Ukraine are being rubber-stamped, a lame duck is a dangerous duck.

I'm gonna say it again. I don't think Biden is doing this. We have essentially had an auto-pilot bureaucracy calling the shots. (that includes politically-motivated top brass. See: NSFW (language): General Milley sucking off bankers). That's no defense of Biden, he has his own interests in Ukraine (or at least, his family does since Biden probably can't remember who gave him any money at this point), but he was never running things. I would wager it got even worse once he was deposed by the DNC. If he was deemed not competent enough to be the 2024 Democratic Party candidate, then why was there no effort to remove him from the presidency altogether? Is he somehow competent enough to run the country, or were they hoping to keep handing him ice cream in exchange for rubber stamp signatures? Almost no coverage of Biden after the nominee swap. Except when he came out wearing a MAGA hat, which IMO shows he's either completely lost his mind to dementia or he had an axe to grind with Kamala. I'm leaning more towards the former, but I suppose it could be both, with a little bit of the latter. War has been automatic for a long time now, and for the next two months, it's going to get a lot worse. Everyone in DC right now is looking to 'get it while the gettin's good'.

Well, if you adopt the stance that illegal immigration actually helps TPTB, could you really call this 'resistance of federal tyranny?' That vaguely reminds me of Scotland wanting to break free of Great Britain so they can stay in the EU. ---------------------------------------- I would suggest another approach: It is not necessary to 'increase funding' to these jurisdictions to persuade them to stop harboring illegals. I would say cut funding. Tally up an estimate of whatever federal funding is or could be used to house/feed/clothe/or otherwise care for illegal immigrants and cut it. Don't even warn them that you'd do so. Just cut it. (The ARPA funding is already due to expire in 2025, and must be used by 2026. Denver has been using these COVID relief funds to buy hotels and house illegals. But I'm sure that's just one program) Then let Denver figure out how to handle the issue itself.

Exactly. Not to mention the first step to changing anything is exposure. If you want justice for COVID, RFK,jr's far more likely to accomplish that in the role of HHS head than a handful of contrarians on a discussion board waxing poetic about how everyone should have their purity cards revoked because they see an opportunity (probably the only real one in 4 years that we've had, to take a swing at Big Pharma) and take it.

I don't think *in person* early voting is necessarily a bad thing. I'd rather it be that than mail-ins, because this nonsense about late arriving ballots is happening and getting worse every election now and funny enough, it only seems to benefit democrats.
