I didn't care much for them after Newt Gingrich got hushed by the anchor for bringing up George Soros. I don't even like Newt, but he was about to hit on something they didn't want said, and it was quite an eye opener. I wonder how many conservatives even know that clip exists.

AFAIK party registration is only important for participating in primaries, that's why I say that the ability to influence primaries would be their motivation for switching. They can still vote for whomever they want when they take the ballot in November. So if they are changing registration to make a point . . . that would be truly alarming, because I don't think many people would do that (it's hard enough to get people to get off their asses and vote in person, so these are some really dedicated moderates/swing voters to be making symbolic gestures). Already got my hopes burned in the past with the #walkaway fizzle, in an election year where Biden received even more democrat "votes" than Obama. Gonna try to avoid that rosy optimism this year and not take anything for granted.

It would be great if Liz Cheney loses her primary *and* goes to jail for perjury/fabricating evidence.

Where have you been? Usually they are ads for other movies but . . . (to be fair I just saw the first movie I've seen in over a decade -- Jurassic World - - -do not recommend, but there's always been ads where I'm at)

I wonder how much of those switched simply to sway the primaries, though. I'd be cautious about reading into this too much. I think a better indicator is when historically blue areas go red in actual election results (like Flores- however even then you have to consider that a special election may not predict possible outcomes in a general election).

I really don't think we should keep tip-toeing around what democrats might do, because they're going to do it anyway. It's just a matter of whose terms.

Well once they figure out they can actually move it will. Some leftists are quite stubborn and will remain in states that are diametrically opposed to their beliefs, because they are still unable to comprehend the connection between liberal policies and high rates of homelessness, skyrocketing property values, feces in the streets, crime, small-business-crippling environments, and general moral depravity.

I get all that, just that I don't think that's what they have in mind. They propose what essentially constitutes a bailout. Meaning the schools won't learn anything from it, the indebted students won't, and the banks won't. If the process for filing bankruptcy already exists, then that is what they should be allowed to do. Additional special rules or processes aren't really needed. Just let the students file for bankruptcy the same way that you would let people drowning in medical bills.

I don't know that I'd consider bankruptcy the same as debt forgiveness. I fully support students being able to file bankruptcy to liquidate the bad debt, but it isn't a painless process, nor should it be. The good thing is college students are typically young and they have time to rebuild their credit. Might not be going out as young adults and buying a house right away, but that's not happening right now anyway for various reasons.

I was watching from GA as mere outsider looking in, but I dunno, she didn't seem that bad. I tend to give extra credibility to candidates who are relentlessly attacked by the media and she definitely took first place on that one.

Does PA have open primaries? That kinda fk'd us over here in Georgia. The GOP establishment was basically relying on rabid liberals to cross over and save them in the primaries. Should give you kind of an idea of what we're up against.

I mean, it was basically one or the other. If you think there's gonna be anyone better than Trump in 2024 I'll gladly go for them. I don't see DeSantis running for pres in 2024, and the vast majority of the other GOP likely contenders are as much of a puppet as Biden. Romney? Any Bushes that haven't been tried yet? Maybe Liz Cheney can be our first female president? Pence the empty-suit? Reckon I'll pass on all those. At least Trump had a basic understanding that you can't just kneecap production and expect an economic recovery. Biden has been a politician for half a century and doesn't really understand how anything works outside of politics. Or perhaps more accurately, the people who are behind him and controlling everything don't understand reality. Or they do, and they're intentionally trying to destroy everything. Best way to stop or at least temper the coming runaway inflation would be to open access to every oil field in the US, get the well pumps running again, hell, maybe even export the excess to some of these European countries that are paying $8+ per liter out the a**. Possible under a Trump administration. Not possible under Biden.

I've said it once and I'll say it again and I'll say it a thousand times more: If it were truly that easy to usurp the constitution using an article V convention then TPTB would have done it by now. What have you got to lose? They ignore the constitution now. Have an article V convention, they will ignore the constitution then.

California won't leave if a dem is president. Best you can hope for is that republicans gain a supermajority, and democrats decide to leave, and HOPEFULLY the Republicans won't be stupid enough to bring the democrats back next time. I still think we should try kicking states out of the union over secession next time. Secession was tried and failed and now has a bad reputation. But kicking someone out has never been done before in the USA. Just call it 'granting them independence' so it doesn't sound so bad.

Apparently a post circulating on facebook says she also had to surrender any firearms she has and must seek prior approval before applying for credit. I can't seem to find any information though regarding further conditions for her plea/sentencing.

It is kinda sad how debates are almost non existent. Having said that all the moderators they choose will ever do is ask silly sound-bite questions over trivial issues, usually in some attempt to ruin the character of candidates they don't like.

I'm just gonna throw this prediction out there that by 2024 Trump will run as an independent, the GOP will nominate some milk-toast republican like Romney or Liz Cheney and Biden will be riddled with dementia/alzheimer's so severely he will be unable to speak but the media will find some way to use CGI to make it appear as though he is not a lifeless vegetable.

Maybe the county sheriff could enforce it for them. I doubt the federals would prosecute further but it would make them look pretty bad. Like, "hey, we got these guys for you, holding in the cell. You can come pick them up." "nah we gonna let them go even though you've done all the hard work."

Agreed with the first few paragraphs 100%. Still struggling to see how you're going to 'fight' against this injustice without splitting up into two groups. I can count on one hand the number of liberals who recognize this puppet show for what it is. Jimmy Dore, Glenn Greenwald, Tulsi G, Brandon Straka. . . . okay less than one hand (and devil21 will be here soon to remind me that half of those folks are just controlled-controlled uno-reverse opposition-opposition-opposition and I'm being duped). Seems just about everyone else on the left is calling for some sort of blood sacrifice because some politicians pissed themselves. The rest of America could probably care less if D.C. slid off into the Potomac. I won't be watching it because it is a mockery of our judicial system. The FBI is currently purging anyone with conservative views or skepticism of the Jan 6 narrative from their ranks. Every branch and agency of government is being politicized right now. If the democrats want to own that, let them. Let them fully become the party of censorship, inquisitions, and Soviet-style purges. Let us for once draw the lines between the two groups clearly and any RINOs remaining on the right can get tossed back across the line where they belong.

If I didn't live on a wooded lot I'd have one already, although I've heard of people owning horses in the city. I'm not sure it's very humane.
